Sudi:
The great hunt Oseye had talked about had come and gone, and Sudi was back to waiting for his friend underneath the tree where they had met the day they had gone exploring the temple. He'd thought a lot about that day and the feelings that had come upon him more suddenly than he had thought possible. Shouldn't things like this take more time? Well, his parents' relationship had started off rather quickly...
When it all came down to it, he liked Oseye. He'd seen other lionesses wandering about, but he would always find himself thinking about how she was much prettier. He was usually such a calm young male (Unless he had to be tough), and yet he didn't mind her cheerful, energetic attitude. He rather liked it, and it worried him at the same time. He felt like he should be protective of her, even more so that with Miu.
What was wrong with him?
He slumped to the ground, placed his head on his paws, and closed his eyes to try and think some more.
Oseye:
She was larger now, finally filling those paws she had been born with that had been a little too big for her. She had finally reached adulthood, and was as beautiful
and graceful as her mother .She was thankful to have grown like mother. She had aspired really to be nothing more. She knew momma loved that she hunted, and together they
went on hunting escapades that had brought the duo together. But now, she was fulfilling a promise. It was the sun after the great hunt, and she had told him she would go
and see him. She hadnt gotten Sudi out of her mind since she had met him. He was this handsome ball of fluff and the older he got, the more she felt her heart pang for his attentions.
She wasnt normally such a mess, but all she could think about was the one guy who had ever treated her as more than just a pretty face.
She saw him rather quickly, her paws sifting through the sand. She was glad to see he hadnt forgotten, or better yet, she didnt see a pretty female with him. So he wasnt married.. That
made her smile. Not that it should have, being she had no idea what the future held.. but it offered her this little tinge of hope.
"Sudi." She said, her voice more proper, softer, yet sexier all in one somehow.
Sudi:
Sudi's ears twitched forward at the sound of his name and his eyes opened slowly to see who had said it. Oh, he knew who, without a doubt. He knew that voice, that scent, even now. But even though it hadn't been too long since he had last seen her, it was almost as if something more had changed in Oseye when he opened his eyes to look at her. It was as if that hunt had been the one thing holding her back in cubhood and during it she miraculously changed into a proud lioness.
Yeah, he was long gone.
"Hi, Oseye," he replied, sitting up slowly, smiling at her. "Did you enjoy the hunt?"
It was a stupid question, but nothing else came to mind. Nothing else that he could really say right then. She he certainly didn't want to burst out with something stupid.
Oseye:
She was happy to see her friend again, and it shown clearly on her face as she smiled walking closer. She was af ew feet from him before he had said hello.
She giggled, and nodded. Oh she had loved the hunt. She had brought down a gazelle all on her own. So what if it was younger, she had captured it herself. She
stood a bit taller, obviously prouder than she had been before. She had proven herself, and now she felt like a confident, lioness who could do what she set her mind
to. Then why couldnt she stop thinking about the guy?
"I did! Mother was quite proud of me, and Ive officially been deemed an adult. Its quite a feat, I think." She giggled with a nod. She looked him over, noting how handsome
he was, with his muscles that were outlined beautifully with a pelt that fit him perfectly. He was beautiful. Simply beautiful.
"How have you been? This has been a horrible time apart.. All I could think about was you," she admitted.
Sudi:
Sudi couldn't help himself. When Oseye came near, he moved to her and gave her cheek a small nuzzle.
"I'm glad you had a good time. I've completed my own training, though most of what I do is still experimentation," he replied, reminding himself that he would have to make a special perfume, just for her. He needed to give her a gift, something in him told him to.
"It has been..." His voice lowered slightly and he pulled back from the nuzzle, though just enough so that he could look at her.
"You've been on my mind, too, ever since that day when I gave you make-up and you took me to the golden room."
Oseye:
She blushed when he nuzzled her, but she leaned into it just the same. With a lick to his cheek, she pulled away and grinned. She could definitely
tell he had been training. He too, looked more confident than before. She could feel her heart beating wildly, and she tried to take a deep breath to calm
herself.
"Oh? Well thats good! You shall have to show me just how good you are." She said, batting her eyelashes. So he had thought of her too.. that was nice. She liked
to know that it had been the same on his end. Maybe that was a good sign.
"I havent forgotten that day either. Truth is, I dream about it often." She said with a smile.
Sudi:
Sudi nodded when she said she wanted him to show her sometime. He would, for certain.
"Whatever you want, around your eyes again, on your cheeks or mane or paws." He avoided mentioning the perfume because he had suddenly decided he wanted to make that one a surprise.
His heart sped up a few beats when she batted her eyelashes at him and told him she dreamed about the day they went into the temple. He blinked a bit.
"You dream about it? How so?" he asked, wondering what her dreams had been, or if she would even tell him.
Oseye:
She nodded enthusiastically. She was happy that he would so willingly give her make up to make her look beautiful. She felt simply luxurious
when he used his art on her. She felt like her own living piece of art. She couldnt wait to do it again. She flicked her tail a little, and let
the fluff trail in the sand. She sat, her eyes looking up at him, blue and lovely. She wanted him to come to her, though she knew that it might
be more difficult than she was thinking.
"I had a dream, that I never left the gold room, and we lived there." She said. She hoped he would get the rest without her having to explain, she could
already feel the blush coming on!
Sudi:
Sudi's ears flicked back sadly at her words about her dream. In part, it had been what he had expected, no hoped her dream would be and yet the other part of it had not. With a small sigh, he let his head fall slightly for a moment before he looked back to her, green eyes holding blue.
