So the morning had gone by and Lissy hadn't been told off, she hadn't done any pranks and the teacher had actually looked like she was starting to relax. The truth was Lissy wanted something big, an idea that would have the teacher squirming and the class laughing. She wasn't sure what but she knew who she would ask for help!

As they were all let out for recess she ran over to find Peter. He always got bored at recess and so she was sure he would be up for something!

"Peter! I need your help!" Lissy called as she ran over to him and stood right in front of him.

"I need a prank... something really funny but I can't think of anything!" She looked really disappointed in herself and the truth was that well she was annoyed with herself.

"I want something that will make her squirm but us laugh!" They both already knew that Lissy didn't care about getting into trouble.

Why they didn't let kids carry around phones, he had no idea. What if they got mugged or something? They could at least use it as a weapon... Something to throw...

Peter's thoughts were interrupted by a high pitched voice, looking up at Lissy when she stopped in front of him. He was sitting on one of the walls of the playground, kicking the dirt with one of his brightly colored shoes. He frowned thoughtfully when she asked for his help, trying to think of something they could do.

"Are you looking for squirming, in particular?" he asked, having to take a few extra moments to annunciate the words around his missing tooth, so he wouldn't make the 's's sound especially... 's'y... It was kind of lame, losing teeth still when a lot of the other kids already lost their teeth, but he was just a slow tooth developer or something. He'd at least lost all his bottom teeth. It was just the top that were taking forever.

"And then there's the gross factor, or just the icky factor," he explained. "It'll be the different between if we want to use worms or jelly as fake blood."

Lissy smiled, she knew she could rely on Peter for help! His boredom always made him a helpful ally!

"Well as long as we all find it funny and she actually reacts to it then it's all good! Though worms or something could be interesting... but I want it to be funny!" It always had to be funny. Lissy was in a way a performer, she loved to show off and so she wanted to make the kids laugh and the teachers be on the receiving end. There was probably not a teacher anywhere that liked Lissy but that was just how she liked it.

"It needs to be something good, like really good. Oh also there is a boy in the grade below up that I need to think up something mean for. Apparently he bullys this girl called Istas, he is 11 and is really mean. He going to camp so I will get him there but I need to think of something more mean for that one. He put a dead bird in someones lunch box once!" Lissy thought she would add that one in there. It would probably help get him onboard though she wasn't entirely sure whether he was going to be at camp, she just assumed everyone would be!

"We could give her flowers with a worm hidden in between," he offered, leaning back on the wall as he glanced around for something else they could use, if she didn't like that idea. It wasn't like he had anything better to do, so why not?

"Just as long as we don't get in trouble for it," he cautioned, giving her a little frown. "Mom won't let me watch TV if I get in trouble." And she'd take his phone away for even longer than she already had it. He paused for another moment or so, before wiggling off the wall, plopping down on the ground just a few inches lower, standing next to his classmate as he looked around some more.

"It'll have to be something we can find out here..." he said, hoping that would have been obvious. "They always keep this place so clean, though, so we probably wouldn't be able to find any trash... Unless we wait to get back inside and look through the trashcan, but that might be too suspicious." He didn't want to draw attention to them, especially if he would have to talk himself out of getting in trouble. Lissy was notorious for getting in trouble, and as much as he would like to relieve his bordom with helping her, he did have to keep himself on his mom's good side.

It was so difficult being the favorite child sometimes.

"There's chalk... rope... this... mulch stuff," he listed, kicking at the brown stuff under his feet. "Any ideas?"

"It's okay you won't get in trouble... I mean even if another kid did something it would get blamed on me. I will make sure you stay out of it!" She smiled, after all if Peter got in trouble too many times he might not help her anymore and she wanted the help!

"Would have to be more then one worm... she wouldn't see just one. Unless it was a slug! They are all big and gross looking!" See she knew Peter would come up with the good idea! She clapped her hands together and then looked around. They would have to find some flowers and slugs or worms or both.

"Lets go pick some flowers, she likes flowers!" She knew this because one of the other kids had given her some but of course they had been nice and insect free... this bunch of flowers would hopefully have wriggly things inside them!

"Where will we find flowers around here... they need to be bigger then just daisys..."

Peter watched the girl a bit warily before nodding lightly in consent. "Okay..." he said, not wanting to miss his show that afternoon because he was in trouble, especially since it was new.

"Well, I don't want you to get in trouble, either, so we should just be careful," he told her, looking around for what they could use. Part of him wondered if they were getting too old for shenanigans like this, but the other part told him to just go with it.

"There's some flowers planted up near the building," he recalled, wondering if they would still be there. "Just daffodils and lilies I think..." Maybe some others, too... Either way, it should be enough to give to their teacher.

"We should probably look for worms, first, though... Or slugs..." he told her, turning back to the wall and picking up a stick on the ground so he could poke at the dirt around the bricks to see if any were hiding there.

Lissy would never get too old to pull pranks on people they would just get increasingly worse as she got older. It was just Lissy she needed to do something and pranks was that thing. It got her attention and she found it amusing. It was a win win situation!

She listened to Peter and then nodded finding a stick of her own and starting to poke in the mud at various points. It hadn't rained too much recently and so the ground was pretty firm.

"Oooo I have an idea!" She smiled and ran off though she wasn't gone for long. She came back with a bottle of water and poured it over the ground. She was hoping it would either make the ground easier to poke or they would come to the surface. Either way she started poking again.

"Come on little wormies... come on..." She cooed hoping in some odd way that the worms would just suddenly appear for them.

