xxxxxRoom 181 ... Room 182 ... Room 183 ...

xxxxxRoom 184!

xxxxxDanny smiled as though she had just won the superscowl cup and accomplished something extremely important. Well it IS important, she reminded herself. It was her prom dress after all! You only got to go to prom a few times. Danny had always been secretly enchanted by her mother's prom pictures. She was so enchanted, so pretty. Her long blonde hair had been so stunning back then. Not that it wasn't stunning now!

xxxxxFor that reason, fashionable women usually intimidated Danny. Normally she would just barge into a room; personal space didn't really connect with her, but something about Lizzy made her more hesitant. Honestly she had just met her over groanspring, and didn't say more than a few words. Needless to say, from her picture she was incredibly fashionable and intimidating. What if she wasn't like her picture though? What if she was one of those internet creepies? Danny thought back to Aislin. She had seemed so nice, but she pulled on Danny's tail ...

xxxxxDanny hoped that this Lizzy ghoul could help her though. She wanted a nice prom dress that made all the ghouls jealous. Needless to say, Danny wasn't exactly the most feminine ghoul on campus. Far from it, easily. Danny wiped away a patch of dirt from her arm. Prom was the one chance she had to dress up without being super weird about it. Then again, maybe people would still think it was weird to see her dressed up...

xxxxxPushing that thought out of her mind, she knocked on the door lightly three times. It wasn't like her to be so self aware. Quietly she said, "He-hello? Anyone there?"
PostPosted: Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:09 pm

"Coming!"

A voice called out from inside the room, followed by the sound of something that sounded like a wardrobe being closed before the door was finally opened. The demoness standing at the doorway had a smile on her face, her pale pink hair pulled to the back in a loose bun, her attire a simple plain white dress. She had been expecting a visit, but she didn't find a need to dress up while in her own room.

Not that she didn't look good anyway.

"Danny?" She tilted her head, recognizing the ghoul from her photo on Groanspring, "Hi! Do excuse the mess," She opened the door a little wider to let her visitor in as she took a side step to reveal her room; it wasn't 'messy', but it wasn't 'neat' either. There were some pieces of paper on her desk, but her bed was made and carpet clean, "But make yourself comfortable!"

xxxxxJack, she was prettier than her profile pictures showed! Danny was even more intimidated by how good she looked in her "casual" attire. Still, part of her grew more hopeful; a pretty girl meant a pretty prom dress.

xxxxxDanny was positively baffled by the girl's "messy" room. If this was messy, Danny's room was an absolute pigsty. Everything was so neat and pretty; like something out of a magazine. Even her bed was made. Danny's bed was never made. Not even thinking, Danny blurted out, "Your room isn't messy at all! It's so pretty!"

xxxxxNot taking even a moment to refuse the invitation, Danny plopped down on the girl's nice bed. She held her tail up against her side, careful that it wouldn't catch anything on fire. That would be an awkward conversation. "So I burned your dorm down, still up for making me a dress?"

xxxxxSpeaking of dresses, Danny suddenly snapped out of her trance and remembered what she came here for. "Oh! Right... so um ... a prom dress ...?" Danny was not fashion savvy. She had no clue where to begin. Was she supposed to give a design or was that Lizzy's job? She was already confusing herself, so she decided to just sit quietly and let Lizzy take over.

"Aw, thank you," She chuckled lightly at the compliment on her room as she grinned at the ghoul, noticing for the first time that she had a tail... A tail with a fire at the end. While fascinating, she had a feeling a lot of her undead friends might not take very well to Danny at all, seeing how they... Don't take very well to fire.

Sitting down beside her, she paused, wondering if special materials needed to be used to prevent her from setting her own clothing on fire due to that flame on her tail. Then again, it might explain why she's currently dressed so... Minimally.

"Oh yes, that's what you're here for, isn't it?" Her face lit up and she nodded, "Before that, do you have a preference? For example, do you prefer long or short dresses? Lace, frills or maybe both? How about color?" She paused, blushing a little as she smiled sheepishly, "Sorry for all the questions, but I want to make sure that you get something you like for prom!"

Danny noticed Lizzy staring at her tail, so she pulled it up and placed it in her lap. Danny was starting to realize that the more she walked around the school, the more self-conscious she was becoming of her tail. Everyone seemed to be wary of it. They've got a pretty good reason though, Danny reminded herself.

