*Rorret, wandering amongst outlying pack regions, stumbles across Gomorrah land. Skirting the border, he catches sight of a wolf whose appearance is remarkably familiar – nearly identical, in fact, to his packmate Satoru. Intrigued, he hails the wolf and puts on a friendly, nonchalant smile as he asks him casually about the coincidence, and the other wolf confirms, hesitantly, that he is in fact Satoru's brother. Seeing potential, Rorret investigates further.

Rorret:  *sly* I could take you to your brother.....

Xavi: -ears flatten, eyes wary- He's alive...?

Rorret:  Oh, very much so.  And happy, too.

Xavi: -flicks an ear- Well... -frowns- That's good. We...Momma was worried that something had gotten him.

Rorret:  Something had gotten him?  *echoes, with just a hint of irony* Oh, my boy...you're too old to believe in fairytales like that, aren't you?

Xavi: Well he was just pup. Something could've taken off with him...a bear? -getting a bad gut feeling about this strange, pale wolf- How do you know, anyway?

Rorret:  He's a friend of mine.  Saved me once, actually, from something awful.  *smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes* Your resemblance is remarkable.

Xavi: -bristles a little, ducking his head- Probably the family shine -says a bit bitterly; why couldn't he have been born with Agrona's normal pelt-

Rorret:  *laughs* Funny -- he complains about the same thing all the time.  *as did everybody else.  even with the cloak, it was pretty much impossible for Satoru to hide in the shadows with the rest of them*

Xavi: I should be lucky my offspring only carry slight shine. -smiles gently, thinking of his pups, the pups Jay had left behind. Pups that, technically, shouldn't exist...but they do. And he loves them- Only a hint...not a fully-gleaming...eyesore. -chuckles nervously- So...why are you here?

Rorret: *notes the softness in his eye when he mentioned his pups* Well, then surely your mate didn't mind your pelt....? *pause for reaction* As for myself, I merely caught a glimpse of you passing by and was struck by your appearance.  As I say...Satoru is a unique-looking wolf, I hadn't expected to see his doppleganger.

Xavi: -eyes darken slightly- No mate. She...is my best friend, rather. Kind of an...experimental oops. -blushes and turns away- That resulted in kids. But...we both know now. She's left me them, to remind me of her... -offers a small smile- But no, she doesn't mind my shine. It's...my hangup, rather than hers.

Rorret:  *raises a brow slightly* Forgive my bluntness but I'd hate to misunderstand you, friend.  I....get the feeling that perhaps...a woman's company is not your....preference?  *smiles pleasantly, as though this does not at all bother him -- only politely interests him*

Xavi: -laughs- Yeah. Exactly. You wouldn't happen to know of anyone... -quirks a brow at the stranger-

Rorret:  *grins* I just might, at that.  Tell me friend -- I don't suppose you'd have interest in the companionship of wolves who live as brothers?  I could not promise you love, perhaps, but I wouldn't deny the possibility.  *a moment's hesitation* There's always pups needing a gentle touch, as well.

Xavi: -tips his head at the offer, considering; wolves that lived as brothers? and though his heart longed for the companionship of another....- What about my children... Could they come along? -asks nervously; he wouldn't leave them, sure they were adults and could fend for themselves but...they were his... The only thing that truly mattered in his life-

Rorret:  *without missing a beat* Of course! Although I don't know if you mentioned -- if you have a daughter she may find herself....not quite fitting in.  Though we can take care of that.  *wonders if any of them will be fit as members or if they'll end up being consumed* I know of a pack of female warriors, if such a need arose.

Xavi: -chuckles- Two daughters and a son, actually. But I can't see Voirey or Dixie being...warriors of any sort. Rebel maybe. -ponders for a moment, looking thoughtful before slowly shaking his head- Maybe...maybe in a year or two, when they've got families of their own and no longer...need me. -not that he would ever stop needing them...- Maybe I'll seek you out... -small smile- I'm Xavierie by the way.

Rorret:  *dips his head* Of course.  I'll send my regards to your brother, then?

Xavi: -relaxes- Thank you. Tell him I hope he's well. -wags his tail- Thank you...

Rorret:  I shall indeed!  *eyes gleam; notes that he has still not introduced himself to this stranger* Well, Xavierie, it has been a pleasure indeed.  If you change your mind...or your son, perhaps....I'll be around.  *winks in a sly sort of 'we're all friends here' sort of manner*

Xavi: -nods- I'll keep that in mind. You never know what the future holds. -bows his head and pads off, back to Gomorrah-
i could totally not see Xavi being a cannibalistic nightdwelliong pup stealer
    LOL

Rorret:  *makes a mental note to have the fox investigate this territory and report back with his findings.  An interesting resource, indeed....*
