Region: Kanto (Celdaon City)

No matter how many times that he visited the city he always peered around with wide-eyed wonderment at the buildings and lights, at the diversity of everything that lived there. He paid no heed to the odd looks shot his way, too fixated on the shiny baubles in shop windows and the bright colors reflecting off windows and signs. Many would most likely say that do to this naive and innocent curiosity the city was no place for someone like Henry. It was most certainly a good thing that he wasn't human nor the boy that his stature and general air of naivety lead others to believe he was.

Humming to himself Henry paused in front of a toy store, his hands lifting to press against the glass as he leaned forward. His lips parted and curved a little in a delighted smile as he watched a small toy train go around the track. While his previous owner had had toys it had never been anything quite like this. Usually anything that was electric he had a tendency to suck the power out of, thus all of the boy's toys hadn't required power.

After a few moments he pushed away from the window and continued to walk, the antennae on his head, blending conveniently with the texture and color of his actual hair, wiggling too and fro in excitement. Simply being in Celadon city made him wonder why he was never allowed to go with his previous family when they traveled. Had he been a bad Pokemon? Were they too afraid that he would get lost, despite his age and maturity level?

Heaving a sigh he rounded a corner only to pause and tilt his head a little, listening intently. There was a certain... Rhythmic sound that was rather pleasant in a way coming from nearby. Curious, Henry strode quickly, weaving through all the much taller humans around him, grinning as it grew louder. Moving around yet another bend in the path he suddenly stopped and brightened, lips parting and eyes widening in delighted awe.

It looked like this person was like him. He had long ears and a big bushy tail, something that he knew humans definitely didn't have. However what really caught his attention was that the way the other man was moving. His arms shifted in fluid motions, his body swaying to the rhythm, defying gravity in breathtaking moves... Henry had never seen anything like it. Along with the other admirers he watched for a few moments, noticing that they put money in a can nearby; did he have to pay to watch.

Perplexed he waited until the other man finished, patting his pockets and looking a little sheepish. "Oh... I'm so sorry... I don't really have any money... But I have some extra food..." he mused, looking rather embarrassed, not noticing that not everyone had donated money. "What you were doing... It was so amazing..."

Hitsuzen's day was not going that well. Maybe it was because it was a Monday and everyone going to work was cranky -- maybe it was because he'd just picked a bad day. One way or another, the pickings had been slim so far, and he was probably going to dip into his reserve fund to make ends meet.

In some ways, that was a blessing; when he wasn't making much, there wasn't any internal pressure to keep making more, and he could focus on the dancing he loved so much. He took a quick, almost bouncing step, and matched his heartbeat to the rhythm.

It had definitely been hard going at first, learning to bboy with his tail getting in the way and his ears making headspins difficult, but he'd adapted the moves for his own -- odd -- physiology, and if anything, the humans seemed to like it more.

Once he'd finished one song, most of the onlookers left without paying, and he stifled a slight sigh as he dug in his backpack for a water bottle. The sudden remark made him twist so he could look up at the person talking to him, and he paused. By all appearances, the blond was a kid -- but his voice was too deep.

He blinked as he straightened up with a water bottle in hand, and looked from the kid to the can. "It's fine. Not everyone is generous." With a quick move, he twisted the cap off, and took a drink, collecting himself and considering Henry's wide-eyed demeanor. "Mm. Thanks. Have you seen bboying before?"

Henry frowned a little at the other man's casual remark about others not being generous. This... Pokemon seemed to be working hard if the sweat and labored breathing were any indication and didn't work mean that they needed to get paid. Slowly he tilted his head, watching as he took a drink of his waterbottle, Henry's ears drooping a little; it wasn't very fair for him not to pay.

"But you're working so hard." he retorted, frowning a little before blinking at the question. "BBoying? What's that?"

Though it may have seemed like it, Henry was not stupid. He picked up on things rather quickly and tended to retain any knowledge that he acquired for quite some time, even if it wasn't used all the time. In fact, at times, he was a fountain of useless or trivial information that he had gathered both in his time as a Pokemon and during his time as he was now. He had to admit that now that he was larger and could talk the acquisition of said knowledge was a little easier, however.

Fishing inside his jacket he pulled out one of the dumplings he had purchased earlier that day. He had intended for it to be his dinner, but he definitely couldn't go without paying this Pokemon. He held out the small, wrapped item, eyes wide and a warm smile curving his lips.