Her mood was lifted when Lizzy's eyes shifted from her tail to elsewhere though. More confidently, Danny said "Yup, I'm here for a dress. Preferences ... did she have any of those? Were they an object? Oh the girl was explaining it not. Thank badness. "Well ... uhmmm ..." she taped her chin with her claws, as she thought about what she wanted. "I think it should be short, definitely. Like ... as short as possible?" She blushed when she realized that the girl could take that the wrong way. "O-oh but, only cause normal clothing gets really really really hot... uhm ... fire demon and all." How embarrassing. Then again, lots of the monsters probably had to have their clothing custom made.

Danny stuck a finger out as she listed all the things she wanted. "Uhmmm .... f-frills might be nice?" Danny wasn't exactly a "frills" kind of girl, but she really wanted this prom to be special. She was going to have to let go of all her precautions if she wanted a nice dress. "Other than that I can't really think of anything."

Danny's face lit up and she waved her hands in front of her as she denied the girl's accusation about herself. "No no no, questions are fun! Just uhm ... I'm really bad at this," Danny said miserably. "I ... I kind of don't know what to do for prom. It's sort of ... out of my element." Lizzy must think I'm such a jackdamn wuss, Danny thought.

"Oh, it's fine!" Lizzy giggled, waving a dismissive hand in the air as she smiled, "You can't be good at everything, after all! For example, I'm pretty bad at sports..." She admitted with a soft chuckle; in some cases, 'pretty bad at sports' was an understatement... She is really bad at most sports, although she had been trying to up her stamina ever since she returned from that island field trip.

"So... Short and frilly? I think short will definitely suit you~ You have nice, toned legs!" She smiled before tilting her head, stroking her chin thoughtfully as she tried to think of a dress that might suit the ghoul. After a moment, she stood up and walked to her laptop. Grabbing it off the desk, she inserted the battery back into it before removing the adapter and bringing the laptop over to where Danny was. A quick search on the interweb later, she brought up several different dresses and turned the laptop to face the ghoul.

"Don't worry too much about the color of the dress," She nodded, "Look at the design instead! We could even take your favorite part of each dress and combine them... I'm a fan of the 'simple and clean' look most of the time, although I adore accessories. If you need to borrow any necklaces, bracelets, anklets... Feel free to ask!"

Excitedly, Danny's tail wagged back and forth. "I can help you with sports if you need that! I'm really really really good at sports!" The opportunity to help someone was apparently incredibly exciting for Danny. Her tail wagged back and forth happily on the bed, sending little sparks everywhere. Luckily nothing caught on fire, since the sparks all disappeared before they could touch the ground, but Danny carefully slid her tail back into it's place on her lap before she could cause any more harm.

Danny blushed at the mention of her legs. She glanced down at them. Toned? They were just legs! They had always been like this, hadn't they? Danny wasn't used to being complimented so much; compliments were usually reserved for her older brother. "Th-thank you Lizzy. You have uhm ... really pretty hair," she said pathetically. She really did think Lizzy had pretty hair. Well pretty everything but didn't want to sound like a moping puppy.

Seeing all the different dresses overheated Danny completely. She scrambled to comment on each one, saying little things like "I like that uhm ... sash? Sash is what it's called right?" Lizzy must've thought she was a dunce at this point. Then again, she sort of was. "The frills on this one are really pretty! Pink is not my thing uhmm ... " How was she supposed to pick just one out of all these choices?

Oh Jack. SHOES. Accessories. Her HAIR! Danny hadn't even thought that far. "Ahh ... I don't uhm ... I don't have any of those things. I'm more of a shorts and tennis shoes kind of girl. Who should I get to do my hair too? Oh and gloves! I want gloves!" She was just babbling like a little excited kid now. Suddenly something dawned on her.

"Oh wait ... All of my clothes are charmed from fire ... Do you know anyone here who can do charms? Otherwise I'm afraid I might burn them somehow" Wouldn't that be the worst prom ever.

There were so many things to prepare for prom, how the hell's bells was she supposed to do this?! At least Lizzy was helping. It was nice to know she had some backup.

[SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG. x.x]

"Oh? That's really nice of you!" She beamed, giving the ghoul a nod, "Ever thought of joining the fitness club then? I'm a member... Joined to try to keep myself fit and build up my stamina, even if it's a slow process for me." She chuckled softly before giving a sheepish smile; sports was not her forte, but at least she was trying!

