Hello string players!
I change my strings once a year. I also get my bow rehaired once a year. I'm just looking for some other opinions. How often do you change your strings?

I only change them if they brake or start to unravel.

Ok. That's good to hear.
I think you get a better sound the newer the strings are, but I can never hear it.

I've had some of my strings for two years, and I think they sound fine. Just click the violin in my siggy.

I don't play a classical string instrument (joined for choir XD) But I do play the guitar in my free time. I change strings whenever it starts to sound off. I don't think the amount of time you've had the strings matters unless you've had em for as long as I've had mine XD
