User Image Her mother Blake had went off with their human care taker Poet to go gather spring herbs for winter time use.
Leaving Tyler to wonder about by herself for the day. She almost got left with Recovery as a baby sitter but thank fully that wet blanket had refused the opportunity saying something about devil spawn and something else she wasn't paying attention to when she wondered away from everyone's bickering.
she knew her mother would find he if she really needed to Blake was an excellent tracker so getting lost wasn't ever an issue. Besides that she was actually quite proud of how adventures her daughter was becoming despite everyone telling her she was too young to do this or that.
Soon she found a spot to rest out of the sun in a small bush her greenish brown black coat with its swirling vine patterns made her almost invisible to the naked eye if she held still enough . . .not that she ever quite managed to be entirely still for too long.

User Image The light green eyes scanned along the foals view as he walked quietly around the forest, his favorite place to reside in, escaping from his family who couldn't contain their own thougths.
His mother was a constant wreck because neither him nor his sister were the children she had wanted or acted the way that would pelase her. His father couldn't keep a good or bad mood for very long, but he had become almost as dark as their grandmother.
He walked slow, he was in no way in a rush to get anywhere or see anyone. His stupid sister who was trying to steal his power was aggrivating his mind enough, as if a small filly could even compete with him. He allowed a snort to escape from him as he shook his mane.
He did not care what anyone was to say about his sister, he was the one in charge, and he was the one who was in control. He caught himself looking at the ground, then looked up to see another foal. Oliver stopped, she looked like nothing. He did not want to be bothered by nothing. His eyes narrowed onto her, then clicked his tounge and walked on, approaching her as camly as he had been walking before. His eyes rested upon her, but said nothing.

With a single brow lifted she looked him over as if assessing his worth like so much grass or grain. A playful smile lighted her lips after a moment and her tail gave a twitch as she spoke quite plainly.
"Eyes do seek and so they find
one hidden in leaves on twisted vine.
The question now is your words will they my interest bind?"
she finished still laying lazily out of the sun.
Tyler had been born it seemed with a love of words especially rhymes and riddles so As of late she had decided that she liked to rhyme when she spoke . . .a lot as it seemed to give even the most mundane of conversations just enough a twist or challenge to hold her interest. Which she was told was hard to do and she had a rather rude habit of walking away weather the other party involved had finished speaking or not. Besides The reaction to a rhyme instead of a mundane greeting as a first impreshion was always so interesting
her tail waged a little more as she awaited a response.

Again, the little foal clicked his tongue with a dry look into her eyes. The smile that crept across his face left him unfazed, he never really cared for the showing of affection, or rather yet the showing of attention. His hear perked at her riddle, she was one of talent he thought, catching his interest.
He remained quiet until she finished, then circled her with a slight passion, seeking out her strengths as he walked, but picked up on nothing. Finally, the vouice he dared usually not to share escaped him, "Oh, a riddler I see." His voice was flat and dry as more words escaped him, "Words that bind your interest, do come in time."
She had caught his interest, perhaps she knew more then what she had held behind her eyes. He kept his gaze onto her, "Does a shadow have a name, or must us common seers call it a mysterious mist of essences." He enjoyed her riddle and was now wishing to partake in her games.

he certainly seemed the high and mighty type and made no effort to hide it.. "not a man of manners" as Recovery would so put it.
She could appreciate that very much indeed as she was like that herself just a tad more sociable.
Either way it was no matter the higher the horse the further the fall in her mind and more than that the more exciting the game.
"a name? This rose by any would smell as sweet.
But if know you must
A game of guess peraphs for such a treat?
It shall be simple do you trust?."

she questied getting to her long legs. She loved games but rather more she loved interesting games with . . . interesting prizes. And by judgeing by how aptly he strung his words . . .this would be most interesting indeed.
"rules we need and here they be
clues two and guesses three
Winners prize is losers fee.
A question answered for you or a favor owed too me?
Fair is fair is fair do you perhaps agree?"

A glint In her eye matched that of her crooked smile.

He was impressed, her talent in riddles was something that he had never been faced with. He raised his eye brow only slightly, she was a tricky one and he trusted her gut that she would be something of use. The foals green eyes rested upon her, then watched as she spoke out yet another riddle.

He did not move, his face in its usual unfazed look began to look around her, he was not to interested in her name, he never was interested in the names of others. He had often tried to forget his own families name, since they met none of his requirements. But perhaps this game would interest him enough to make her one of his followers, for when he ruled in his older years.

As she finished he had realized he had been plotting in his own head, "Hm, three guesses two clues." He didn't know where to start, mainly because she had such an intoxicating game. He blinked, then looked at his surrondings, his face again unfazed. He was a hider of his emotions, the only time one could tell was possibly from when looking directly into his eyes. He knew this, and kept his stare cold and blank.

He looled at her, the smile which he had no feelings for, but began to ask for a clue, "Is it something of worth. Like elegance or, "he paused for a moment in thought, "or meaning."

