Her paws moved swiftly and elegantly across the ground. The sweet taste of honey still lingered in her mouth. It has been a while since she ate any proper food but she was still doing her best. She enjoyed the cool breeze as it ruffled her hot fur. She has been going for what seemed like endless days but she was close and she knew it.
She was very proud of herself for even coming this far. She was young when she left and she was now at a new stage in her life. It wouldn't be long before she found what she was looking for. She had recently gotten a very good glimpse of her father when she ran into an old fling of his. The only change was a bigger clearer vision which included others. It made her mind wonder if that was his pride or new family.
She started to feel a bit worried on what it would be to meet him. Perhaps she should turn and leave and let his new life be. However she knew her mom was watching her and she didn't want to disappoint her.
As she walked her front paw gave way and she fell. Her paw had slipped in what seemed to be a hole from some animal. she got up and winced as she tried to put pressure on it again.
Limping over she made her way under a tree to rest, she studied her paw carefully. It must have been a sprain or tweak, she sighed and laid it out carefully. Her nose twitched at the searing pain. She would have to rest and let it heal, no use on continuing on now. Her eyes wondered to the sky as the sun made it's way across the sky. It seemed very quiet to her now.

And it was quiet. Quiet enough to attract Miramar for a bit of rest... although, whether or not he actually needed it was a subject of debate. Did gods rest? It was hard to tell if he rested simply because he was a latent neurotic, or because all creatures required it. He found he liked that answer. It made gods seem more humble. And him seem less crazy.
But he'd always enjoyed the quiet. It gave plenty of time for thinking, and back when he had been a younger lion it had been the prime time to go over his herb identifications or symptom matching. His mother had made a game of it, but he'd taken it to heart. Every little thing in its place. Even as he rested, he still found himself going over it. Lungroot for burns, thornheart for...
A pang. By now he knew the feeling, but it still felt as raw as the first time he'd ever sensed it. The lion's ears went up, and he rose from his place amongst the bushes. It was like a call from afar, only there were no words. Not loudly, thankfully. He'd had enough of that for the afternoon. It was close, and he saw no reason to ignore it.
The feeling lead him over to a rather aged tree, and a small shape resting beneath it. White, easily identifiable amongst the shadows. He approached slowly, and as amiably as he could muster. "Hello there!" Miramar said. "Very nice tree you've found here. You don't find too many perfect resting trees."
He stopped before even touching the shadowline. The lion sat, dipping his head down to gave below the fading sunlight. "You alright?"

Bahari looked up at the sounds of approaching paw steps, at first she was just gonna remain still and hope they did not take notice of her and would walk past. It was when a voice spoke that she realized the one walking by had indeed taken notice. Her eyes squinted a bit against the glaring sun before finally adjusting to see who was speaking. Her eyes widened in surprise at the lion who stood in front of her. It was a male with a brown pelt and a thick beautiful dark mane. His blue eyes shone along with his gold and white decorations. "Hello" she said slightly stunned by his appearance but still respectful enough to nod her head. Even though he was a stranger Bahari saw no threat from this male. His tone seemed kind, but she still was careful of anyone who approached her, she was still very vulnerable.
"Indeed a nice tree this is, I guess it has provided a good spot to rest my paw..." she said as she picked it up to show the stranger. She felt nervous showing the stranger she was hurt but her guts, or maybe it was her seer ability, told her otherwise. She was shocked she hadn't yet received a vision or something, she usually had one with every new meeting. She looked back up at the stranger and into his blue eyes, there was something definitely different about this one. She wished she knew what it was but she would feel rude asking. She bit her tongue and decided to wait he seemed friendly enough that they could have a good talk. Besides it has been almost 7 suns since she had come across anyone. She was sure she would enjoy his company. "I think it's sprained from falling into a snake hole" She said as she winced a bit against the pain. she cursed a bit inside at the fact she didn't see it, that curse turned into a soft quiet chuckle. How did she miss that?! it was the size of her head.

Miramar leaned forward, just enough to breach the shadowline of the tree. No need in scaring anyone. Or looking like some kind of creeper. "Oh? Better the den and not the snake," he smiled. Which sounded like it would have made an admirable motto, now that he thought about it. Unfortunate accidents were rather common out in the wilds... lone cubs, however, were not.
His brow arched, and he pulled his head back. "Is someone else with you?" He asked. Almost immediately his face dropped. Ah, that sounded exactly like what he imagined a creeper sounded like. Marvelous. "I, uh. Ask that with the best of intentions, I assure you."
As if to reassure you, he pushed out his paws in front of himself in a feign gesture. "I'm something of a doctor." Did that work? Nope. No probably not. If Faine was here, even he'd be feeling awkward. This was why Amedia turned into a rabbit, wasn't it? That was a slice of brilliance he was going to have to utilize.
As soon as he figured out exactly how one did that.

