Ishekhesi was out on the borders of the pridal lands, once again working on his songs. He had the bark roll out before him, making notations on them with fine scratches from his claws. He was working on a song for the God of Healing's shrine, soon to be completed by the carvers and set up by him and the other shifters.
Silent as it was, he was a bit shocked to see a lioness passing near him.

Accendo walked quietly, occasionally looking at a tired Ein following, and the female woyuld then walk again, almost not seeing the male working as she passed him, mind barely noting. She couldn't tell if he was real, or not-- since coming close to these lands she'd been hit by visions that rose more questions than answers. Her father had come here- why? And what was the tugging feeling at her mind there was blood here of hers? She stood, looking in a glazed state, the matrix around her neck glowing with her father's lifeforce. Ein watched, worried for his friend, then spied the male, perking asnd jogging over.
"Hello.... Pardon our manners... Where are we?"

Ishekhesi looked a bit puzzled. Was she, and her companion trailing behind, were they lost?
When Ishekhesi spoke, his voice was rough and low, as if he had something wrong with this throat.
"You're near the borders of the Ulilli-Mlindaji pride. We are a group who seek to honor the gods and the dead. We build memorials and remember. Is there someone you wish to honor?"

"We were wandering. My friend went into a weird trance when we came nearby." Ein looked apologetic, unmindful of his voice. Accendo blinked, and turned to the new male as if seeing him a first time.
"You... Honour the gods?" She turned, padding over.
"The God of Leadership came this way. Did you see him?"
Her tone was pleading, almost begging. The feather on her ear glistened, her father's matrix glowing softly at her neck. Ein sweatdropped.
"My name's Ein. Her name is Accendo nox Nictus. I apologize again. She's been looking for her father."

Ishekhesi looked at the two travelers. Looking for her father - and the god of leadership? Perhaps one in the same. But, to his knowledge, there were no actual gods living among the Shrinekeepers. He was sorry to disappoint.
"I'm afraid there are no gods living in the pride, at least not known gods. Can you tell me anything about him? I can ask the pride to look around, pray to him, see if he answers. And I can offer you a place to rest. Everyone who comes in peace is welcomed to the Ulili lands."

Ein looked to Accendo, whom nodded.
"He's silver, blue, with stars in his wings like mine and golden eyes." She sighed.
"Rest would be nice."
Ein nodded.
"All I know is... He's a very kind male." He felt bad being less helpful, but.....

Ishekhesi felt equally useless. He had never seen a lion of this description, but the female seemed . . . just so lost. He wished he could help. "I will spread the word among the pride and our pilgrims to look for your father, but I don't know of any that fit the description. There is one little ratel who stops in often with us, but travels widely while he is away. I will ask him, especially to be on the lookout. Our pilgrims usually return home immediately after they have accomplished their task and may not be much help."
Ishekhesi lead the two to the pilgrims' rest area - a sandy collection of small dens where the temporary inhabitants stayed, closer to the borders then the dens of the pride at large.
"There are streams near here, and if you need to you may ask for some food from our hunters, and I am sure they will oblige you."
