Eytucan called a celebration to order for the night. There was much to celebrate with songs and gifts and food. The precious union of two of their members; Kaym'itan and Rukopa-eupe. A very happy union! The lives of the Navi were changing happily!
A feast was prepared. Tender meat. Juicy fruits. Insects and sweet water flavored with nectar and honey. There was song and dance already, the songs of the pride and of the artists ringing high! The growing cubs that he and Zelt brought into the world were almost adults now; soon another celebration would commence and Eytucan's time as king would end.
He sat beside his mate and supped his sweet water, savoring the flower petals that floated from above them; no doubt someone was playing with the blooms up there. He felt them falling on his head and on his back. He gazed up to see Jubes above; leaning down over the branch.
"They are together! They are one!"
-Note: She is an adult now.
Indeed someone was above the crowd, spreading the flower petals around the crowd below with laughter and singing! Now that she was a full blown Priestess; she singing was high and beautiful, like the sound of Eywa's blessing. She leaned over a sturdy branch, flowers in her hair and around her, as she shook the flowers of their petals.
"Love is their sanctuary! Love is their home!" She sang, her blue eyes shining; as she swung her paws and clapped them together; leaning down to strategically scatter petals towards some of her friends and 'family'.
"They are together! They are whole!" She called out; laughing as others piped up and began singing versus as well. She stood up and reached above her into the tree's; pulling down more flowers and putting them on the branch; leaving a trail; so Silron could spread them too.

Silron was behind Jubes; tossing down petals as well. He was a bit more quiet with his singing and celebrations. He wasn't old enough to ask a mate yet and he really didn't have a girl he had his sights on yet; he was too busy training! A warrior must be strong and fit and smart on his toes; he wasn't willing to let himself be distracted! He had a pride to protect! He glanced down at his father and mother and beamed. He loved them so.
He grabbed another flower and began to beat it against the branch; a huge smile on his striped face. "Love!" He sang loudly. "Love love love!" He sang some more! His talent for song was not great in any way but he tried his best.

Pietr observed everything quietly. He had been very quiet lately. His intended mate was getting close to adulthood and he was preparing to be with her. He wasn't sure how he felt; how he'd feel loving her. He gazed at her occasionally, his eyes soft and concerned. He didn't want to fail her or seem weak in her eyes. He didn't want to seem foolish either... or scared. So he stayed quiet. He kept to Eytucan's side; not really eating his food; but rather picking at it. He usually loved to eat the fruits...
He wrinkled his nose and cracked a smile as petals began to rain down upon the celebration. He lifted his head and spotted his future brother and the priestess Jubes; who was still as playful and childish as ever. He laughed, wiping the petals from his head and food. "Petals... " He said simply, not really raising his voice into song yet.

Kaym'itan shifted nervously, the shaggy male feeling out of place. He was the one who always stayed in the background, content to watch the joy of the Pride play out in silent admiration. Now he was in the center of it, and he was regretting not drinking that sweet water Toruk had offered him earlier.
The Night Scout had been groomed within an inch of his life by his adopted sister Clerm, and for once he didn't look half wild, but rather like the handsome, strong warrior he was...except for the occasional look of terror that crossed his face every time a flower petal fell on him. It was only the solid, steady, presence of his cub hood friend beside him that kept him on his paws, and standing in front of his leaders, priests, and priestesses. Thank Eywa Toruk kept up steady pressure on his flank, or Kaym'itan might have fled into the night and asked forgiveness of his beautiful atokirina later.
Swallowing, and looking rather nervous, the large male watched as another flower petal fell into his mane. Eywa save him...where was Ru?