"A name is always of worth
Make no Mistakes
For one friend or foe can draw a hold from death to birth
One more clue then your guesses make."

She recited leaping up onto a fallen log then walking its length with a jaunty skip in her step. The sun that filtered down and dappled her coat seemed absorbed by its greenish dark brown hue. Even in light she was a bit of a shadow.
"However you flatter me most greatly with your high and mighty guesses
just as your mane dose you with its curling tresses."

She paused with a wink before continuing on both almost skipping along and rhyming.
"So one extra clue
just for you
inspiration from the masculine my mother drew."
she added helpfully to point him in the proper direction and a kind of smirk.
Though she seemed inattentive with her constant movement and casual lack of interest. As he studied her she sized him up as well. He though he chose not to rhyme as she did his use of words was as hers beyond his age. a talent most worthy to have around. The big question was would he be friend or foe? Either way she had a feeling he would be around for quite sometime And this was to be a focal point . . . an axis if you will for everything that would come to be certain.

Olivers mind was quiet and still, she was so talented that even as a foal, he knew she held something that he needed in the future. He clicked his tongue, the forced habit, watching her every move. She was one of words and movements to distract the mind. How so did he enjoy this game he was being sucked into.

The answer he got for his hint was nothing he wanted to hear. Her hint seemed to be more of a mystery then the original riddle he was given. The foal did not move as he watched her, and then again she spoke without him sayign another word. Was she trying to flirt with him, saying that he was good looking? He laughed in his head, she was an unusual one. He would need someone like her in the future. Her twisted words caught his ears again, and he chose to respond again.

Then the wink, his cold eyes settled into hers, how he despised things of that nature.

"I see your words are more in depth then one can imagine, " her small smile again did not faze him, but it happened to add a hold on Oliver, she had caught him and he could feel it. His insides got more cold, to break away from her he would need to guess, just once. He walked close to her, eyes still in hers then supposed a guess.

"I'd believe your name is something like Shadow, but if not, " his light green eyes shifted towards the left of her, "then I do believe I have something I owe you. Unless you wish to guess my name as well, my lady."

She noted that her wink had unsettled him not so much in body language but in more of a general feeling. it seemed they both had their little "ticks" as she hated to be touched. Casual contact of any kind made her skin crawl.
Eye contact however was not an issue . . .though it probably should have been all things considered.
Had he really just given up at two half a**'ed guesses . . . what was this foal playing at? She guessed he was certainly smarter and More determined than that. Then why just give up cutting her game short.
He had alternate motives . . .or Perhaps he just underestimated her cunning in coming up with favors . . .that would be a large mistake on his part. She would have let him off easy for being such a good sport but now . . . it was so on.
"That was all miss not a hit
Now some advice and this is it."
she sang shaking her head to show he was wrong.
"Wise men say know the price before you pay the fee . . ."she shrugged gently.
"however if given up you have You now owe yourself to me. . .-"
Wait had he just challenged her to guess his name? most unusual she had never played the part of guesser before unless it was with her mother when they took turns back at the teepee.
But what if she lost? would she owe him a favor? . . .was it worth the risk? The thought of owing someone else would drive her nearly mad.
Then again she was talented her chances of winning were approximately 86.777% give or take a few. Pretty good odds all and all.
but she need to know just a bit more before she agreed to anything.
"A forfeit then a counter offer?" she paused her expression one of sly questioning. was he going for double or nothing? surely he was not such a fool.
"What kind of motive do you proffer?" She then took a step back cocking her head to one side.

She rhymed and riddled all during this brief meeting they had, but he was shocked to see that she had become so quiet in her motions the moment he suggested a counter deal.

He watched her, he could offer her anything really, now that he knew he had her. Oliver could tell, she seemed more interested in him now then she had at the begining. The foal was hoping this was because, he had offered her up a deal. She was a deal maker, but would she ever take a deal made to her? He smiled in his mind, oh how he loved the siuation he had fused her into.

He then walked slowly towards her, walking only a few steps closer to her. He was not afraid of her, no, he was intrigued by her. Olivers eyes gleamed with the intense passion he felt when he had trapped his victums before he destroyed them. Her thoughts must have been running wild.

"I was not given much of a clue, I started guessing without knowing my concequences. Shouldn't the rules stay the same?" Watching her, his eyes gleamed with the glory he held inside himself. He then allowed his deep laugh, which came out only once in a blue moon, to escape from his throat. His mother always said that the laugh was her greatest worry, because he never, ever, laughed. His tongue clicked, he only acted this way when he wanted to kill. He was an unusual soquili, with looks of a cute foal, with the intentions of a full blooded killer.

"All I ask of you, my lady, is that you stay my companion. That is, if, you guess my name wrong." Then came his smile.

