Mazai'mrities - -_Wish of the Goddess_-
&
Bansidhe – Das Tor

As usual, Mazai'mrities was perched atop a ledge, a good distance away from their den, watching a few lions 'fighting'. Well, training. Whatever. Mazai was fond of watching it. The dark colored Cub's tail flicked back and forth, her bright green eyes staring as she tried to calculate the percentages. It wasn't easy right now. The cub loved working with tactical advantages, because they made SENSE. Lots of it.

Like Mazai, Bansidhe was watching the training. But for a far different reason. The darkest cub of the litter was more of a rough-and-tumble sort. She just loved the sheer thrill of a fight, the nitty-grittiness of it. Her tail twitched anxiously as she watched the adults, green eyes intent...And then her gaze went to her blue-ish sister. And she grinned.

"Mazai~" That was the only warning she gave before she pounced her sister, trying to gnaw playfully on an ear. "Wrestle with me?"

The second born cried out, and stood up, trying to toss her sister off her back. Green eyes glared up at her strange sister, the one with the odd neon colors, who seemed so intent on playing, "If you let go of my ear, Bansidhe....I will consider it." She really didn't like her ear being gnawed on. Her pale nose twitched in thought as her tail flicked again, "It has to be a fair start."

Ban giggled and let go of her sister's ear, rolling off and grinning at her sister still, mischief in her bright green eyes. "Of course, of course." Even though real fights weren't fair. But her sister would learn that soon enough! Mommy and Uncle Duo and Pestilence would teach her! "So where ya wanna wrestle? I'm good with anywhere!"

Shrugging her shoulders, Mazai padded down the slope, glancing at Ban, "Down here sister." She found a small clearing, with less hard ground, and looked at the other, "This is where we will wrestle."

Ban followed her sister down, humming as she padded along, tail swishing behind her merrily. A good place to practice, she supposed. "Alright. So how do you want to wrestle?" She'd let her sister set the terms this time. Play the 'fair' game.

Mazai turned on pale paws, her blue ears twitching slightly. Eyes darkening, she purred deeply, eagerly, "Hmm....Do we wish to do this like a real fight? I vote we keep our claws from this." But she seemed eager nonetheless.

Ban thought a few seconds, nodding. No claws sounded good for practice, young as they were. "Like a real fight would be good, and no claws is fine with me." She leaned down into a pounce/play position. "How 'bout to make it more fun...the looser has to do something for the winner?"

The juvenile's eyes lit up, and she smirked. She could make Ban do something like fetch something she didn't want to get herself! How fun. Tail flicking, she nodded, and trotted towards her sister, smirking.

Ban smirked herself, gleeful and confident she'd win. Even with a fair start, she'd teach her sister what she'd been learning about fights. And that was that they weren't fair at all. (She'd keep her claws sheathed, though.) "Let's start, than?" She kept wary eyes on her sister, knowing the other could try and over take her if her attention strayed.

Training herself to fight from the tactical advantage, and eager to train to become a perfect soldier, she padded around Ban. "I agree." She was not going to charge. Her sister could use the weight against her. Tail flicking slowly, she trotted close in a feint, to see what would happen....if Ban would call her bluff.

Ban didn't take the bluff, instead shifting back so she could move better, keep her eye on her moving sister better. It was only a couple of seconds after she moved that she sprung forward, seeking to make her sister stumble back.

Indeed she did stumble back, but not a true stumble. More a soft feint of a dodge, before turning on two paws to try to catch Ban on her back with strong paws. The second born was fast, though it was quite balanced with strength.

Ban yelped, caught off guard by the tactic...but instead of just trying to get away, she went to the ground faster, falling on her side so she could roll onto her back. She planned on giving her sister a nice kick in the side or tummy.

As soon as Ban was on her back, though, Mazai leapt aside, rolling into a crouch, her body pressed against the ground, lips pulled into a curved smirk.

Ban grinned, taking it in stride (she worked best on the fly anyways) and just kept rolling until she was on her belly once more. She watched her sister, crouched, waiting to see if the other would make a move.

Crouched gently, she watched Ban, unmoving, until suddenly she dodged left , and then, instead of charging, leapt up into the air, using her hind legs to launch herself at her sisters back.

Ban growled, glad she hadn't charged as she rolled to one side and got back on her paws, moving to pounce on her sister the moment the second-born hit the dirt. This time, she wouldn't wait.

Growling as the other pounced on her, she rolled and struck out as hard as she could with her rear paws. She knew how to play these games.

Ban yelped, but moved to try and get her sister's neck in her mouth. She wasn't going to give up! Even though her tummy kinda hurt now. A lot. But it'd feel better later!

Tucking her neck down, she snarled and kicked again, eyes like ice. She wasn't going to lose. She SWORE she was not going to lose this one.

The black cub yelped again, this her hindquarters going UP a little with the force of the kick, and then went to the side, with the rest of her body. Bansidhe whimpered a bit as she hit the ground. Well crap.

Mazai rolled to her feet, and looked at her sister, trotting over to her, and sniffing gently. She didn't want her hurt badly, ".....Are you alright?"

Bansidhe nodded, laying otherwise still for a moment before rolling onto her belly carefully. "Yeah. Just gonna be sore until we wake up tomorrow. Nothing big." Nothing broken, nothing bleeding...maybe just a big bruise on the skin under her fur.

Licking at her sister's ear, lovingly, she smiled at her, a VERY rare expression for Mazai, "Come on. I'll help you get back to the Den. I didn't mean to kick that hard." She did love her siblings, and very much so.

Ban leaned on her sister once she'd stood up, grinning like their Uncle Duo. "Pfft. It's nothing. We gotta get tougher if we're gonna help Mom and Uncle Duo."

Mazai nodded, "I intend to. I will be the best." Her green eyes were dark with purpose and eager, "I will ensure that our family will always be safe." Licking Ban's ear again, she purred, "You and me can rest for tonight, and train more soon."

Ban nodded, licking her sister's cheek. "We'll be Death's Heralds, making sure the Aristocrats never forget they're as mortal as any Colonist."

Her eyes glittered eagerly, "Always. We will be the daughters of death, and take care of everything as such." Yawning as they got back into the den, Mazai lay down, cuddling close to ban. Mmmn....Sleep....What a welcome thing.

Ban nodded again, settling with her sister. Sleep was a welcome thing, and she knew she could sleep well, with Mazai nearby and her parents and Priest G not far off either. She couldn't wait until they were big enough to help their family.