"Thank you!" She giggled; while her hair might not be as pretty as say, Junko's, she does put in the effort to keep it looking good! Pausing momentarily at the suggestions, she nodded, "Ohh, a sash does sound good!" She'll have to keep that in mind, together with all the other specifics; she was going to have fun with this!

"I'll be a little busy on the day of prom or I'll do your hair for you," She smiled, tapping a finger against her chin thoughtfully, "But I have to help out with prom, being part of the committee and all... However, I can get you some simple accessories to match your dress? And gloves too, of course." She chuckled softly, enjoying how excited Danny seemed to be.

"I'm sure we can get someone to do charms!" She nodded.

Danny searched her brain. Fitness club ... fitness club. She had definitely heard of that one before. Oh right! Danny's eyes lit up with recognition and she blurted out, "Oh yeah! That's the one with Ridley and the cute little patchy thing and the dragon who was all-" She stopped mid-sentence. "Ah ... I know it yeah." Talk about awkward.

Trying to change the subject she added, "Uhm anyways. Dresses. And stuff." What else was she supposed to say? She decided to just let Lizzy do a bit of the talking for awhile.

Turns out that wasn't such a great idea either. The more Lizzy talked about prom the more Danny felt overwhelmed about all the planning she was going to have to put in. She had expected to just get a dress and go, but there was so much more to this it seemed.

"Uhm well ... I think I'll be okay on the hair. I can find someone," she said tapping her chin. If all else failed she would just call in a hairstylist using her mother's "emergency" card. As if it was an emrgency card though- Danny knew full well that if she used the card and bought a house, her parents couldn't care less.

Danny once again racked her brain for ideas. "I-is there anything else I need to tell you?" This dress-making thing was already way over her head. Scratch that, it was long past over her head, and already in the next city over. Though she'd never say it, she really wanted to just shove the whole project on Lizzy and just wait for her dress to be done. It was like ordering a pizza. You just asked for it, payed, and they gave it it to you. Actually interacting with the cashier was a lot harder than it looked.

Come to think of it, should she be offering money for this? Danny tapped her fingers on the bed- a nervous habit whilst thinking- and said, "Uhm ... d'you want any money for this?" There was no other way to say it- at least not for Danny. Better to lay it out on the table than to beat around the bush, right?

"Ridley...? Cute little patchy thing...?" She blinked, tilting her head; at 'dragon', however, her face lit up and she nodded with a grin, "OH! Riley, Christof and Jericho? Yes, that would be the fitness club~" She then giggled softly, shaking her head, "No, no! Don't apologize! It's nice to see someone so pumped up and excited about the club! I'm sure the enthusiasm would be appreciated by its members."

She smiled when Danny commented that she would find someone to take care of her hair styling; it sounded to her like Danny was all set... Well, aside from the dress and accessories, but Lizzy had already promised to take care of those!

"Oh, no, it's fine!" She nodded before blinking when the subject went to being paid; while she had frequently made dresses for her friends, not once had she asked for payment nor had anyone offered... Since she would have turned them down anyway. However, this was different; Danny was someone she had never met prior to this, but she was the one who had offered to help the fire demoness with her dress! It would be rude to take money from her, right? Besides...

"I like you, Danny," She nodded her head before grinning, "So it's alright! Consider this a gift from me! I'll send it over to your room when it's done? Oh! What's your dorm number?" She had almost forgotten to ask, in all the excitement!

Wow, Lizzy was way too nice. She seemed to fill the gaps in conversation when Danny didn't know what to say- it was a very becoming trait for a demon. After all, persuasion was half the battle for a demon, right? Danny figured she would probably never be that good. She would go for a more "give me your money" and run tactic.

Shaking her head of these thoughts, Danny said, "Yes! That was their names. I'm not very good with names ..." Danny really preferred to just throw nicknames on everything. It was much easier to remember "G" than it was "Gamyiel Asmund." In fact, unless Danny saw Lizzy quite a few more times, she would probably just be known as "the pretty dress ghoul." Which, honestly, considering some of Danny's nicknames, was not a bad name at all.

Danny blushed when Lizzy said she liked her. It wasn't a full out full body red blush, but the pink had still reached her cheeks. Stumbling past her feelings, she managed to stutter out, "I-I like you too Lizzy." Feeling rather awkward, she decided to change the subject and said, "My room is uhm ... uhm ... My room is ... 62! That's right! 62!" She said it like those were the winning numbers in the lottery.

