MAIN THREAD

Well, since Moo and Katsumi are both on a hiatus, Bunny is the only staff-member for HoA right now.
SO!

So, HoA is looking for at least one or two part-time colorists, and possibly a full-time one, as well!
I'm SERIOUSLY in need of a super colorist, and at least one or two people than can do even small edits.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT BE ACTIVE.
This has happened to me twice now, so please do not apply unless you'd really like to join the HoA team~ I can't afford to hire someone who won't be active, especially with no other staff to fall back on!

We'll end the hiring thread between June 23 - June 3oth, 2o11. Whenever I'm satisfied. @___@ Probably 2 - 3 weeks.

This will be a two-part event. First, you will apply using the lineart below.
If I like what you've shown me, I will send you the current lines we use to do another few samples.
This will help me determine how well you can do on our current lines.

►►Part-Time
►/ / .Must have 1 Custom Slot open per month. No more than three slots allowed. No Bribe Slots.
►/ / .Must be able to turn out 3 Unedited Flatsales per month. We prefer if all stages are done at once, but it isn't necessary.

►►Full-Time
►/ / .Must have at least 2 Custom slots open per month. [No more than 6] One Bribe Slot Allowed
►/ / .Must be able to turn out 3-4 Unedited Flatsales per month
►/ / .Must be able to make one edited adult-stage a month -- for auctions, raffles, games, or for future use.

►►General Responsibilities
►/ / .Must cert own images, and upload to the CORRECT folders in the photobucket.
►/ / .You must be reliable. This includes keeping up with growings, certing your colorings on time, and most likely taking on more than you can handle. ; o; [at least in Bunny's case.]
►/ / .You must be able to manage your own custom/breeding threads in the guild.
►/ / .You MUST use a program that can read and work with Photoshop formats - as ALL of our lines and templates are in .psd extensions.
►/ / .ALL UNCERTED IMAGES MUST BE UPLOADED AS .PNG'S WITH NO BACKGROUND.
►/ / .You should be able to edit your own lines -- even if it's just small edits such as jewelry.
►/ / .You should be able to contribute ideas for events, as well as for the shop in general. Usually most of the staff meets on AIM to discuss things, so it's preferred if you have that.
►/ / .When uploading your colorings, you need to be able to title them correctly and put them in their proper folders in the photobucket, to make it easier on the staff to find the certed AND uncerted images.
►/ / .You must try to stay present in the shop thread so staff and patrons can converse, question, and heckle you on a regular basis. >]
►/ / .You need to have a knowledge of Breedings to be able to make them unique between the parents.
►/ / .If ANY Real Life OR Gaia issues come up, WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THEM. As soon as possible. Please don't just disappear or ignore the staff! This makes it hard on all of us. Especially me. D;

►FOR THE LOVE OF HORSES, do not use photoshop brushes unless its absolutely NECESSARY. We can tell when you use them, and so can our customers! We understand that brushes sometimes look FANTASTIC, but just try not to use them!

►Color a minimum of two original pets. If you are able to edit, please do so. Remember -- small edits like jewelry are acceptable. But Bun's NEEDS someone who can edit something. Feel free to add as many HoA samples as you'd like -- the more we see what you can do, the better!
►Please make sure all links and images are functioning!
►All entries you make should be used ONLY in this thread [[not in Roleplay or in Signatures]]. These are our COLORIST lines, and we do not use them for the shop. Never use these lines in the future, either.
►Having AIM is a plus, but is not required.

►What do you think is your biggest challenge? Edits. I can tell that I have improved over the years, and as I get familiar with the lineart, they will get better. But edits, especially big ones have never been my strong suit.
►What do you think you're totally epic at doing? Organization, Loyalty
►Time Required/How Fast/Slow do you work?: I'm not sure without playing with a full-growing horse template. Probably a few hours a horse, without edits, if I were to guess. Depending on the edits, a few hours to a few days.
►Do you foresee any problems in the future with producing the amount of pets required or getting things done in a timely fashion? Nope
►Why do you want to work here? I would love to be a part of a brand new shop. I find that it's easier to fit in there, and people are generally nicer.

►Are you currently working anywhere? Yes I am a full colorist and certist at Nature's Wonders and Centzon Totochtin. Though those shops are both re-opening and really slow for the time being.
►What do you think is your biggest challenge? Hair and Wings. I can get the wings but they take a good amount of time.
►What do you think you're totally epic at doing? Tribals and random killing boredom stuff.
►Time Required/How Fast/Slow do you work?: If it is heavy tribals or tridal wings or big edits.. And my computer and programs be nice it take a few hours.. More simple things shouldn't take that long.. Though remember I do have a 16 month old Daughter.

►Time Required/How Fast/Slow do you work?: If it's just coloring, I can finish all stages of a pet in an hour or two. One afternoon is all it takes to do a full FS set of 3.
►Do you foresee any problems in the future with producing the amount of pets required or getting things done in a timely fashion? I don't know how crazy things will be once college starts back up again in September, but that will be the main issue.

►Can you perform all duties listed? Yurp. I tested my abilities of editing with the lines provided and it doesn't look horrible or bad! I'm quite proud of myself, actually. However, I thought I was just testing with it and created one of my OCs in doing so. sweatdrop So if you want to see the editing and don't mind that it was made after an OC of mine, then I'll update this application with the image. Otherwise, I'm going to keep it in my "never to be used" folder. XD

►Where? I used to co-own Critter Haven which started about 6 years ago and ran for about 3 years. I also work at a couple of places currently. See below.
►Are you currently working anywhere? Uh-yup! A Guest Artist at Spliced: The CRONUS Project, and a Part Time at Eidechse. :3
►What do you think is your biggest challenge? Very detailed patterns such as leopard spots or realistic looking tiger stripes. I do my best well enough, it's just a bit of a challenge most times. :3
►What do you think you're totally epic at doing? Flat and Faded coloring? XD I'm not exactly sure, really. In my own opinion, I still need to work on a lot of things.
►Time Required/How Fast/Slow do you work?: That depends. If given free liberty on designs and patterns and such, it'll take me quite a while. I often find myself changing things quite a bit until I'm happy with it. Same goes for anything with edits. I'm a perfectionist sometimes, so I'll keep redoing something until I'm remotely satisfied with its appearance. However, if given a detailed enough description, I can pop out a pet (all stages) within one short afternoon. That's roughly 2-3 hours. :3
►Do you foresee any problems in the future with producing the amount of pets required or getting things done in a timely fashion? Not really. If things keep spiraling downward in my personal life, then I might be on a temp-hiatus for roughly a month until I get things settled enough to worry about other things, but I'm seriously hoping that isn't going to be the case.
►Why do you want to work here? I was given an anonymous tip that you guys were hiring. After spending some time looking over your shop's info and what not, I was intrigued. I like the lines and the current staff seem like a pretty interesting and fun group. Makes for a good environment, no? Also... Pineapples....
