Ingmar had, at long last, been allowed to join a band and leave the ancestral lands to go a-viking. Since it was his first time out, the Captain had paired him with a more experienced lion, in the hopes that he would neither ruin everything and maybe even learn something.
Ingmar had come a long way from his days of been a rollie pollie, loudmouth cub that couldn't fight. His mother's mate had trained him diligently; he had practiced on his own. He still spoke loudly, but he found he also knew how to be quiet.
And he was finally going viking. There object was to capture thralls, if possible, but mainly to bring back preybeasts to add to the Stormborn's heards.
Ingmar waited behind Udayagiri, waiting for the senior Reaver to make his decision.

While this wasn't his first Viking, he wasn't used to being paired up with the new ones. He was mentally preparing himself for it. There were bound to be question that he wouldn't answer. Sure he had to teach the guy how to do this properly, but he didn't remember much about his last Viking. It wasn't that he was getting old, it's just that he hadn't been on one in so long.
Turning, he eyed the least experienced member as far as he was concerned. "Come on then. Let's go see what we can bring back," his voice was deep and commanding, rumbling from deep in his chest. "What is your name anyway?" He didn't even remember that. "Ingmar? A good name."
With little other words, he motioned Ingmar to follow him, trying to figure out how they would go about this and bring back something useful. If this Viking failed, he was taking to Aesir.

Ingmar nodded and followed his mentor, trying to keep quiet as they went. He really wanted to capture a thrall on his first Viking, but the Warlord had said what the pride really needed was preybeasts. Preybeasts to feed the pride, without leaving the pride lands, scarce with herds. They were to populate it.
Trouble was, Ingmar had no idea how to herd preybeasts. He hoped Udayagiri did.
"What exactly are we after right now?" he said, as quietly as possible.
