a nice room windows are always open. the walls are painted to look like a forest. he had piano in the corner, a stand for his violin next to his bed, and a guitar on his pillow.

 A lithely built figure moved through the halls, her feet gliding across the ground effortlessly, only shadowing away the mere whisper of an actual footstep, a type of flawless walk that seemed to belong on an exotic type of runway rather than an actual school hall. Though Syrena already had a dorm of her own, she enjoyed to sometimes appear randomly at the dorm's of others just to....socialize. With the purpous of Syrena's entire kind, or species, which was now "extinct" except for her, their inherited job in life was exactly that....to socialize, to be a more serious and stronger type of public speaker blended with the mentioning of a therapist and tour guide. Although she liked being friendly for the fun of it and general idea--to make new friends. For someone whose job it was to make friends, Syrena had few. Her immortality seemed to get in the way of most friendships, because most friends she ended up making either grew old and withered away or died from a natural cause, which would usually make her have to find an entire new set of friends or just stay on her own. Syrena had learned to handle and accept death fairly well--after all, she was a girl of few words after witnessing nearly her entire species being killed by a rare type of demon and having nearly any human friend she ever made pass away. She shook away her thoughts, literally, by moving her head to the side in a brisk motion; her long cascade of naturally silver-streaked hair rippling over her shoulders in a way similar to how moonlight would reflect off water.
The layer of muscles underneath her pale, stone-like hand retracted as it curled into a small first, which she used to gently tap on the door in front of her. The motion was acted fluently, as if it were a well-rehersed scene from a movie, which it wasn't. But Syrena's kind was created to be perfect--in flawless appearence, in motion, and even in personality. It was hard to find any flaw in her species, other than the fact that it didn't exactly have a name other than being referred to as a "species" and that her species in particular.....was extinct, Syrena being the only one to keep it alive. "Hello?" Her soft soprano voice called through the door smoothly, passing through her lips like honey. Syrena blew a few silvery wisps of her hair out of her innocent-appearing face nervously, her cerulean blue eyes flickering slight shades of purple under the lighting as she awaited for a response.

sato walked up behind the girl. "ah hello, how can i help you" he said with a gentle smile. he hid his violin and pulled out his key.

"Well, I'm new here.....I came to this school just a few weeks ago, actually. And I'm just trying to get to know a few people. Please forgive me if I am interfering with anything." Her soft soprano voice greeted smoothly, like the quiet chiming of bells. She dipped her head to him politely and did a lady-like curtsey, a small breeze ruffling the girl's silvery-blue hair as it blew in through an open window. "I am Syrena." She added quietly, her long doll-like eyelashes fluttering involuntarily as she spoke. Her pale blue eyes flickered down to floor nervously, the golden light turning them strange violet shades of purple. Syrena glanced back up at him, a shy smile managing to curve across her pale rosy lips, lighting up her entire innocent face with a sense of genuine friendliness.

"Thank you. And what is your name though, if you don't mind me asking?" Syrena said casually and tucked a loose wisp of silver hair behind her ear to prevent it from falling into her face as it so often seemed to do. She smiled faintly when he kissed her hand. It wasn't that she was emberessed by it, but was more so amused at such a gentlemanly way of conduct. Syrena, being immortal and therefore older than her youthful, flawless appearance; had lived in older times and admired more....vintage and elegant types of manners. She paused nervously at the entryway of the door, not wanting to invite herself in or just go inside by herself without permission. "So....." Syrena began, her soft soprano voice fading away into a gentle whisper. "It seems that we are both new then. Of course, it also seems there's been many other numerous occasions when I've been 'new' to certain places. I'm more of a traverler, I guess you could say. I move from one establishment to the next. Although, this school does seem like a nice enviorment......even if there seems to be a few demons on the campus....." She said, half-shuddering at the word, her eyes quickly averting to the ground to hide the faint amount of fear that had breifly shone within their ocean-like blue depths. Syrena didn't exactly hate demons, being unfamiliar with the word hate to begin with........she was more scared of them, given that they had tried to 'exterminate' her entire species in the past. Changing the subject, Syrena had caught sight of the violin he had tried to hide. "You play violin?" She accidentially asked rather loudly, unable to hide her curiosity.

"my name is satoru but i go by sato" he smiled. "o your the only person i met today so i wouldn't know." he pulled the violin out from behind him "yes i do but i don't think im good." he looked at the door "do you want to come inside i can make us some tea or a can of soda."

