This is a segment from my novel that I am currently working on. I didn't want to put in the really juicy parts because I have copyright issues :/ that i plan on getting over but just not yet hahaha. This is just a small bit that I plan on letting you read and let you imagination take over smile

Darren pulled her face up to his and kisses her in earnest. A tear fell down his cheek as he felt the cold in her lips. He felt all of the times that he had brushed her off, all of the times that she had given him that small smile, all of the ways she could laugh, and how she would fight for unjust things with a fiery passion that rivaled heresy. But she was amazing.
Darren pulled back and met her icy eyes that were dwindling with an icy film. He felt a sob shake his body, and he pulled her closer to him. He felt a terrible pain when he realized that he would never feel her strong heartbeat again. The sure, and melodic sound of her voice when she talked. He couldn’t help but pull her close and sob against her limp body. His fingers brushed tears on her cheek, and he froze.
He opened his eyes and looked at her face. Tears were flowing down her face, but her eyes were still somewhere distant. “Terra?” he whispered. Her eyes moved, as if searching for something that she couldn’t see.
“Terra!”
As if his voice shattered the wall that separated her from the real world, she gasped. Her body shook, and here eyes suddenly regained focus. Her back arched with a gasp and Darren held her to his chest fighting uselessly at the wave of tears that flowed down his cheeks.
“Terra.” He whispered. Her eyes were closed, but her chest moved and he could feel her heart once more through his finger tips as he held her hand. He could feel the warmth spreading back through her body.
She rustled. “Darren?” Her voice croaked. Darren held her hand tighter and leaned his forehead down on hers.
“I’m here.” he whispered. “I’m here.”