Well it seemed their meeting was almost over, but Danny had one last question to ask. It was an important one too, however stupid Lizzy may or may not find it. Playing with the edge of her shorts, Danny said, "So ... do we need anything other than a dress?" All Danny remembered her mother telling her was that she had been the queen in a stunning dress. Obviously there had to be more to prom than that though, right? Otherwise why would so many people go?
PostPosted: Mon Aug 08, 2011 2:58 am

"Ah... I see!" That would explain a lot, like why she had remembered their names wrong; it was kind of endearing, actually! Well, not that 'cute patchy thing' was the best description for someone like Christof, in her opinion... To her, the igor was more of a 'creepy patchy thing'. Anything but cute! Then again, to each their own, right?

"Aww, thank you," She smiled, blushing slightly too as she nodded, mentally noting down the number she had been given, "62... Alright!"

At the question, Lizzy tilted her head, "What do you mean?" She didn't understand the question, and decided that getting a clarification from the fire demoness would be a better solution than just attempting to assume things, "As in... What else do you need to wear? Or... What else do you need to get ready for prom...?"

As if to further prove her point, Danny added, "It's like one of the only demon dorms that emits heat- so just look for that?" Come to think of it, Danny hadn't really seen any heated friends. There was Jericho, but he was a dragon, not a demon. He had fireballs, so he was good in Danny's book, but he wasn't quite ... fiery. Maybe in temperament, but not ... being. She had found a demon boil's room, one with the name "Aedan," but he wasn't around at the time (Danny found his name kind of funny- her parents were originally going to name her Aden if she was a boil!).

Other than that though, there really weren't any demons of the fiery sort. Danny was actually proud of this, in her own stupid way. She felt like she was the very best fire demon because no others had managed to get into Amity. Of course, Danny only got in by her parent's money no doubt, but she couldn't help but feel a bit esteemed, even if it was false.

Returning from the planet of Danny back to reality, she answered Lizzy's question with a simple, "I don't know." It was the truth too. She really didn't know what she was looking for. She did at least offer Lizzy a bit more, saying, "I mean I know what goes on at prom." She didnt. "And I know there's ... people." Good job so far Danny. "But I don't know exactly what I ... need."

Danny blew a few bits of hair out of her face and then continued. "I mean, are there things I need to take? I have a dress now," she paused to smile and acknowledge Lizzy then continued, "And I mean ... I guess I'll find uhm ... shoes and hair and uhm ... " What was the other thing Lizzy had mentioned? Oh right, "And jewelry! Yeah I'll find those but uhm ..."

She paused for this next bit. Had Lizzy figured out that she didn't know what prom was. Danny bit her lip and decided just to finish strong. "But is there anything else I need?"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 08, 2011 10:29 am

"I'll keep that in mind!" She nodded before tapping a finger against her chin, looking thoughtful; it sounded like Danny had as much prom experience as she did - which was a big, fat zero. However, Lizzy was excited about it and had done a ton of research regarding what prom is actually all about; being in the prom committee helped too, of course.

"Prom is like a semi-formal party," She was trying to find ways to explain it in a way Danny might be able to relate to, "There is usually some form of dancing involved, and I guess the highlight of the night would be spending some time with friends." A pause followed as she smiled, "Although I think it's also prom tradition to have a date with you? It could be a friend, or someone special... Like an escort for the party!"

Nodding, she grinned, "I suppose it's optional, but perhaps you could find yourself an escort for prom? Oh! And you might want to get tickets to prom at the entrance before entering if you didn't get the tickets at the open house... But I'm pretty sure that is all!""

A date? Dancing? This prom thing was more than meets the eye! Danny had assumed it was just some sort of contest for whoever would become the king and queen- she didn't imagine it was actually more than that! Well, that just meant she had a lot more preparing to do. Great.

Escort? The first person that came to mind was Moure- he had that escort-y chauffeur feeling to him. That's what Lizzy had meant right? Someone special though? "S-someone special?" Danny blushed. She didn't have anyone like that though.

Tickets? There had been a booth at the open house? Honestly Danny had just hung around the fitness club booth and the scario kart booth- she hadn't really visited anywhere else. "Where do we get tickets? I didn't know they had them at the open house!" Her eyes and mouth were both wide with surprise. She was learning so many things in such a short time!

"Wait wait wait. Who's your date?" Danny asked outright. She wanted to make sure she didn't overlap dates after all! (Not that she would. Stupid ghoul).