"Here, you can have this. Will you tell me about... BBoying? If you're too busy it's okay... But... I really like learning things."

Hitsuzen wiped his forehead, and took another sip, pacing himself. "That's how the beat goes," he answered, twisting the cap back on the bottle and setting it next to him on the ground.

"BBoying -- the dancing." Had he even seen a city before? Henry seemed too naive to have been here long.

He glanced at the dumpling, looking a little surprised, but he was hungry, and the crowd didn't seem likely to improve any time soon, so he took it. "Uh -- sure. I may be done for the day anyhow."

The kid -- he couldn't stop thinking that -- was disarmingly curious. "Good enough for a lesson fee, I suppose," he added, examining the dumpling curiously. "What do you want to know?"

"Ooooh." Henry breathed, eyes widening a little as he continued to hold out of the dumpling.

Considering that the only time before he became... Human that he was outside of a house was when he was being trained or being transported he considered himself rather educated. However this 'BBoying' was most likely something usually practiced in the city, perhaps? Slowly he tilted his head in thought before suddenly beaming as the other man took the dumpling; he looked hungry anyways.

"A-a lesson?" Henry gasped, eyes wide and excited at the prospect. "You don't have to... But... I... Whatever you want to show me!"

He bit his lip, looking a little sheepish at the outburst, but seemed barely able to contain his excitement. Noticing that he was on the other man's mat he took a step back, folding his hands behind his back. After all, it wasn't every day that he actually managed to make a friend.

"Wh-what's your name? My name's Henry."

The Eevee gave Henry a half incredulous look. He acted younger than he seemed; maybe he'd just not gotten out much. He unwrapped the dumpling, considering, and bit into it. "Well...I don't know about showing. It's a bit late today. I can tell you a couple things, though." The crowds were moving on and the sky was starting to darken a little.

"My name? It's Hitsuzen." Henry. Normally he had a hard time with names, especially human names, but Henry -- in his bright yellow jacket, with a shock of blond hair and perpetually-wide blue eyes -- stood out enough that he thought he might remember. He seemed naive enough that Hitsuzen supposed telling him a thing or two about dancing wouldn't hurt.

"Back when I wasn't -- human-sized -- I always liked listening to music. It's one of the better things humans've come up with, so whenever I was in the city, I'd follow the music. Something about it made me want to dance -- like a rhythm in my bones."

"Oh... alright." Henry looked a bit disappointed before immediately brightening when the other man offered his name. "It's nice to meet you, Hitsuzen."

When the other man began to tell his story about how he learned to dance the Joltik listened, his eyes going a little. Since it was his first time to the city he hadn't really heard music like Hitsuzen's before that night and he'd been drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Slowly he smiled at the mention of how naturally dancing had seemed to come to the Eevee, almost in awe, really.

"I-I've never danced before..." he murmured, biting his lip and glancing aside before looking back to the other Gijinka. "Is it hard? You look like you've had a lot of practice..."

"Pleasure to meet you too." Hitsuzen almost felt a little bad for Henry; with his wide-eyed appearance and naivete, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before he got burned or cheated by someone dishonest.

He crossed one leg over the other, shrugging slightly. "It's hard, yeah, but it's like any other skill. Practice for long enough, and you get good at it." Well, that or injured, but he didn't want to burst Henry's bubble just yet.

"I've had a couple months of practice, but I do it every day as much as I can, since it's the way I make money." He cocked his head at Henry's apparent shyness. "If you can walk, you can dance. Trust me on that. It's just a matter of learning and practicing, and -- well, letting go. You can't be afraid to fall."

Henry's smile was blindingly bright when he reacted to the Eevee's words, his bright blue eyes practically glowing with innocent excitement. This was the first time that he'd ever been so easily accepted by a stranger instead of being given strange looks and quickly ushered away. It wasn't that he really blamed them, he didn't really look normal after all, but it was a pleasant change after being so long on the road.

"Ohh... At least you have a way of making money." he mused, mentally adding that this man was a a lot different than him.

For instance here the dancer was, making a living for himself, not begging for money or food from anyone unlike Henry. He was very obviously talented and world wise, unlike the Joltik who regarded everything with wide-eyed wonder. Perhaps he should strive to be more like this Pokemon! Surely his family would want him back if he was talented and successful, right?

"Ohh... Like... Getting hurt?" Henry bit his lip; that didn't seem very pleasant. "You must be brave, then."