Clermelli-Pie knew that Kaym thought of her as a sister, but she was still surprised when he asked her to help him prepare for this Bonding to his beloved. She still about half considered herself an outsider, yet, Kaym'itan would trust her to help him prepare himself for the most important day of his life. She had been honored that he wished her to be there as if she was of his own blood family, but she was also a bit scared really. Perhaps a lot scared, come to think of it.
All of the lions whom had taught her so much of what she knew of the pride, and helped her make her place here, were settling down with mates before thinking about cubs. It made her all the more aware that her own cubs were nearly grown and she did not have anyone yet. Clerm could keep these thoughts at bay as she groomed Kaym and polished the beats on his jewelry. She even went so far as to take a paw and partially fluff his red feather so it would look like new. When they were finally done preparing Kaym, Clerm had to say she was proud of her work.
Her "brother" was not usually so well kept, but today he looked the handsome male he really was. She thought she would just be handing him over to his best friend and be allowed to melt into the shadows as best her blue fur would allow, but no, somehow, she had gotten placed close at paw to Kaym for the ceremony. She was beginning to think he had put her in a place his own blood family would normally have been, and in front of the whole pride no less! As nervous as she was to be in front of everyone like this, she was certain Kaym had to feel much worse.
She put a paw out and placed it on his shoulder, trying not to be noticed by everyone as she did so. Clerm's usual playful tone was replaced with one of warm comfort. "Be at ease, Brother. They are not watching you, they are offering their support, just as Toruk is and I am." She was pretty sure being seen was more of his nerves than the idea of the ceremony itself. "Ru is likely just as nervous, and wants to look perfect for you. She will be along soon." The lioness really just hoped her words gave the male some comfort.

Peya Tse'a moved through the crowds of lions, cheering and singing with them, talking to the ones he knew, and listening. He didn't know either member of the couple particularly well, but he was glad for the celebration. Celebrations like this cheered the pride, brought up goodwill. Every lion cheered by the marriage, thinking of their own marriage in the past or in the future, every smile passed around spread contentment. Contentment was good for the pride.
One day he would find a mate, and raise a son the way he had been raised; the suspicious one of the pride. But today he was the suspicious one. He would celebrate, and listen.

As the king spoke, Saagar’Tarang was watching the great warrior figure of his father with something akin to pride before he turned to look at his brother with an amused expression, tilting his head as he saw him throw a few petals around as he sang. The adolescent snorted quietly in good spirits. It was a happy occasion, a joyful celebration. And even if Sata didn't feel particularly interestied by the idea of finding a mate - his eyes constantly drifting towards the dense jungle around them where the things that did interest him dwelled - and even if he didn’t join in on the singing, today he didn’t feel quite as compelled to run off on his own. The young lion found – not without a great deal of surprise – that he was rather interested in the lions around him, their emotions, their reactions, what they said as opposed to what they appeared to be feeling.
Kaym'itan, for instance, one half of the pair that stood at the center of attention, didn’t seem to be feeling particularly comfortable on his spot and Sata couldn’t help but to feel amused again. He was happy, a little giddy even, losing himself a little in the occasion. He stood a little away from the rest, eyeing the couple and the ones that surrounded them with a small grin.

Toruk smiled as his oldest friend shifted nervously on his paws, prompting the warrior to press his shoulder against his brothers in a reassuring movement. He understood just how unnerving this entire thing was for the dark lion beside him, having been with Kaym since they were both tiny cubs rolling about under their mother's paws, no one knew them as well as they knew each other.
Flicking an ear as one of the many petals landed on him, he turned and caught Kaym'itan's eye, giving his best friend an encouraging wink. "She will be here soon, brother." He murmured softly with a proud smile.
He had been impressed with how well Clerm had transformed his brother, for Kaym had never looked as neat and tidy as he did now. Of course, Toruk also thought he didn't look like the Kaym'itan he knew, but then he didn't truly understand the reason behind all the petals and flowers and other things his brother had been adorned with.
Still, the scout looked as regal and as impressive as the king himself to Toruk, and his chest filled with pride in his friend and brother, and joy for the soon-to-be new couple. Turning to look out over the crowd, he hoped for Kaym's sake that Ru appeared soon, before her betrothed gave himself a panic attack.

Kerusey stood near his brother's family, eyes cool but a light pleasant smile on his face - He was good at pretending after all. It was not that he disliked ceremonies like this - he had gone through his own before when he took the Head Priestess Satomi as his mate, and he had stood where the Scout Kaym'itan was not - though less nervous than he was. Kerusey had not mated for love, or for want of a mate, but as a way of deceiving his brother to think he had settled - that he had calmed. Satomi was merely a pawn, and had been chosen for her beauty and her kindness. Nothing more.
A flower petal fell upon his nose, and he glanced up at his nephew helping to scatter the flowers, a faint frown appearing between his brows, before he straightened his face and glanced back to the growing crowd.
The pride enjoyed these festivities, but how could Kerusey relax when the pride was dying more and more each day under his brother's rule? It was evident if you simply looked to Pietr, a source of true destruction if Kerusey had ever seen one. Outsider blood, and in such a high rank too. Kerusey's claws dug into the earth beneath him, before he made a conscious effort to relax.
He could do nothing now, he knew. Not amongst the crowd, so he calmed himself and kept that pleasant smile upon his face - watching for weaknesses amongst the 'royal' family.