"Well, nice to meet you then Sato." She greeted gently, her soft soprano voice rising an octave higher to signal faint happiness rather than being smooth yet quiet. "And don't worry, I'm sure your plenty good at the violin. Don't doubt yourself. It took me several months just to learn how to hold the bow needed to play correctly, and how to balence the violin on my shoulder, and even longer to learn how to play a decent song. Although, in these past years......I've had a lot of time on my hands to learn how to play different instruments, thanks to immortaility." Syrena paused to smooth out a few ruffles on her silky white shirt before continuing. "Although playing the piano and flute are more my style, out of any of the other instruments I've learned to play." She added and stepped inside. "And thank you, a beverage really does sound nice right now." Syrena said calmly, recalling the hot summer tempurature outside. She had never appreciated the heat. Syrena, being someone who was literally born from the energy of the ocean rather than actual parents, had a liking for the cold rather than warmth.

"thats cool, im a shapeshifter but i dont if i have a normal life span or i live long." he said, closed the door and went to the kitchen. he grabbed two sodas and handed one to her. "i play piano and guitar also" he smiled pointing at his piano in the corner and the guitar on his pillow. he brought a chair over to her and he sat of his bed. he took a sip of his soda and smiled "so whats you thoughts about the school so far."

"Well, I would tell you what I am in return.....except I don't know exactly what I am. I'm a very....complicated species, I guess, one that it seems is commonly mistaken for 'angels' with the whole immortal and flawless-appearence thing going on. I was born at the beginning of when the Earth was created from the ocean's energy. Through the years, the 'job' of our species was to guide the humans. Of course, it's not like my name appears in historical records or anything because I did a good job keeping a low profile. We are a very odd species.....the most 'shapeshifting' I do is transform into this ocean-like creature that is pretty much a mermaid." Syrena explained calmly with the small shrug of her shoulders. She took a small sip of her soda, admiring the bubbly-sweet flavor that coursed through her lips, leaving a crisp aftertaste in her mouth. Her eyes flickered back to him, the irises within them shifting from numerous colors of cerulean blues and purple, creating an ocean-like effect. "So.....being a shapeshifter, I take it you can transform into many different animals, correct? I for one find that very interesting, considering I have only one other form besides this." Syrena continued, half-wishing she could turn into something more entertaining like a tiger perhaps, rather than a creature that was half-human and half-fish. She took another sip of her soda, continuing on with the conversation while aimlessly twirling a ringlet of her silver hair around one finger. "This school is odd. That's all I have to say. But odd in a good way....not like any other school I've attended. It seems there are very few humans here, for one thing, and humans have been the only people I've interacted with in the past besides my own kind. I like the fact that this school is open to letting me have pretty much whatever I want in my dorm---even if it's a life-size fishtank that one could swim in." Syrena continued and let out a short laugh--a melodic, soft chiming noise. Although the expression worn across her refined, yet still innocent face faded slightly as she moved on to another point. "Yet there is one thing at this school that I don't particularly like, and that is that.....well, there are a lot of demons and fallen angels and such. And.....demons have caused me a lot of trouble in the past. They kind of.....killed my species, making me the only one left." Syrena added in her musical soprano voice, which was now lowered to a whisper as several memories ran through her head, her memories resembling a black-and-white movie of violence. She averted her gaze away from him, hiding the sudden amount of faint pain and ripples of emotion that stormed through her ocean-like gaze.

"thats cool" he smiled at her saying she was not a angel but a different species. he put his hand on her shoulder and looked at her "dont worry about the demons, cause anyone of them that tries to hurt you, i will fight against to protect you." he felt sorry for her and wish he could do something more and then it came to him. he sat his soda on the desk and turned into his wolf pup form. he jumped onto her lap and looked up at her with his gentle eyes.

"Oh, don't worry, I'm not sure anyone will try to hurt me, considering I keep a low-profile most of the time, but thanks anyways." Syrena responded and offered a sad smile, though she was flattered with the fact that someone whom she had met recently would try to protect her. Her bright blue eyes widenned in mild surprise as he changed into a wolf pup. It didn't particularly shock Syrena, but had surprised her in a nice sense, as she was still intrigued and perhaps delighted in this. Her sad smile changed into a happy one, one that lit up the refined features of her face and cause her to let out a softenned, musical bit of laughter. She lightly patted him on the head, hoping her marble-like hand didn't feel cold as it so often did.

Syrena gently set him down and stood up, moving over to the piano across the room in a few graceful footsteps. She sat down and lightly set her fingertips on the piano keys, not yet playing, but contemplating exactly on what to play, also hoping he wouldn't mind if she used the piano. Syrena's pale eyelids slowly closed in a sense of peace, as her fingertips began moving with ease across the piano keys, creating a softenned stream of notes at a rather slow pace. The notes were low and quiet, giving of an essence of a perhaps even forbidden, mysterious melody. But midway into the tune, Syrena suddenly switched the melody around, her fingers dancing across the keys at a quicker rythym to play somthing happy and crisp.
