Yes... one of our favorite bands has just decided to put an end to it's long history of great music...

Rock band D'espairsRay have just announced that they are to disband, as of June 15th.

The band announced an indefinite hiatus at the end of 2010 following their performance at Yokohama BLITZ, to allow vocalist HIZUMI to treat his vocal chords. However, his recovery has been taking more time than was expected and after long discussions the members have decided to put an end to the band.

D'espairsRay thank all of the people who have supported them since their formation in 1999, and apologize for making such a sudden announcement and for not being able to hold a last live.

i read that the day of their disbanding. I was saddened crying
I never really listened to them but it is certainly a shame.
I hope that people will find a cure for that rare throat disease

I miss this band.

Unfortunately, it seems everybody has gone their separate ways. Hizumi is working on his Umbrella project, a website where he puts up a lot of his illustrations. There is a music section which is coming soon, but only time will tell what that will bring.

Karyu has since joined up with Angelo. I tried getting into this band, but after three songs, I wanted to slap the singer.

Tsukasa and Zero have formed their own band called The Micro Head 4N's. I haven't listened to them yet. I was too peeved with Angelo, that I didn't want to put them next on the chopping block.
