Character sheet
Name: Duh (nicknames are allowed, but try to avoid the clichés.) Gender: Duh Appearance: If you’re not using a picture, please give a good amount of detail. Age: 12-60 (if you get the reference for the age bracket, you’re free to break it.) Race: Most will be humans, but cyborgs and/or genetically altered characters are allowed Personality: Yes, you need a personality. Chronically depressed or emo doesn’t count. Backstory: Yup, you need a past too. Skills: What you know how to do. This includes magical talent, etc. (Note for mages: magic in this world is actually just a highly sophisticated knowledge of science, to the point where you have learned how to bend its laws. Therefore, most mages tend to be quite intelligent and studious, though by no means is this an absolute rule.)

KOAC Name: Carolyn Zephyr Gender: Female Appearance: Has medium length, lavender hair, dark purple eyes, and pale skin. Wears a Purple beret, black pants, purple boots, and a purple dress with long sleeves and a golden star on the center of the chest. On her left hand, she has a glove with the sign of Aquarius glowing in a feint green light. In her right hand she is always holding a book of some sort, usually a hardbound textbook on Physics. On her back, she has what looks like a pair of blue, metallic wings. Age: 14 Race: Human Personality: Normally very quiet and withdrawn. Usually either completely focused with whatever book she has with her or she is constantly glancing around herself out of paranoia because of how easily frightened she is. However, whenever she gets frightened by something, she passes out for a few seconds, but when she wakes up, she seems as if she has become a completely different person with a different personality. When this happens, she becomes very hyper and curious in addition to having her intellect and magical prowess severely improved. Backstory: Carolyn’s parents, Kinji and Lute, had grown up on Earth, but had both moved to Altaria at roughly the same time where they ended up meeting and eventually getting married. Carolyn was their only child, so she got a lot of attention and care from them. From a young age, Carolyn showed remarkable learning abilities and was absolutely enthralled with books. Due to her potential, her mother Lute, who was a skilled astrologer and mage, took it upon herself to tutor Carolyn in the ways of air magic. Carolyn learned quickly and became very adept at manipulating air, yet she refused to cast lightning spells, because she was dreadfully frightened of lightning. She eventually tried to cast a lightning spell, but passed out from fright when she actually did it. When she eventually came to, her personality had completely changed and her magical abilities became amazingly powerful. The effect didn’t last and she went back to normal after about an hour. Her father explained to her that this was something similar to an ability he possessed known as “Hysteria mode” where, under certain circumstances, your personality changes and your skills become 30 times more powerful, allowing you to perform super-human feats. When the glitch activated on Altaria, Carolyn’s family was fine, as they were all very skilled at fighting. They joined a small village where they lived peacefully. Carolyn decided that she wanted some way to apply fher abilities, and decided she wanted to join a group of explorers to find the secrets of Altaria. Skills: Capable of air magic. Normally she only uses strong gust of wind to attack, but in hysteria mode, she goes all out, summoning lightning bolts, giant storms, and even effecting air pressure for multiple devastating effects.

BackStory: His mother and father were both respected members of the science community, Although his father loved him very much his mother used him for experiments one eventually making his ears disappear and him growing wolf ones on the top of his head, also a wolf tail was eventually grown. He didn’t care wolves being his favorite animal after all, however on earth they found it inhuman and shipped his family to Altaria to start a new colony there. This gave him resistance to illness and poison, a layer of tough scales, and the ability to heal from wounds quickly. The three of you are currently living in a town called New Wolfington. It is a town on the surface of Altaria. The town is mainly cobbled together from whatever scraps are nearby left over from the destruction wrought by the glitch, commonly refered to by the residents as the Altarian Purge, though many have other nicknames for the event. They are a resourceful bunch, and combine their knowledge and skills to allow each other to survive. The town has nomadic tendancy, moving whenever their location is discovered. A couple of ex military personel, Captain Brenner and Lieutenant Lin established a milita for defence of the town. The militia sevres as the leaders of the town, and as such, has the right to conscript people to service. Their training program is excellent, and have only had to move three times, due to the fact that the various attackers on the town have been coompletely destroyed by the militia. Regardless of your history and reasons for being there, you are residents of New Wolfington; and it has been your time to be called to action. Steve, being of a military background to begin with, is already part of the militia. Carolyn and Lance have been approached by messangers. Carolyn & Lance "As a resident of New Wolfington, you have been called to serve in the militia. It is your duty to serve should the need arrive. Your background and abilities has shown that you will be best utilized in the militia. Pleasse, follow me." The messangers state, in a very formal fashion. They each await your action before leading you away. Steve Lieutenant Lin approaches you. "Sergeant Steve, it's your lucky day. We're transfering a few new recuits to be assigned under you; you're now promoted to being a squad commander. Don't make life too easy for em', we don't have the best military force of the colonies because entrance is easy!" She says. You hear a hint of sarcasm in her voice, though you can tell she was serious about the transfer.

"So you're givin' me some of the new recuits? It'll give me something to do besides sittin' in the guard towers all day at least!" I say slowly, thinking over the prospect of training the noobs.

"Ha! Yeah, I know what you mean, guard duty is a bit of a drag, though its a pretty important job. I'm sure the instructors will come up with an interesting task for them. You'll probably have to go with em' to make sure they come back alive. Learn fast or die trying, right? I have to wonder what kind of people they managed to scrape up this time. Well, I'm expected to be in a meeting soon, so I'll be taking my leave. Good luck, Sgt (shorthand for sergeant, get used to the acronyms) Steve." She said, leaving your room and heading down the hall.

Steve Having traveled this path many, many times before, you don't even need to look to navigate your way to the barracks. Carolyn "Trust me, one mission will probably do you more help that entire book. Don't worry, the soldiers in a unit tend to act like family. You'll be just fine." The messanger says, noticing your book. He doesn't seem to be but maybe a year or two older then you. He started to lead you off, towards the barracks in the militia camp. "So, what's your name?" He asks as he leads you, trying to strike up a conversation.

I smile shyly at the compliment. "I suppose I am pretty good at induction... but I guess it is good to get a conversation going." I say as I close my book and turn around to quickly check my back before speeding up so that I am walking beside the messenger. "I guess I really should be the one asking for your name in this situation..."