Zelt'sin could have been confused with the bride because of how cheerful she was. Zelt'sin was normally a very friendly lioness and was normally bright and cheerful. However during celebrations, especially marriages she couldn't help herself. She was settled next to the king and if she was younger and she could bounce around with the other lionesses she could. Her daughter's reign was coming up and in a way she couldn't wait because then she would be able to join them down there once more. She knew that her daughter had some time before moving on to the next rank even with adulthood approaching she still had things to learn. However there was one thing that worried her about her daughter. In fact at the moment she wasn't even too sure where he daughter was. Ney'ite was what Zelt's mother used to call cold paws. Ney'ite was grumpy and irritable most of the time, Zelt knew she was just unsure of being a queen.
But she was trying to distract herself from those thoughts. She kneaded her paws in front of her before leaning down and lapping up some of the sweet water she had before her before leaning into Eytu, a contempt purr escaped her throat before she looked at him with a grin. "Remember out day?" She chuckled quietly as she leaned back and waved her paw Pietr and then she looked down at Jubes and her son. "Love!" she called back and then chuckled more leaning against Eytu once again still purring quietly before flicking her tail around and humming as she did.Ney'ite was mostly full of angst, most of the time in most cases and some day were worse then others. At the moment it was one of those worse days. One of the days where she thought it just might be a better idea to stay home and study more for her job. But she was being forced to go to the celebration She didn't want to but she had to and thats where she got frustrated. She had to go and face Pietr. She remembered when she used to play with the male when she was younger. She was still a little angst-y back then but not as bad but when she learned that marrying him was part of her growing up she didn't know what she wanted to do with herself, facing him was just as terrifying as the rest of what she had to do.
But if you asked her she would deny being terrified of her job.
She pushed her way through the bushes moving carefully and quietly so she wasn't noticed she was looking around, she knew she was late and she didn't really care in a way but yet she didn't want to be noticed being late. She knew that her mother or father would be disappointed in her. She grumbled as she shoved through the last bush and ended up near her uncle. She always thought Kerusey was interesting, this was mostly because of how similar she looked to him. He also seemed grumpy but not only that he also seemed like he understood where she was coming from some times. And she knew if she talked to him before anything else it would make it seem like she possibly wasn't late.
She popped out of the bush next to him and moved forward looking around she spotted her parents, and Pietr. She wasn't sure if he saw her but if he wanted to come talk to her, he had legs! She turned toward her uncle before nodding her head in a greeting. "I see you." She said.

Kerusey showed no indication of being surprised when one of his nieces popped out of a bush near him to greet him. He certainly hadn't been expecting her to be there, but he didn't show that. Instead, he moved his gaze from the male waiting to be wed to glance at Ney'ite.
His favourite.
Not because of her behaviour - he'd never really spent much time around any of his nieces or nephews, since they were little more than burdens to his vision of the pride - but because she looked quite similar to him, which Kerusey thought was a large advantage to her.
"I see you," he responded smoothly, nodding his head. He huffed when another petal fell into his mane, and more people chanted 'love'. Bah, useless.
"I trust you are fairing well, Niece?" He asked, as if he cared. He didn't, but he was good at training his voice to seem like he did. Plus, he was curious. Was she like him in more ways than appearance? He hoped so. Perhaps he would find an ally in his niece.

Today would have been like any other day, apart the fact that there was a celebration going on. Not just any celebration, one for her! Her and Kaym’itan to be more exact. Her heart gave little flutters as soon as she rolled out of her hammock this morning, and ever since they were intensifying as the day prolonged. She only hoped that she wouldn’t do something stupid like pass out from nerves or anything like that.
Rukopa-eupe’s ears flickered at the sounds of the celebration starting up. It was now or never! The necklace Kaym had given her, as well as the other fine jewelry was placed neatly in their respective areas on her body. If there was one day she would sure to wear the jewels, today was that day.
With a deep breath, she slowly walked. Every step, every beat of her heart, she was so close to the rest of her life.

