Sometime in the night the young black stallion had shifted, not only his body but his mind as well. At one point he remembered his eyes flickering open, and only barely making out the shape of another horse sleep across the grove from him. Slowly he had wiggled his way towards the other, seeking the warmth and comfort that they would give him. Obviously he was thinking of his mother at the time, so when his nose bumped into the others body he thought nothing about it being someone else. So he had snuggled up nice and close, relishing in the experience, quite oblivious to the fact that it wasn't his mother.
As the sun began to peak above the horizon Nameless began to stir. His legs twitched, ears swiveled. "Mother...I need you." He mumbled and tried to pull himself even closer to the one at his side. Though it only took him a moment to realize the one he was sleeping against wasn't mother. No this horse had a different smell to it, and most importantly it was a male. Nameless let out a whinny of surprise and got to his hooves as quickly as he could. Taking a few shaking steps away from the large stallion and his scary looking pelt Nameless' looked around wide eyed. Who was this stallion? For some reason he looked oddly familiar but Nameless couldn't quite figure out just who he was. He wanted to run, to get away, but all he could do was stand there staring at the stallion, legs shaking in fear. "Where...where is mother?" He asked him with a pleading voice. Had she not been here last night when he slept? He was certain that she had been. What was going on.

He had woken up in the middle of the night. The stupid black colt had come to lay by him. He had simply sighed and pretended to move a bit away as he slept. The war horses he had been living with were distant and they never came close enough to touch. Maybe that was why Love stories wasn't as...happy as he could have been.
He however was still asleep when Nameless had risen. And the flurry of motion was enough to set Love's nerves on alert. He shifted so he could get up if he needed.
Love stared at the young colt as if he had gone out of his mind. And then something occurred to him. Nameless must be the poor lads...other self. There was an Indian in his village with a similar affliction.... He flicked his ears. He gave a shiver and looked at the black colt. "Nameless?"

Nameless' eyes widened a bit more. Not only was there this familiar looking stranger before him but the stallion knew his name. If only his legs weren't shaking so bad he might turn and run away, but it took all his effort just to remain standing. If he collapsed surely this stallion would see it as a weakness and dispose of him. He glanced around the grove carefully, though not so much that he would lose sight of the other stallion. They appeared to be alone, but he couldn't be certain if someone else was lurking in the shadows.
"How...how...do you know...who I am?" He tried to remember what had happened recently to piece together why this stallion was here with him. The last thing he could recall of himself was taking an injured mare to Ashia. But Ashia wasn't here, he knew Carnivore had made him leave her and now more than anything he wanted her or his mother. "Where...where's Ashia?" He could really go for the comforting and quiet words of that little mare just about now. Even the coarse fur of his mothers body would be quite reassuring at this point.

Love sighed. "So much for training."
He backed up. not literally but with his words. "Im Love Stories... Im not going to hurt you.... so either fall down or quit that shaking." He nodded sternly.
He then addressed the foals question. "Carnivore was here last night and asked me to help whip him into shape. He said that you may come around." Shrugging he flicked his tail moving a bit closer. He did however pause. "Ashia?" He shrugged. "Never met her... unless she is in trouble... i don't care to either... Come on... i said we were going to work on strength training... Carnivore bailed so guess you will have to work on it..." He narrowed his eyes. "Follow me."

Love Stories? That was an odd name. His ears dropped a bit when the stallion told him to fall down or quit shaking. It wasn't like he had much control over his shaking, if he as scared or uncertain he shook, and well sadly for Nameless he was almost always scared or uncertain of things. Mention of Carnivore made his ears flick a bit. "I don't like Carnivore...he's...scary." Even the thought of his other self made him want to shake more, but he dug deep inside himself and at least was able to make the shaking lessen a bit.
He didn't know where Ashia was either. "She...she takes care of me. I got...sep...separated from her..." Oh he would give anything to get that mare back." Wait. What was this training the stallion spoke of? Why would he need strength training? All Nameless wanted was to go home and be with his mother, or if that wasn't an option return to Ashia. As frightened as he was Nameless knew better than to no do as the stallion said, he was large and well-muscled, clearly he could kill Nameless if he wanted to. "O...Okay."
Nameless took a few hesitant steps towards Love. Off in the distance a branch snapped under the weight of frolicking squirrels. The sound made Nameless jump and cry out in terror. Flee! That was the only thought in his head. The young stallion took off at a full run, he chanced a look over his shoulder to see if whatever had made the noise was coming towards him.
Bam!
The black stallion bounced back a few steps from the tree he just ran full tilt into. He stumbled a moment and then dropped to the ground.

Love raised an eyebrow at the colt but kept walking. And then the little black horse spooked. He watched the scene play out and he was just about to turn his lumbering walk into a run when the foal came up short.
He tossed his head. Hiding his laugh he flicked his tail. He had told the colt to fall down or stop shaking... it looked like he finally listened. "Come on... we have ground to cover..."
He walked. It wasn't far to the clearing. He wondered if the colt remembered where he had placed the border. As he walked he kept an eye out for vine of some sort.

