I got the idea from you, I saw your profile and thought it looked cute so I read the tutorials you linked to and decided to make my own. Obviously the CSS bit didn't work out, I need to study that more, lol.

I would always recommend old school though, since it's easy to design. I only used V2 to try it out because I always use old school profiles. Old school is better, but I'm too lazy to edit stuff to fit the sections of the profile perfectly. MSpaint lack layers like a photoshop program.

I would suggest adding the whole "Designed by [insert username]" onto the profile background instead of typing it out. That way, when someone does take the background, it will say your username on the background.
Sadly, MSpaint is easy to edit. So I'm not too strict with avoiding profile stealerz on my profile.

Only if I made a profile through photoshop, because it's hard to edit it out if you're trying to steal the background and claim it as your own.

Thank you for the suggestions and the inspiration in the first place. I'll go back and add my watermark in tomorrow, I had to edit the original picture a million times to get it to fit without tiling sweatdrop I'll try with the old version profiles when I get enough of a grasp on the coding to make boxes <3

You don't have to put it old school if you're used to V2.
I know how that feels. It took me a month to code out my old profile.

If you need any questions, feel free to ask me, but I know more about old school profiles than V2.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention. This will be easy for you.

Go to Major Tools>Profiles>Profile Tester

xd Lol, thank you. That's really nifty tool, it'll help a lot! Luckily I've got nothing but time, it'll probably take me like a year to make a code. So much more complex than html and bbcode!

Not to me, but I guess I have a little more experience with coding profiles. I did them when I was just 14 years old (19 now).
But it was HTML profiles for Neopets. lol Then I forgot about them and a year later I started coding Gaia profiles.

Oh, that's a long time, it shows, you're really good at it! I mainly use bbcode because it's almost impossible to post without it here, so I know that the best. But I'm learning HTML since I have to convert posts over to that when I use them for my blog. Now, to CSS for profiles!