Tamal’s claws clings to the branches above the celebration, her bright eyes scanning those below her, and then to those above her. How exciting was this! Ru---one of her nannies was to be one with the lion she had taken as her mate! Her dark blue pelt rested on the even darker wood of the tree, her tail swinging over the side as if it were a branch itself.
The young heiress was growing up. While when she was younger, she would rather be spending this time rolling in some mud, or playing jokes on her brothers and sisters, today was becoming a more defined lioness. Her training to follow in her father’s footsteps as a warrior had helped with that. Soon, she would be a fully fledged warrior to help protect the pride just like the warriors before her had done.
She could see the lion called Kaym’itan was nervous, something that she had not seen before in the scout. If this male was anxious, she was sure the quiet white female had even more nerves of her own.
Tama’s eyes caught sight of the glow-y white lioness walking (slowly) to where all the lions congregated. A huge smile plastered on her maw as she watched the scene that would unfold below her.

The dark-hued youth was becoming more and more of a loner, pulling away from his family as he spent more and more time with the priests of the pride. Yet if asked, they would not be able to tell you what he did all day, as he spent most of it buried in the deepest part of the den where the archives were held, pouring through the artifacts and drawings that depicted his people's past. He had become inclined to experimenting with toads and liquid mixes, and was often discovered collapsed somewhere around the pride's dens, mumbling nonsense as if half-mad, yet he always came back to himself with a leaf-full of water tossed over him. The healers had sworn blind he was completely fine and indeed, totally sane, but the priests had found half-drunk bowls of strange fluids when ever he had been found in one of his 'states'.
But for today, he was sober and fully aware, bright blue eyes taking in the gathering quietly yet with obvious intelligence. The excitement had gotten to him of course, and he chanted in bursts with the other lions to celebrate the new couple. A few flowers had stuck in his mane and he left them there, amused by the way they stuck as if designed to do so. After watching for a while he spotted a few of his siblings and started heading towards Ney'ite, until he spotted who she was standing beside. Frowning faintly he stilled his steps but just at that moment, he caught sight of the Bell of the Ball. Grinning widely the young priest-in-training slipped forwards so he would have a better view of the whole event, letting his already rich and full voice join in the pride's singing.

Eytucan recalled the day he had asked Zelt to be his mate. His teal eyes observed above him, his sons and daughters were there. He could see Ney'ite with her Uncle; which really didn't bother him much at all. He had faith in his daughter and her ability to know her place; even without his brothers help. He imagined she needed some sort of solace from being taught how to act and telling her about the past kings and queens. He sighed, spotting the pale lioness who was the center; sort of; of the party.
He stood and lifted a paw for silence; as she approached the feast and the celebration. "My people!" He called, in order to silence them. As the singing quieted and all that was left was the crackling of fire and the buzz of insects.
"I see you sister!" He said to Ru; the pale lioness. He expected the response from the whole pride to be the same.
Jubes laughed at the antics of Silron, as he started to slap the branch against the branches. She dropped a few flowers blatantly at Kerusey; since he seemed to be a sour puss about the petals and Jubes hated him sometimes. She bounded over to Silron and pushed past him around the branch, knowing he'd no fall. "'Excuse me Silron." She said laughing, going to stand over Kaym'itan; were many many flowers were piled on the branches above him. Jubes would be above the couple and when the time came; flowers would fall.
She spotted someone she had a fancy for, Tsamsiyu. She took a moment to stare in his direction; her eyes shifting softly in the darkness. She felt a brush of cool wind blow across her shall; and at that moment she noticed the bride approaching. She smiled widely; she had spent a lot of time with Ru as a child; watching the other cubs while she spent time being babysat as well. "Ru... Oh she looks so wonderful in the star light." She softly whispered; as the king lifted his paw and silence fell.
After her lord spoke; she also greeted the honored female. "I see you Sister!"
Silron leaned down over the branches and laughed teasingly at his brothers Saagar and Txep. He was always the more playful one when he wanted to be; and at this time he was overjoyed and excited. Everything was so lovely and everyone was so happy. As Jubes pushed past, he almost lost balance and had to grapple the branch wide eyed. He cast a look at Jube's and wrinkled his forehead. "Hey... I almost fell into the fire..." He said swatting at her rear as she passed and took her place over the expectant and waiting Kaym.
When the silence fell, he looked around to try and find Ru, such a pretty lady she was. He spotted her finally and crouched on the branch, his tail curling around it for balance. He grabbed up some flowers and carried them over to where Jube's was also; he wanted to shower the new couple as well. "I see you!" He called down to her.
Pietr was nervous. For some reason this made him so nervous. Perhaps it was because he knew someday he'd be here; receiving the head dress of a king and becoming a mated male. He felt uneasy shift in his stomach; like a cold stone. He looked down at his sweet water and gazed at his face. He was so different than everyone else here. He felt so alone and afraid. He had to stop feeling that way. He lifted his eyes and spotted his betrothed; and her uncle. He felt that rock grow. He knew Kerusey hated him; he could just feel it.
He didn't like seeing Ney'ite with him. What sort of horrible things was he telling her about him. Was it his dirty blood. His lack of the normal blue. Everything. He lowered his ears quietly and kept his eye on his reflection; before he felt Eytucan shift and he lifted his head.
The bride was there. He didn't speak though as everyone else greeted her. He hoped no one noticed

