it was some radio thign. but now... people died. so umm... ere's what I've been typing in all journals, blogs, etc. A kid at our school took a gunshot to the head one fateful Saturday night. There were two kids in this drive-by incident, a 16-yr old, and an 18 yr old. I'm not quite sure if Fattie was the 16 or 18 year old (proves how much I knew him. XP), but either way, he was put in critical condition. I'm not sure of his real name, but everyone at school called him Fattie, and I would say hi from time to time, just as the friendly thing, you know? Well, at Ninth and Hansen, he took a bullet while apparently sitting in a car with another male. Today, at 12:30 PM, they took him off life support, and so is dead now. One gunshot to the head, at approx 11:40 PM, on an intersection that I live by, and wait for the city bus to come by so I can get to school. It is truly saddening, and I knew little about this. When I got to school this morning, people were talking about some kid being shot or in the hospital or something, but I paid no attnetion to it. What's weird is that I thought that they were joking around, or talking about some kid in another school, not from our own. I didn't even bother to arouse my interest in it, and ignored it as I went on with my day. Later on, as I ended up noticing that there were but a few people in the Lunch area (and we all have lunch during the same time periods since we're such a small school), so I figured it was time to go in. aside from that, people were going in from the outside already. normally it's usually pretty loud, like any given high school, but since there was about half the school coming in, it soon got my attention that there was a problem with all of this. As soon as I opened to door to the main school area, it was all quiet, and I felt a wave of sorrow come crashing down upon me. I looked around, for I didn't recogni/e the emotion at the time, as to why it was like that. I saw a big group, with admin around, and thought to myself that a fight had happened here, once I saw a girl crying. But I continued to look around, seeing three more groups of girls crying, and even more amount of people crying. It was then that I had reali/ed what had happened, even though I had a lack of knowledge of the subject. The hospital had pulled the plug on Fattie, and so just about everyone was crying. I did not cry, mainly because I knew him a little, had to be one of the rocks for the entire school, and because I just don't cry. I set my stuff down in my Algebra II class, which I had next, and was located near the main hallway, and started praying to God, praying that He would comfort these poor souls, as they would mourn for their dear friend. The school is maybe, at the most, 500 students, so you can understand that we all are pretty close with one another. yet I find it weird that my English teacher would have us read a story about somebody who got killed, and the last person to see him was some woman who only had his first name. it was called "Geraldo No Last Name" or something along those lines, so you guys can go read it if you want. Just peculiar... Well, I'ma gonna go change my welcome post, post this in other sites I have an account at, and change siglines at those other sites. ~.~.~.~R.I.P FATTIE!!!~.~.~.~.~
