A little shop owned by the off island business monger couple, Joe and Mary Smith. Having heard that there was an island somewhere in the middle of nowhere in expenction, they rushed there and bough a bunch of building and opened various shops that were missing on the island. This is only one of them! Of course, they'll be more then willing to sell it back to anyone with a right prize.... and if whoever decided that they changed their mind and leave the island (or, most likely, die in a horrible death), they'll be more than happy to rebuy it for half the price! This is how they make their money. Until someone take over the ownership of this shop, they'll be happy to run it from the mainland, almost never coming on the island to see how it's going. The employees, NPC or not, are then free to work like always and customers to use their services.

Despite the fact Zongxiàn had just moved in with his sister into Nirvani, he was already at the coffee shop dressed in the proper uniform with the proper name tag working. He did make sure to leave a note on the fridge for his sister, Charlie, in case she ever went looking for him. Being the "responsible" worker he is, Xian had opened up the shop himself, flipped the sign open and started stocking up the coffee to get the day started. Xian had also placed the platter of coffee buns into the oven and began the timer to time it so it doesn't burn. As he waited, he stood behind one of the counters, book in hand as he began to read a book written in the Chinese language. No costumers have rolled in yet, so why not Xian read a little bit until the first costumer arrives? It was just the start of his first work day. It shouldn't be so bad...

Shinju hadn't been the greatest employee she could have been the past few weeks. First there was the whole kidnapping thing, which was kind of out of her control, but she had missed a good deal of work because of it. And then, she skipped a few days when she was too paranoid to leave her house. It's not like she was that important anyway. Sure, she was the only employee, and without her, there was no one to open the shop or make crappy coffee for customers (mostly NPC's) or stand around for pointless amounts of time. But the new owners weren't even on the island, and so she felt like it was a reasonable gamble.
That's why, when the blonde reached the coffee shop, it took her a moment to realize that the lights were on, and the open sign was turned, and the door was locked. For a moment, she began to panic. Had she forgotten to lock up? She knew she was stressed, but to just walk away from work without doing anything? ...No, she remembered closing up shop, because she was running late and had to go home to cook dinner. And so she stepped through the doors and into the coffee shop, glancing around hesitantly. There was a man behind the counter. "Urhm.... Hello?" she greeted him tensely. Had the owners hired someone new? Or should she be more worried? "Whatcha doin'?" she asked as she stepped forward with an apprehensive smile. Might as well find out if she should be happy or worried.

[[Sorry this took so long XP I intended to post yesterday but my internet was too slow. ]]
Of course, the customers (NPC's as stated above) began pouring in at a steady amount, bringing the young Chinese to work alone. He had been informed that he did have a co-worker that hadn't been around the past few weeks. With or without his co-worker, Xian could technically say he's doing an okay job. Though the coffee is admittedly crappy, maybe they could have just served better cups once the two of them have finally gotten in. Xian eventually ducked behind the counter once more to refill the coffee dispenser when the door swung open once more.
He peeked to take a good look; he merely shrugged it off when another lady just walked right in. She was probably just another costumer. She was....well, pretty to say. He merely resumed to his job until she soke to him. She made him jump a little; her suddenly speaking to him had caused a little surprise. He would've rammed his head unto something, but thankfully, he did not. Besides, that would've been embarrassing, don't you think?
Finally adverting his attention to her, Xian replied: "Hello~" He greeted her as nicely as he could. Was his voice to soft? Xian was known to be quite a hermit sometimes. Of course....he cocked his head a littleto the side when she had asked him on what he was doing. It should've been pretty obvious he was working, and from the way she was tossing questions at him....she was probably his co-worker. At least she decided to appear now; when things get slow it would be nice to have a companion.
"I...er...I'm working..." He replied to her cautiously. Xian, realizing he still had coffee to serve, took the pot and laid it on the counter. "Er...you're my co-worker?" He questioned her.

Shinju took a moment to glance around at all of the NPC customers around her, and had to try not to shudder. Honestly, she didn't like this job. She was oddly fond of it at times, and it wasn't the worst thing she could be doing, as it was exponentially better than her time as a maid at the inn. But most of the time, she just crossed her toes and prayed that the customers would just order a plain coffee or a scone and leave, so she could deal with her thoughts in peace. It was hard to deal with all of this when you only had one employee! That's why, after staring at Xian skeptically for a moment or two, she broke into a small, relieved smile when he said he worked there. She wasn't alone anymore.
"You're a new hire?" she questioned, though she didn't really need to wait for a confirmation. She circled around behind the counter and set her bag down. "Thank god, I've been working at this place alone for way too long, I thought I was going to die." She let out a long sigh and ruffled her short hair. "I'm Shinju, glad to have you here. You seem competent enough, so I don't think I'll have to show you around too much," she added brightly. She was so pleased to have someone to share the work with again, she didn't pay attention to whether or not her words came off as harsh.

-Entirely intruding- Vlad entered the Cafe searching for Aneila who had called him. Seeing the girl wasnt there yet, he decided to grab some tea and wait for her. Yes Tea something to help calm him and possibly make him fall asleep tonight. Something like camomile or jasmine. Vlad approached the counter and asked for a, " Just a large Camamolie tea if you have it and some honey." Vlad said as he paid for the drink and waited for it and Aniela.

_____________Aniela had been in the bathroom. Being all nervous made her have to use the facility, you know. The anticipation of waiting to meet someone you don't really know all that well. She threw away the paper towel in a nearby trashcan and looked up to see Vlad at the counter ordering a drink. Hers was left on a table by the window.
"Vlad," she said as she approached the man of long dark hair with a smile. "I'm glad you came."

