Azar knew it was almost a miracle to find a moment alone in the pride. She loved all of her cubs that she had all ten of them. They were all so amazing and she was so proud of all of them they were starting to grow and she couldn't believe of how old they already were. But now she had a moment where she knew Khin'del would be coming home very soon and she would have some time with him before their cubs came home. That made her really happy that was for sure. Her snake familiar was also out. She loved everyone being out everyone once in a while. Msotly because she was really looking forward to spending some time with her mate.
She made her way into the den looking around as she did, she couldn't help it a smile was on her face. A smile was on her face and she really enjoyed spending time with him and tonight was a night that she could, even if it was only for a little while. She wandered toward the den and smiled as she saw that no one was infact in there. She moved toward the front of it and flopped down in the front and stretched herself out getting ready for Khin to come into the den. She was wondering if he was on his way home. She was pretty sure that he was on his way home. She was hoping so anyway she was very excited to spend time with him.

Trudging along after a long day of...whatever it was he happened to do around the pride, was none other than the phoenix-marked male himself. Over time he had assumed a 'Gofer' role. Go do this, go do that, help with this, help with that. A...handyman? It certainly wasn't what he'd thought he'd be doing when he first arrived here so long ago, but it was a fulfilling job. It left him tired most days.
A slumped and tired walk home turned in to a more debonair, proud, gait as he noticed Azar at the front of the den. It looked no one else was home yet. In fact he was pretty sure he saw Celosia out doing something or another. Pouncing a scorpion or some imaginary foe maybe...
"Evening~" He greeted.

Azar looked up at the male happy to see that he was home. She was very happy, very happy to see him home. She loved being able to see him home. She wasn't going to lie she loved spending time with him. At first she remembered when she used to be grumpy with him often, however now it seemed as though they were getting along much better. Almost as if the cubs brought them together. But they were quiet the handful most of the time however. So alone times were always very nice to her.
She stretched herself out a little more and then bowed toward her mate. "Greetings to you too." She chuckled some flicking her tail around behind her stretching herself out hoping for some show of affection from him.She would have loved to see it. She then spoke again. "Good to see you home."

Making a point to step over Azar, he let his tail lightly bop her in the face before he plopped down on the other side of her. It was Khin's teasing affection, and perhaps as much as he could muster until he'd rested a little.
"It's good to be home. It has been a long day."
With this, he took to washing his face a little before rolling over on to his back, letting the shady den cool his warm belly.
"You're in a good mood. I take it that means your day was well?"

Azar was happy to even have the tiniest bit of affection for her. she had to admit it did make her pretty happy. It really made her happy. She flicked her tail around some as she looked at him before leaning back and nipping gently at the male's chin. She couldn't help herself. She was glad to see him. "It has been a long day." She purred quietly before stretching her legs then leaning back toward him and then she nodded once again. "My day went pretty well." She chuckled once again. "I spent a good amount of time training with my apprentence today. It was nice. You?"

"Odds and ends work, as usual. Doing anything that needs to be done that no one else will," he said, pawing at her when she nipped his chin, but instead only getting air with his lazy attempts.
It was hard being in so many different places at once, doing this and that. And to think - technically he was a soldier. What was he doing? Fighting the war on other people's mess-ups?

Azar stretched herself out a little more and then chuckled at her mate's attempts to swipe back at her. She took a moment and shook her head with a chuckle before speaking to him. "It happens some times. I found myself doing that for a little while but eventually everything settles in and works." She looked at him again before speaking. "Beside some times what matter's is what's keeping you busy. I'd rather be doing something then nothing." She said simply before letting out a small yawn and rolling onto her back.

Azar rolled her eyes at her mate being technical. She couldn't help it some times she got very annoyed at things her mate said but she liked him either way. She loved him really it was an odd feeling but she did. However his next comment made her chuckle quietly. She shook her head before laughing quietly . "Professional sleeper?" She chuckled some shaking her head. "Maybe you can go to sleep and start dreaming about that career." She chuckled again.

"Dream big or go home, some say~" Khin then stretched out and rolled over on to his side. "Dunno what they say about dreaming big at home." he chuckled.
As far as he was concerned, they already had big - big family, big love, big everything. There was plenty of room to dream.

Azar looked at him and then laughed some aiming to n** at his ear before stretching out and then giggling a little more. "I don't know see any problem with dreaming big while you're at home." She then chuckled a little and then batted at him playfully. "At least then if you're out you dont' have to go much of anywhere to go home."

When Khindel didn't reply the only thing one could assume was that the big oaf was a sleep. And indeed, he was.
Looking back this moment would be something to long for in the future that was to come, where thirst and death would reak their lives and stir the pride to near hysteria and blood lust.
Indeed, this was nice. This was how things should be. Always.