Peter surprised himself as he held back the urge to remind Lissy that worms didn't have ears, much less the brain capacity to understand that she was calling for them. Usually he didn't bother holding back with comments like that, but he did... It probably helped that he considered her a friend.

He poked at the ground a little more, shuffling away from where she was looking so he could look at a couple ants struggling with a piece of food someone must have dropped.

"If we can't find worms, there's always ants," he said with a small shrug. "We can have them crawling all over the flowers when we hand them to her," he suggested, before going back to poking at the ground.

"So... Did she give you a bad grade or are you just doing this for fun?" he asked, wondering if there was a specific reason Lissy would want to make their teacher squirm. If it was just for laughs, that was fine. He was just curious.

Lissy continued to poke though granted she wasn't finding any worms either. Ants could be an option though she hadn't really thought about it much.

"Ants could work!" Yes it suddenly hit her that actually it would be a pretty good idea.

"Ants might work better then worms to be honest! Smaller and more subtle..." Yes she was liking the idea more by the minute especially as actually she was liking how their stupid teacher would react in her head.

"Oh no she just ignored me earlier." In fact her teacher was starting to ignore her whether she was being good or not so really she had no choice but to do things a little stupid! So flowers covered in ants worked!

If he wasn't so bored out of his mind, he might have second guessed what he was doing, but at least with this he was actually able to do something instead of sit around.

"Ah," Peter said, nodding lightly to let Lissy know that he understood. He definitely didn't like being ignored, so he could understand the frustration. "Come on, then," he said, standing up and brushing off his pants in case any dirt had managed to get on it. "Let's get the flowers. I saw some ant hills near the sidewalk."

He started heading over that way, although he paused to wait to make sure that his friend was following him, thinking as he did so.

"You know what might be funny...?" he said slowly, not knowing what Lissy really wanted to do or not. "I bet if you gave her normal flowers... you know, without any bugs in them... she would be so confused 'cause I'm sure she expects something like ants or worms from you." At least that's what he'd expect, but who knew. There were other ways of getting attention than doing something to punish someone.

Lissy looked at him as if he were crazy.

"I tried that once, it didn't work... she thought I was 'turning a new leaf' and praised me for it. Was rubbish." As if being good would work? Lissy wasn't good because it never got you anywhere, she rather enjoyed being the naughty one in the class anyway, it made school more interesting.

She found some flowers that looked really pretty and then turned to Peter.

"So where was the ant hill?" After all this was all very important! She wanted to prove to that good for nothing teacher that she wouldn't get away with ignoring her. If Lissy wanted attention she got it and it was as simple as that.

Oops! Got the 'you're crazy' look! Peter quickly held up his hands in defense, not wanting her to get mad at him or anything like that. "Just a suggestion!" he quickly explained, before blinking as he listened to her reasoning.

Well, that sucked. What was the point of faking it if they didn't realize you were faking it?

"Just up here," he told her, pointing towards the sidewalk. "We'll probably find some near the picnic tables, too," he told her, squatting on the ground again to look for some ant hills. "If you give me a flower, you can get some from here, and I can find another hill?" he offered, still keeping to his word with helping her in her quest to creep their teacher out.

"Too bad there aren't any ponds around here... I'm sure a frog in her desk would be hilarious. You know, put it in some water so it doesn't die and put it in her desk and when she opens it, it jumps out." Just saying.

Lissy smiled as Peter seemed to realise what she meant and handed a flower over when he asked.

"Okay sounds like a plan!" She was about to head off when he mentioned the frog and the smile on her face widened big time.

"There is a large pond lake thing in the park isn't there? I could get one after school!" Or before but after would be easier. She smirked and then laughed as she imagined the teachers reaction to that.

"Oh you are brilliant Peter!" She chuckled again and headed quickly to where the ants were and let them climb all over the flowers before she headed off to find where Peter had got to.

Peter leaned down to set the flower next to the ant hill, watching as the little bugs changed paths and walked around it instead of climbing up onto it. Ugh... dumb little ants...

He blinked when Lissy spoke, looking up at her huge smile. Was his idea really that good? He was just saying random things to get ideas going. "Uh yeah, no problem," he said, not quite sure how to respond to the compliment. "Be careful about touching it with your bare hands though!" he called over to her as she went to where the other ant hill was. "The oils might end up hurting it." He didn't want the frog to die! Just surprise the heck out of their teacher.

Ants and frogs... she was in for one hell of a week.

He picked up the flower after a couple minutes once there were a handful of little ants now crawling all over it, and got up to go and see how Lissy was doing with her batch of flowers and ants. "It's almost time to go in... everyone's already lining up," he said, nodding to the groups of students being rounded up to go back inside.

Lissy smiled as she watched the ants on the flowers. They were all over her hands as well but she knew the teacher would tell her to wash her hands anyway.

"Come on then quick!" She ran over to the line, grabbing the other flowers off of Peter because obviously he didn't want to get into trouble and she didn't blame him for that in the slightest.

As the lined up and went in Lissy couldn't help but smile but it was in the classroom that she went up to the teacher.

"I found you these outside..." She gave the flowers to the teacher in that innocent way and just like she had told Peter the teacher believed her to be sincere. Lissy had managed to wash her hands and sit down before the teacher realised something was crawling up her arm and that there was something on her face from where she had sniffed at the flowers. The class were trying to hide their giggles but how could one do that when there were ants crawling all over their teacher? She was basically dancing and they found it hilarious!

Lissy just sat in her seat, kicked back, putting her feet on her desk and just sat looking a little too smug though of course she winked at Peter, it was as much his victory as hers.
