Well it seems Konami have got tired of the ever changing logo's and have made a "new" logo which shall be the official logo for the TCG.

Yes and if history teaches us anything they probably hired a firm that charged them $10,000 for it.

Maybe the logo change has something to do with 4Kids loosing the licence?

I heard they didnt want to use the zexal logo and most of it was about 4kids, and they are trying to protest. trying to get yugioh back.

They probably changed to a standard logo because it's no longer 5Ds and they don't feel like changing it every time a new series happens.

Just a guess though.
