Auden preferred crowds to emptiness, after all, when it wasn't 'drinking' hours he was down stairs with his mom in the taverns she worked at. Occasionally he would help out too and wipe down a table or two. But, when it came to this place the 'emptiness' always got to him.
"Hello," Auden said it so softly, hoping not to be heard. He spun around slowly, taking in the place. After his trip here during Halloween, he was far from a fan of this place. Truth be told he only came because his mom had promised to take him to the orchard so he could pick a bucket of apples.
Victoria was not far behind Auden, she never was. But with the sun almost setting she was extra cautions about her surroundings and herself. She hated to be out int he open at this hour, and would never get use to it even if it the time she often took Auden to play in the ponds, lakes, and streams.
(emptiness meaning you bump into someone constantly)

Apoxi Blighto came out after a few moments to greet the pair, carrying a little girl in her arms. She'd been seeing to this child when the two had come for their meeting and so the woman was stand their, her usual short messy self with long hair and big glasses, carrying a dark haired girl in a pretty red dress with a winged mertail. It was just thankful the girl didn't have to be completely submerged in water.
"Oh! Hello. Good to see you both. Here for an appointment?" Apoxi asked hazily.

Auden took a couple steps forward towards Apoxi. It wasn't her that he was interested in but instead whom she was holding. "Tail," he chirped as he touched the fin.
A set bright blue eyes settled on Auden. Victoria smiled but her face quickly twisted into concern. "Auden," she said as she took several quick steps towards him. "No," her voice was firm but gentle. She reached out and took his hand in hers. "You cannot just go up to other peoples kids."
"I don't understand, Apoxi said we are here for an app-oint-ment," Auden was still working on the big words and sometimes had to stop and sound them out. "And, here is pretty girl with tail." He giggled as he looked his mom in the eyes.
"We have an appointment but she isn't the one we are meeting," Victoria grinned at the mix up. "Apoxi she is gorgeous. So who is the lucky one to take her home?" She wouldn't know the person if told but she was still curious. Little did she know that she was the lucky one.

Apoxi shook her head sadly and cuddled the little girl. "No one. The people who signed up to take her didn't come in and we couldn't find them and this is the second time it's happened." the woman said with what was obviously a lot of tired stress in her voice. She hated all the trouble these poor babies went through just to get a home.
Shaking her head some she sighed, "Anyway, who're you here to see?"

Victoria's eyes turned a soft shade of gray as she frowned. She knew what it was like to be looked over, forgotten about. She sighed softly and forced herself not to think back on those things. Last thing she needed was for things to turn sour. She reached out and gently touched the little ones cheek.
Auden didn't understand why it was okay for Mom to touch the little girl but he couldn't. He wasn't going to throw a tantrum because he knew better. "Here to see pretty finned lady. Right?" He tugged on his moms shirt to get her attention.
"Yes, that's right," Victoria nodded her head as extra conformation. She, however, couldn't tear her eyes away from the black haired beauty in Apoxi's arms. "May I hold her?" She was going to waiting around anyways while Auden visited.

"Certainly. Just don't make any promises you don't intend to keep," Apoxi informed the other woman, handing the tot over carefully and taking Auden's hand in exchange.
"Come on then, we'll go meet Hvyette. She should be able to take another visit before she leaves. You might even get to run into Nix while you're there. But please don't be surprised if she's not that social - she's not very good with kids," she told the boy as they walked through the halls to a special door where they entered a room filled with two giant bodies of water.
One was a beautiful green sea area, full of light rocks and things, the second was what looked like a pool being drained - an area full of dark jagged rocks, and similarly dark and chilled water, but that was being drained, a very pale woman seated on the rocks, watching the water vanish with interest. Her hair was dark blue and she wore very little in the way of clothing, a fan very near to her.
Awkwardly sitting nearby was a young man with golden fins on his head who was talking to a much more voluptuous woman with green and pink hair. Apoxi smiled and waved as they passed those two before pointing at the pale woman, "That's Hvyette, you can go ahead and say hi."

Victoria blinked a couple times as she watched Apoxi take Auden's hand and led him off. She quickly smiled, and with that her eyes changed color again. With tot in arms she walked over to the wall and sat down. Mindful of the small one. "My name is Victoria," she said softly as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Hvyette," Auden repeated softly to himself. He had been so in thought over trying to remember her name that the last thing on his mind was his surroundings. Apoxi's voice jarred him from his thoughts. He nodded his head and headed on over to her.
Auden frowned when he noticed water disappearing. He mentally shook his head and smiled as he glanced over at her, not noticing the other two. Giving her a glance over he actually did not feel out of place for one as far as skin color, he could go just about anywhere and stand out. Though, he did feel a slight bit jealous that she had least had color in her hair, the only color he had was in the jewelry he wore.
"Hi," Auden said after having stood there for what probably seemed a good five or so minutes. "My name is Auden."

The siren looked over at him slowly and sighed quietly. "Hello Awdehn," she said finally, moving over a little on the rock so he could join her.
"I ahm goving home soohn, it vill be nice," she said offhandedly, not really sure what to talk about with children. This one at least didn't run up trying to hug her and screaming affections. She did not do well with others.

"You're going home?" Auden turned a simple statement into a question as he sat down next to Hvyette. "Is it nice to have a home?" He asked not really sure how it would be to live in a permanent structure. "We move around a lot," he added before he could get any looks. The last thing he wanted was to make his mom look bad.