Bahari chuckled at the male's humor, he was quite the youngster for his age. Then again he had just asked her if she was alone. He had clearly judged she was a bit to young to be alone. she was almost unsure whether to lie or tell him the truth. she had recently met a mother lioness who almost kidnapped her in fear of the cubs safety. He clearly regretted the way he phrased his words but she knew perfectly well the intention he had. She could barely keep a smirk off her face the way he seemed embarrassed. "No I am alone out here" she said with a faint smile. She was awaiting all the questions to come after her answer. She usually got plenty. Yet as he stuck out his paws in front of him and continued to speak she sensed something different about him. She wondered exactly what he meant by doctor.
"Hmm a doctor you say? I don't think there is much I or you can do for my paw besides let it rest and heal" she said as she put it down testing how it was. she gave a small amount of pressure and instantly winced at the pain. she picked it back up again and sighed. She soon realized she didn't even know this strangers name, she went slightly pink. How could she have been so rude, she was raised better then that. Now that she thought about it the situation was kind of creepy. she tried not to laugh at the fact. "By the way the name is Bahari Upepo" She said with a curt nod, hoping to make this situation less creepy. If anyone was watching or walked onto them this could be quite the situation. she chuckled slightly to herself at the thought.

"Alone?" He said skeptically, his brow furrowing. It formed a question that hung in his throat. At least for a moment. Feeling that he wasn't liable to scare the girl, he approached slowly, knocking his head down to view the offending injury. Sprained, but not too badly it seemed. Young feet could be tricky, but they healed fast.
He didn't need to touch her to know that. But out of compulsion, he still moved his paw to hers to examine it. Unnecessary. But he still enjoyed feeling like a doctor. It would take many years to shed the young god of mortality pangs. "Hmmm," he breathed. "Not too bad at all. A little bell root for the inflammation maybe."
Also not necessary. But he didn't exert power when it wasn't needed. One of the many lessons Amedia had left him with. "It happens to grow around here. It loves to dig itself up under trees... although, perhaps not ones so big as this."
He bowed his head down, one of the small flowers tangled in his mane drooping. "Bahari Upepo?" He grinned. "I'm Miramar. It seems we're both named for the sea."
Introductions made, he turned his head towards some brush in the distance. "I'll see about finding that root for you. Some of those smaller trees are probably being choked by it. I'll be back in a moment." He paused. Well. Maybe it wasn't a good idea leaving a kid all alone either. "Or...uh, I could carry you if you'd like? It might be better hiding amongst the shrub."

Bahari was waiting for the overly crazy protectiveness to begin. She felt very relieved when it didn't come. instead the male made hsi way closer to her, she felt no threat to her safety however. She trusted this strange male as he studied her paw. As he spoke about bell root she realized he must have a lot of knowledge about healing. "No I am alone out here" she said with a faint smile. She was awaiting all the questions to come after her answer. She usually got plenty. Yet as he stuck out his paws in front of him and continued to speak she sensed something different about him. She wondered exactly what he meant by doctor.
"I will have to look for some then!" she said as she looked at him more carefully. He was rather handsome for a rogue lion, almost like a one of a kind. "Miramar.." She said as the name flowed out of her mouth so softly. She liked his name and the sound of it. "...Inded my mom loved the sea, it was where she had first met my father" She said as she looked up at him with a kind smile. she hid the sorrow she felt for her mother's death and father's absence. She was hoping for another vision to show her the way, or encounter someone who knew of his where about.
As Miramar spoke again about finding the root to help her paw she realized it could be fun to go with him. So she nodded her head with a happy grin and hopped onto her feet careful not to put to much pressure on her sprained paw.

Mirmar smiled. She seemed capable of walking, so he didn't try to throw her up on his shoulders. A child's pride could be a great and powerful thing! He could certainly remember himself at that age. So much had happened to him since then. "The sea? That's very romantic."
He pushed past some of the underbrush, holding it back with his paw so she could walk past. "I can't really remember why my mother named me for the sea. I can't recall us ever visiting, or her mentioning ever being there." Quite the opposite, in fact! "Maybe it was the irony of it. My family comes from the desert, although I didn't see much past the drylands. I wouldn't be surprised if my mother hadn't even known what the sea was when she named me."
Note to self: check in with mom. The thought of it made him grimace. He could only imagine what trouble she was getting into elsewhere, selling her strange cures and potions. "My mother taught me healing, actually. Although she was more interested in personal gain then actually taking care of anyone." They were crossing into the small shrub trees now. "Shouldn't be too hard to find them. They can be a little thorny though, so watch your feet."
Miramar stooped down, pushing his nose underneath some of the roots. Bell root had a particular scent to it...and it wasn't entirely pleasant. As he looked around, he continued to chatter aimlessly- notably about himself, and not asking questions about her mother. Healing wasn't the only thing you learned as a doctor. Sometimes you had to be a bit more subtle then one would expect.
"Owch," he grumbled, pricking himself on a thorn. Did it hurt because it had actually hurt him, or because he thought it hurt him? Probably for the same reason he still slept. "Well, there's some down here if we can get at them without losing our paws in the process!"
