Arachne watched as her Skitter swung from the tree branch above her, dangling from a fine thread of his silk. She was back at the tree where she'd first met Sepheran, hoping that he might be out for a walk with Liannan again, as she wasn't bold enough to go into the Monster dorm and go to his room.
She laced her fingers together, watching her pet swing back and forth, and after a while she let out a little sigh, and held her hand out to him. The Skitter scuttled onto her hand and tapped one leg against her wrist in a comforting manner, as he knew his owner only too well, and her reason for coming out here.
She didn't move straight away though, choosing instead to stand an extra few minutes, before finally giving in and leaving the shadow of the tree, crossing the patchy grass and starting along the path that ran near the Monster dorm. She was deep in thought as she walked, and wasn't paying too much attention to where she walked.

That would make two of them not paying attention then! Sarias had learnt from her error with Petro that you never ever skate while looking down. It was a rookie mistake that she wouldn't be repeating again any time soon, and even more so today as she was skating out here in no-where land. In fact today she had far more worrying things playing on her mind. Mainly revenge, but that was becoming a far more common occurrence these days. No today she needed to find something special, something that may get her back into Seiji's good graces again. Why she was even bothering she still couldn't fathom out. He was a measly ghost, not powerful or impressive, just there. Existing. But somehow she missed him. Missed that stupid whiny voice of his and those opinions he held so close to his undead heart. God he was annoying! But still...she just wanted to be able to at least look at him without turrets of abuse, let alone speak to him again.
So she was doing something about it. Not through talks or begging for forgiveness, gifts and repenting, s**t like that. Nah, that was for fools with too much time on their hands. She was going to drug him, drug him up good and make him talk to her. It seemed like a fantastic plan! Why she didn't do this to everyone she would never know. Of course the school laws were relentless in their protection of herbs and poisons. No one, but no one got to harvest them without permission from Professor Cadmus. Shame that...real shame.
So here she was 'looking' for the more...accessible herbs while hoping to stumble across the ones she truly wanted. The nice ones that had black veins crawling up the stem and made anything in a 3 meter radius vomit their cuts out if smelt while burning....what!? It wasn't going to be a 'nice drugging' by any means! He actually hurt her feelings for the first time ever, she needed to get him back at least a little for that. Yet as one searches on the floor for these things it is very difficult to know when your about to walk into the back of someone...and blame them of course.
"Uff! Ow...what the hell is it with you students and walking into people! Your like the third one this week! WATCH YOUR STEP YOU...you...demon?" Her eyes rested on the red hair of the ghoul in front, a world away from her own blue locks as she stepped back to gain her composure. It may not be common knowledge but Sarias had a soft spot for demons, respect if you will, but only just. A hand brushed her shoulder where imaginary dust was swept away, a look of distrust and anger flowed to her features but her tone remained level.
"Humph! Well...your forgiven, but look where your going next time! What are you doing out here anyway! Your not...spying on me are you?" The look she gave could kill...and had.

'You were going faster than me.' Arachne replied, checking on her Skitter as he had fallen towards the ground when the ghouls had collided. He'd had chance to cast out a line though and was slowly climbing back up onto her body when she checked on him.
'But I guess I wasn't paying attention. I was lost in my thoughts.. and what?' she stared at the ghoul, one eyebrow arching up in confusion and disbelief. Had Arachne herself been this bad? She didn't think so.
'Uhh, why would I spy on someone I don't know and have never met before?' she stood upright now, a hand on one hip as she projected a little more of the 'old' her. It seemed necessary given how quickly this ghoul jumped to the most illogical of conclusions.

She shrugged as if the questions was one in which everyone one asked everyone, everyday.
"Hmm well you seem...like the sort who would spy on people." She tutted as she continued to brush herself down, as if the ghoul had some invisible dust on her that Sarias needed to get off and now. Her eyes fluttered to the Skitter that was currently twirling it way back up to safely and her response was to snort in disgust.
"You can never find enough of those for a good torture session, i tend to pull their legs of bit by bit instead of one by one. They make this adorable squealing sound!" She almost smiled then as she leant over to wave a hand in the direction of the spider her cooing teasing it all the while. "I will show you sometime with that one if you wish although..." It was now the ghost took a second to really looked at this demon, she was getting vibes, vibes that travelled to and fro from the skittle to the ghoul. Reading her aura as they stood there she finally realised her mistake.
"Ahhh, I understand now!...Your....your going to breed that one and do it to the offspring! I totally understand, genius!" Nodding at the other ghouls good plan she started to walk in the direction of the open fields. Her mission was not complete but it didn't mean she had to do it alone. A slave *ahem* helper, was always welcomed.
"I don't do this everyday giving...social handouts a chance, but if you wish you can...come walk with me?" It was hardly a friendly calling but her voice did sound sincere. Was it possible that Sarias was aching to speak to someone as well? Now that she had all but lost everyone she had made a connection with was this her way of calling out for help?.....Nah she was just bored.
"Listen your obviously waiting for someone! Help me out and maybe by the time we get back 'he' or 'she' or....'it' will be there waiting for you? I doubt it but...well?"