For each of his forward steps she took at least one half one back. Something glinted in his eye that she didn't particularly care for yet . . .she understood all to well. it was odd like looking into a mirror was this what she looked like when she knew of her hold? Her small moss green hoof hit a patch of soft wood and broke through causing her to trip a little.
It was so uncomfortable to be on the other end of the stick she noted with a slight turning of a frown on her lips. She wasn't so much afraid as she was . . .annoyed greatly and most angrily annoyed. He was becoming to confident in himself a privilege that was only aloud to herself as far as she was concerned. This was her game how dare he think he could control her as he pleased like some common filly! Her eyes narrowed with determination. The fun was done this was business.
though his offer was tempting so very tempting . . .but she couldn't be sure what being his companion would entail.
"darker motive in you i detect.
though mind you my skills it would be wise to respect."
she paused something now glinted in her eye as well it was no longer the playful smirk but something much more serious.
"great minds think a like it seems
however end of game it means"

ha he had asked of her the same thing she was going to ask of him. she would take her upper hand here though instead of allowing him the pleasure.
" Im far harder to tame
Then to just be tricked into my own game.
So i think i will collect my fee and take my leave if its all the same.
a long with my name."

She then leaped off the fallen log onto a stump wich was slightly above him.
" You shall be MY companion from here on out. By the way Names Tyler." the first sentence since their meeting without a rhyme.
"were gonna get along juuuuuuust fine . . ."
Something about that last part sounded a tad . . .forbodeing as she looked down at him from her perch With grin so large you would think she had found a moutain of sugar cubes.
Of course sugar cubes Werent needed if she guessed correctly about how . . .miffed he was right now. Not that he would show it as much as she would have.

He had already decided that he respected her, but he was having far to enjoyable of a time watching her back away from him. The smile faded as quickly as it had come, when he smiled, it was for a brief moment in time. He would not use it often, he hated the signs of affection and of all others sorts. He watched her trip, and laughed in his head. Was she truely so fearful of a foal? He hadn't cared much as he looked upon her, her eyes that filled with her emotions, he nodded, but said nothing.

The way she rhymed her words, he did enjoy. He found them more and more interesting each time, sometimes they were easy to understand, others most would stumble and think about. He would have to try this when tricking his dinner next time he got the chance.

Their game was over, she wished not to guess. His light green eyes shot towards a bunny that run off into the forest, he would remember its first tracks. He watched her again, seeing her leap about, my was she one to move. He was more of a "strong hold stallion", one who held his ground. He often barely moved at all when standing up to another.

"Tyler" his tongue clicked, "Well then Tyler, I am Oliver Constantine Brochan." Her smile made him twitch inside, why were smiles to important to others? Oliver shook this time off thoguh, he had just made a loyal companion like he was ment to, one with a great deal of power.

Olivers eyes shifted back towards the forest, then to her, "I do believe we shall. In high hopes that we can be of each others assisstance through out the ages." The foals ear twitched to the sound of a bird around them, he was not happy that she had decided he was her companion, no he was quite angered by that sentence. Yet his mind created a small plot, "Now, what are your intentions with life, Miss Tyler
."

"Oliver Constantine Brochan? humm. Well that certainly is a mouthful of a name though i cant say it doesn't suit you entirely at least thus far." she commented her tail swishing back and fourth before leaping down to the mossy forest floor.
"Just Tyler will do Oliver were friends now not much need for formality when its just us two, and as to my intentions . . .Cant a filly just want a friend? Intentions -honestly.pfffft." she then laughed with a dismissive snort though her smile stated otherwise entirely.

He shrugged his shoulders, she seemed to think to much and he was growing to miss her rhymes which had caught his attention, though her normal voice was just as intoxicating. His eyes traced her again, he had not fully looked onto her. She had the colors of a dark shadow, yet with the hints of a kinder soul. In a way, the small filly was alike in ways.

Her moving so much was giving him a head ache, "Perhaps we stay in one spot for a few more moments at a time." His voice was dry and cold, but this was how he usually talked. She should be used to it by now.

Oliver's eyes glanced to hers, but only for a moment, he wished for many not to see what they held. He looked around as another bunny crawled its way into the forest, he held back his lust to catch it. "Well, with a filly like yourself, Tyler, you always have a secret intention don't you."

His tone didn't bother her in fact she hardly noticed however she watched him watching not only her but everything else that was happening around . . .he seemed most interested by the other forest life particularly a small rabbit and not in a usual way she felt either.
it didn't bother her . . .to much anyway.
"Stay in one spot? . .. One could say the same of your gaze." she noted walking backward in a circle around him almost as easily as she walked forward. For all the moving she did during the time that had passed between them so far her eyes had not strayed off of him other than in a casual way every so often and even then he was at constant in the peripheral.
"Eye on the prize Constantine." she chided "eye on the prize."
then mimmicked his tongue clicking in a playful manner still walking her backward a circle around him.
"As for my secrets . . .that's just a silly word. made for silly people who don't care to look beyond the obvious. i don't make an effort to hide anything . . .but i don't make it a point to make it clear either."