"I can't give you the golden palace, Oseye..." he said softly, then rubbed his cheek against hers again.
"But I can give you me, if you want me," he finished, his eyes squeezing tightly shut. Had he really said that? Had he really told her that he wanted to be with her? He hadn't said that he loved her or anything, he probably should have. Oh dammit, he was screwing this up!
Oseye:
She had begun to say that she never needed him to give her th golden palace. She had opened her mouth to say that it was okay, and she would love him anyway..
But her mouth was frozen as he continued talking. She looked like a deer in headlights, her heart pounding in her chest as if it would soon explode out of it. She
almost cried, but she forced those tears to stay from her eyes. Had he just asked her to be his? She was pretty sure that was what was happening, and she didnt know
if it was possible to be happier.
"R-really? You'd wanna spend.. forever with me?" She asked, cocking her head so that her mane fluff fell from her eyes. She wanted to be able to look into his, and she couldnt
do that if one eye was obstructed.
Oh hell, if he could be honest, she could too. What was the use not telling him how she felt herself? She could possibly lose him that way, and that wasnt what she wanting.. Not at all.
"I love..love you Sudi. You make my heart beat like crazy, and it makes me feel as if its going to kill me!" She exclaimed.
Sudi:
Sudi jerked back from her, blinking in surprise.
"That doesn't sound pleasant at all! The last thing I would want to do is kill you!" he replied, but quickly replaced his shocked look for a more tender one, trying to show that he had been teasing just a bit. Of course, he really didn't want to hurt her, but he had a feeling that what she was talking about was the same feeling he had whenever she looked at him with those big blue eyes of hers. He'd been lost before he even knew it.
"I'd spend forever and more, if you want me to," he finally said, reaching up a paw to help her flick the tuft of fur from her eyes. His own mane didn't help much be he wasn't complaining. It meant he was grown, he could take care of her if she wanted him to. And she would be his muse.
Oseye:
She leaned into his paw when he brushed her mane out of her eyes. His touch was soft, and gentle. Yet it was firm, and she knew she was safe wtih him. He was a strong, brave
lion, and she knew that he could take care of her forever. She smiled, and it lit up her eyes. They sparkled for him, and she knew she had found the happily ever after she had been
dreaming of all her life. She leaned it, licking his fur, grooming him. She felt his fur against her tongue and she continued grooming until she felt that satisfied. Pulling away,
she giggled.
"I want you forever and ever. You better promise." She said. She hoped he would ask her to marry him, and they could have a lavish marriage in front of the pride and her family, his as well.
She wanted that for the both of them. But she couldnt ask him, no, that wouldnt be appropriate.
"I dont think ive been happier.."
Sudi:
Sudi closed his eyes happily as she groomed his fur a bit, listening as she spoke again. His eyes slowly opened and he smiled at her.
"I promise, for ever and ever," he replied. Oh, but they had better make it official, in the eyes of the pride, shouldn't they?
"Would you marry me, Oseye? I know it's fast, but this just feels right. More right than I think anything has ever felt to me," he asked, raising a paw to touch the back against her cheek.
Oseye:
When he promised her forever, she knew her life finally meant something. She believed in destiny, and she knew that meeting him and splashing his flower that
day had been fate. She nuzzled against the back of his paw, and then nuzzled her way under his chin, so that his chin rested on the back of her neck. She purred,
and it vibrated her entire body. His warmth soothed her, and she inhaled his scent deeply. She loved his masculine scent.. It made her find him strong, and attractive.
Grinning from ear to ear, she pulled back to lick at his maw like a cub might.
"Of course I will. I dont think it was fast, its taking us moons to get here.. As we've both changed since that day I splashed your flower." She said with a giggle.
Oh she was so excited to tell mother! She knew that getting married he would soon have to get a den for them, and that she would eventually carry his cubs within her.
The thoughts of the future made her squeal, and her eyes lit up in delight.
Sudi:
Sudi wanted to take this slowly, step by step, but the look in Oseye's eyes told him that she would be the one steering them into the future, setting the pace. And suddenly he didn't mind. She was excited and it amused him. Her youthful joy and energy had always intrigued him, had made him laugh. When he was down, he always thought about her and couldn't help but smile a bit.
And then her head was smoothing under his and he knew without a doubt that this was right. She fit there perfectly, as if they had been made for each other. Fate... He had no doubt.
"I donno, I still imagine you'll find a way to interrupt my work or mess with it," he replied with a small chuckle, leaning forward to give her a small lick in return.
Oseye:
She chuckled, and nodded. Scrunching up her nose in a cute way as she nodded.
"Okay, so maybe. But look at it this way. You have a live in model to use your makeups on. You wont have to go and pay anyone anymore."
She said winking, so he'd know she was teasing. She loved his makeup, and she knew no one needed prompted to use it. When he licked her
cheek, she stood, pulling at his mane gently.
"Come on! We need to go set this up. Maybe soon I wont have to be apart from you in my mothers den any longer!" She said happily.
Sudi:
"Pay? Nah, I just used my sister or mother as models," Sudi replied with a small smirk which quickly softened.
"But you're a much more beautiful model," he added before she stood and tugged at his mane. He chuckled and nodded, standing to walk with her.
"Okay, okay! Maybe you're just a bit too excited, Osy." There was no chiding in his voice, but there was a laugh. He really did love her enthusiasm, and still hadn't realized just what her brother might do when he found out that some male was stealing his sister away from the family.