The celebration of a union always made her busy, but you'd never know she even wondered the rightness of her own union to the Kings brother as she made sure all her preiests were doing their duties and that all was well.Smiling, and laughing with others the movement of one of her nieces, the heir beside her uncle, her mate made her pause for a minute.
She knew the darkness of her partner, though the true depths of this darkness was unknown to her but she'd not let him taint an already stessed heir. Bowing her head and excusing herself from the group she'd been adressing she slipped up beside her mate, smiling at Kerusey before she turned and bowed her head to Ney'ite. "I see you sister." She said in her gentle voice, her body hummed quietly with the spirits of the past as well as the spirit of the land under her paws, it made her more...aware of things around her.
She'd never say that this celebration made her think of her own that had not happened not to long ago, but her heart longed for something more than what her union had brought her, a shadow of sadness flickered in her gaze before she blinked and it was gone, a smile beaming on her face as she looked up at her mate. "Pleasant memories hmm?" Ysandre was silent beside her father, her lavender gaze flickered over the crowd, as well as the pair that would soon be joined together forever, mariage was not something that was to be taken lightly in the pride.
Silently she took a deep breath and continued to keep a posed, almost frosty look about herself as she looked at the pride she loved with all of her being, though if one looked at her, that fact would never be seen. She was frosty on the outside, she never wanted to disappoint her parents, but mainly the pride she loved so much. Being the almost perfectly poised, level headed and controled princess she could be, she had a great head for figures and what was best for the pride, lessons to be her sisters advisors came easily to her. She was a happy, loving and affectionate lioness, but that side of her was reserved for a very select few, the side of her the public saw was frosty and untouchable.

The young heir watched each member of his family carefully. They were all different in personality and interests and Sata was embarrassed to think that he didn’t really know them that well and that it was only recently that he had started taking more interest in his siblings. Ney’ite, the future queen. Silron and Tamal, warriors in training. Ysandre, the advisor and Txep…? A healer, Sata believed though he’d heard strange rumors regarding his brother’s training.
“I see you, Sister.” The young lion’s voice finally joined the others’ as he silently noted the bride’s beauty and decided that would try to spend a little less time in the deep jungle and a little more with his family. Of course, that was before he saw the Head Priestess Satomi – his uncle’s mate – accompanied by her little feathered companion and the heir’s attention was immediately diverted to the bird. The little creature looked very much like the priestess and Sata couldn’t help but to entertain the idea of finding a bird with whom he shared a similar resemblance. He wondered what it would take to convince one of his little jungle brothers that he was worthy of being followed. He could ask the priestess herself, of course, but that would imply joining the rapidly growing group. He could see Txep watching them as well – perhaps considering the same thing – and for a moment Sata almost joined him. In the end however, the heir simply leaned back to sit as his gaze followed the happy couple for a few moments before he turned to look at the bird again.