'And why would I seem like 'the sort'?' Arachne asked, watching the ghost ghoul continue her primping. She attempted to stay civil as she said; 'I'm not covered in dirt by the way.'
She flinched at Sarias's next word, tucking her Skitter away as she shot a look of disgust at the ghoul, her voice frosty as she spoke again.
'No I do not wish to see you torture any kind of spider, least of all my pet.' her mouth went letterbox thin as Sarias continued to speak and she shook her head. 'No! I am not going to do anything of the sort to my Skitter, or any offspring he may have.'
She wondered how to extricate herself from this meeting without riling the ghoul up, but maybe that wasn't possible. 'I'm sorry, I really must be heading back to my room.' she began to say, folding her hood tightly around her head as she felt her Skitter tuck himself right in the back of the hood amongst her hair.

Sarias rolled her eyes at the statement. Why was everyone's first reaction to her was to leave!? She let a sigh escape, long and slow as if seeking patiences. She really didn't want to be holding the hand of a demon who had obviously lost her way. But i guess if a charm offensive was needed...
"Listen...that was just my humour...i think. I guess you didn't get my joke even if it was a good one. Bad taste and all that, but i promise you i won't touch a hair on your little skitters head for the whole day. And i keep my promises!" she wagered back hoping it would at least seal the deal. The light was fading fast (when was there ever light in Halloween!) and her thoughts ran over the herbs and flowers that only bloomed in the weakening hours of sunlight. She needed to get a move on but...she didn't want to be alone either.
"Lets do this right at least? My name is Sarias, please who the heck- ahem, i mean who are you?"

Arachne kept her hood up, but stopped where she was for a moment to listen to what the ghoul had to say.
'Very poor taste.' she murmured. It hadn't seemed like a joke, but maybe the ghoul didn't have the finesse to tell them, or had forgotten to say the punchline.
'Okay, we'll start again. I'm Arachne, it's..interesting to meet you.' And it had been, but not yet a pleasure, nor good, so she couldn't have said either of those.
'And I was waiting for someone, but when we ran into each other I was heading back to my dorm. Will whatever you want from me take long?'

It was obvious that Sarias wasn’t thrilled with this idea either, but damn it if she didn’t have this horrible feeling that she didn’t want to be alone right now. The whole Seiji drama had shaken her to her core and she never wanted that to happen. Not like she told the boil that at the time though. Yeah she was stubborn but she knew she was right. Knew it. But it didn’t make it any less painful. Right now she wanted someone to agree with her, to lend who some advice. She never sought advice and certainly wouldn’t have started with this ghoul. But beggars can’t be choosers.
“Arachne, such a lovely name I can see now why you choose such…choice familiars…” the ghost nodded again in the direction of the spider, but how very…obvious. Choosing your own species offspring was so…well normal. To show real strength was to disown those that give you power and command something that you have no connection with at all…ahh but when demons will learn.
“Oh it shouldn’t take long, I doubt your someone will show up if they haven’t been by already. I hope it wasn’t arranged? Ha, do you think he saw you and ran off? Poor thing, come, I will take your mind of him!” She signalled for the demon to follow her onto the grass, the forbid forest peppering the sky line far out to the west, the direction in which she was taken them.
“Don’t worry, what I need is on this path, not as far as the forest but a walk. Why don’t you tell me about this boil then…or ghoul I suppose.”
It wasn’t like she was interested in this ghouls ramblings, but a problem shared is a problem Sarias can then make the other ghoul solve for her! She adopted her most sincere look as she began to walk west, her wisps beckoning to the ghoul that waited behind.

'I am a spiderkin demon. I have an affinity for them, and they in turn are happy in my company.' Arachne wasn't sure how much of what the ghoul had just said was a compliment, or if it was at all. She would have to stay on her toes with this one..
'No, it wasn't arranged, and he wouldn't have seen me and ran off.' she replied, through far more gritted teeth. She wasn't about to tell her that he wouldn't have been able to see her anyway as he was near blind.
'I was just in the area in case he was out for a walk.' she followed Sarias with some reluctance, wary as to where she was being led, and on her guard.
'Boil, as I said. He's... well, we got close on that awful trip. And I like him.' And that was all she said on the matter. Sarias had not proven herself as someone that could be opened up to, and they had just met.

Sarias laughed sarcastically at her last comment a knowingly look crossing her features as she peered over her shoulder.
“Oh don’t even mention that horrible field trip! I mean yeah, yeah, everyone died and was reborn, fantastic. But nothing happened! I mean did you learn anything new? I know I dam well didn’t! How is that meant to help me in preparation for my exams? You tell me that!” It was entirely sure if Sarias was talking to herself now or at the ghoul as she rambled on about the teacher’s incredible lack of knowledge and poor teaching skills. It was only when she reached a small swamp filled to the brim with muddy water and god knows what else did she finally stop talking about this academy’s failings. Her eyes searched out for her treasure as she bent over slightly, her hands tucking her long blue hair behind her ears as she squinted and looked for her herbs.
“You know you can tell me his name.” She mumbled as her hand snapped out to pluck a frog from the depths. Her eyes lit up with malice as she held it up high by one spindly leg, her hand twisting it slowly as it croaked for escape.
“I won’t steal him from you if that’s your worry.” She added with a laugh her sly grin growing deeper as she slit the frogs throat with a pointed nail from her other hand, its black innards falling down into her palm and onto the grass. Her eyes fluttered briefly from frog to ghoul and back again.
“If you must know the skin can make a lovely pouch, for coins, make up and the like ….” She squinted towards Arachne as if trying to suss it out. “Its looks like you need it….or more of it…either way I’ll make you one when I return.” She sniffed as she pushed the corpse into her basket, her body returning to its pose hovering above the swamp water. Was this Sarias being friendly, offering gifts? Hard work for nought in return….this couldn’t possibly be good.