The world was spinning and he couldn't get it to stop even when he closed his eyes tight. He vaguely heard another voice, a voice he recognized but there was a pounding in his ears that made most of the words disappear. Bloody hell what happened. Slowly he managed to roll into his side and after a moment of dizziness pass he got onto his hooves. It took a few stumbling steps for the young stallion to gain his bearing and balance again. A solid shake of his head cleared away the remaining buzz from whatever had happened. His eyes focused on the large horse walking away from him. Wait a second, where was he going?
Trotting after Love he managed to close the gap between him quite easily and quickly. As he fell into step beside the larger stallion he looked up at him. "Carnivore head hurt. Did we start training already?" Maybe he had gotten knocked down in a training exercise. But if that was the case, why the hell was Love walking away on him. Some trainer he was. But sadly Carnivore didn't have any other option so he would need to stick with the stallion for now. "When we eat? Carnivore hungry."

Love looked over his shoulder to see the black horse had caught up. "Welcome back." He shook his head. "Nameless ran into a tree. We haven't started yet... Look for a long vine... make sure its thick...and long." He nodded continuing his trek.
And then he saw it. It was a long strand of grapevine climbing up and down a few different trees. He tossed his head happily. "Nevermind i found one." Carefully he moved to the tree and started to pull it down. He had seen the twolegs do this.
Gathering the long vine he draped it over his back and continued walking toward the clearing. "I will explain when we get to the clearing..."
It wasn't long till he entered the clearing. He turned to face the black colt. "Tie this about yourself."

Curse that Nameless and his clumsy ways. The fool probably got scared over nothing and ran into the damn thing trying to get away. It certainly wasn't the first time such a thing had happened. If only he could lock away that half of him permanently then all would be good. He couldn't have Nameless popping up during the most inopportune times - like when he would be fighting father. At least he hadn't missed out on any training, that would have pissed him off more than anything else.
The mention of a vine confused him but with a slight shrug Carnivore kept his eyes peeled for one. Love managed to find one first and so he followed him along until they may it to the clearing. Looking from Love and then the vine Carnivore tipped his head slightly. Tie it around him? Lifting his shoulders up in a shrug Carnivore did as he was told. "Okay."
It was a bit awkward to do but after a few moments of struggling and a few choice words directed at the vine Carnivore managed to tie it around himself. "Now what?" He asked Love as he turned to face the stallion again, wondering if he did the vine tying correctly.

Love had watched the colt struggle. He sighed and raised his chin but didn't help. Independence was the best helper when it came right down to it. He took the vine and carefully about himself on the other end.
"This is how we shall build your strength."
He watched the black horse. "Now... walk toward those trees... and don't stop till you get there." He waited, once the black colt started he would turn and start walking the other way.

Carnivore flicked his gaze up to the stallion. Seriously? This was how he was going to get stronger, how could a vine tied around him make him stronger. Maybe this stallion was as crazy as he was. It was certainly possible. More irksome is how easily Love was able to tie the vine around himself. Stupid green thing. He hated grass and now he would hate vines as well.
"Walk make me strong?" Carnivore gave his head a bit of a shake. Walking, this is what he signed up for. He already knew how to walk, and run for that matter. Letting out a breath Carnivore looked towards the trees that marked his destination, gave Love once last glance and then started walking, mumbling to himself about stupid vines and stupid walking.

Love stories watched the colt. He was doing two things here... teaching him to obey no matter what... and the other was to actually get that young boy in shape.
He waited patiently as the colt decided what he wanted to do and then... when the vine pulled and the black horse started walking toward the trees. Love lurched forward himself. putting all his strength into dislodging the other from his upright position.

The first few steps came easily enough. It wasn't like he was some newborn foal who couldn't walk. Honestly of all the things to do to gain strength walking was the last thing Carnivore thought of. Well all he had to do was walk to those silly trees over there. A moment later the vine went taunt and as he tried to step forward again Carnivore found his legs were up in the air, his font half being pulled up. Glancing over his should he saw Love was walking, but in the opposite direct. "What the hell are you doing?"
Carnivore had to take a couple of quick steps back while balancing on his hind legs to prevent himself from being completely pulled over backwards. Now pissed off more than ever Carnivore dug his hooves into the ground and pulled with all his might. Blasted stallion was being a jerk, but Carnivore could be a jerk right back at him. Lowering his head he focused on walking forward, though honestly he wasn't making much forward progress at this point. But he was determined, very determined to get to those trees.
Small ruts were beginning to mark the ground of the clearing to mark each of Carnivores attempts at pulling himself forward. This was going to be a long day, and he hadn't even eaten yet!

Love paused as the other spoke. He glanced over his shoulder and spoke one word."Walking..."
Love stories had done this training once by himself. He had tied himself to a tree and walked until the rope broke. That was a hard day... he had practiced all day and then ridden into battle that night... well it was late... so... more like the next morning. He shook his head and righted himself beginning to walk once more. The vine stayed taught but it was a give. He turned slightly to see Carnivore take his few steps back before he had righted himself.
He felt the vine pull. Love's feet dug into the ground. Good... he was pissed. Love laughed. He pulled back. However, he gave a very tiny back step before pulling forward once more.

"You going wrong way!" Carnivore snarled. He could see that Love was walking, he wasn't blind! This was why he didn't like being around other horses, they were too stupid for his like and often treated him like he was stupid as well. Snorting Carnivore put his weight against the vine, he was muttering again, only this time it wasn't about the vine but something about a stupid horse with a stupid name walking stupidly.
Anger seethed throughout his entire body. There was a moment when he made headway, got a step or two in the right direction and then the vine went tight again, nearly pulling him back. A snarl came from him and Carnivore dug his hooves in even deeper now. He could feel the vine rubbing against his skin, pulling hair out, and if they continued on this way may cut into his flesh unless they vine broke first.
He could handle that, but he was not happy about Love making him lose his progress every few steps.