"Hey." Vlad said gently and with a light smile. Aniela was really beautiful, that white hair, the beautiful doe-like blue eyes. Her pale skin, the dancers physic. And yet all Vlad could think in the back of his head was about Camelia and his child she was pregnant with. Vlad grabbed his tea and joined Aniela. "Sorry, when you called i was.. i havent been sleeping well lately at all." Vlad said honestly to her. "Did you get something to drink already or..?" Vlad said as he offered to buy the girl something from the cafe. "How have you been lately?" Vlad asked her, yes focus on miss hot ballerina here, not yourself.

_____________When he grabbed his drink, she lead him to the table for two by the window and listened to him apologizing about how he was on the phone. Then he had asked if she had gotten something to drink already to which she nodded her head and picked up the cup with a lid containing her beverage. After taking a sip of it, she sat down in her chair and used her hand to ask Vlad to sit down in front of her. Aniela placed her very sweet and creamy coffee back down.
"I have been better, thank you. Since we last spoke I have been doing a lot of deep thinking. Then there was the matter of meeting the town news reporter. . He thinks I'm dead and that he's speaking to a ghost." She smirked halfheartedly and turned her face to the window and gazed out of it. "It's really depressing to think that some people really believe I'm dead. He did say some things that had me deciding my future. He said i should put a book out on my life and sell it to the public to help me move on. I'm not really all for the idea, but if it will help. . .then I'll take it." Aniela went back to looking at Vlad and smiled. "What about you? How have you been?"

"What an a**... Dont worry about the reporter too much. From what ive heard he takes things a little too far and makes up wild stories about everyone. God knows what he's made up about me." Vlad said with a shake of his head. " But yes.. it is depression and irritating what others thing of some people. especially when those things arent true." Vlad said more for himself than for Aniela. " But.. a book could be a really good idea. Id be interested in reading it." Vlad said honestly. At least they had that in common. Both misunderstood...both needed some kind of... therapy to help them move on or figure out things. s**t.. she asked how he had been doing. No.. come on. He felt compelled to answer her though. Vlad took a long drink of his tea and sighed. " Honestly.. not all that well. Its why i havent been sleeping lately. But.. long story short, my coworker is pregnant.... with my child." Vlad added gently. " And i.. dont know what to do. I want to be there for the child, but im afraid of commitment. And while i care for Camelia, i also dont know if i can be a good father. Especially with all the s**t in my past... but i want to be." Vlad said with a frown.

_____________Just hearing that the reporter makes up wild stories about everyone made her very uncomfortable. She couldn't imagine what he would write about her. Hopefully nothing too outrageous. . Aniela hadn't heard anything about Vladimir though. That may be better that she didn't anyways. Vlad had then changed the subject on her saying that a book on he life would actually be a good idea and he would even read it. Why would you want to read my book when you can just ask me yourself? She picked up her drink and sipped on it some while he continued to tell her of his tale. He explained how his co-worker is not pregnant and the child happens to be his. The man seemed torn about wanting to be a good parent for his child but he didn't know what to do. Aniela was feeling a little jealous inside about her only friend on the island knocked up with someone.
"I'm not sure I'm the right person to talk to about children. I never wanted any myself. . It would ruin my body for dancing." She grew quiet and continually sipping on her coffee. What would one say to an adult who is about to be a father? "I guess the only thing you can do it pay for child support or take responsibility for your actions and be in the child's life."

"What? Oh God no." Vlad frowned his tone appalled at Aniela's second advice. "I want to take responsibility, i want to be in the child's life. I want to be there and see.." Vlad's voice trailed off for a moment. He really did though.. didn't he? He wanted to be there for his daughter or son. And.. "And i told Camelia that but... " Vlad said as he looked to Aniela. " I know that look in her eyes. Ive seen it before. Cam wants more than just me being in the kids life. She wants more than me just being a father to the child.... and.. its that. that's making things.. difficult. I care for her... i do." Vlad said sincerely as he just held onto his cup the warm tea warmed his hands. "...but i.. dont know if its enough to commit. Not to mention what message that could send the child. Daddy is out chasing tail and not living with mommy, why? And what if im not a good father? What if the intent of being a good father isn't enough? I never knew my parents, and i'm more than ******** up enough. What if i pass that on to the child unintentionally?! Id never forgive myself." Vlad said starting to get worried again and having that uncertain panicked look on his face. "I mean... there's so much that i cant control that could happen to the kid.. and id never forgive myself if something like what happened to me, happened to my child." Vlad questioned worriedly. Yes this is all the s**t that had been keeping him up at night.. and more.. alot more. "And not to mention those rumors that surround me! God knows id slice my own throat before i ever touched a child in that way. But rumors enough to have a child be questioned as to why his father was being called a certain word and what that meant and if it was true. Which its not, and i ******** hate that damned Cop for.. and whoever the hell burned down my store. Which i wouldn't put it past Conor or Keith to have done that one. Why them? I don't know maybe because of their damn antics, but s**t i could just be paranoid here." Vlad shook his head now he was ranting on about everything that was on his mind. "And speaking of those two. I mean What the ********? They have what three damned kids!? If they can have children, then i sure as ******** can be a good a** Father. ******** that id be a better Father than either of them could ever be. And i mean-" Vlad stopped mid sentence.. He suddenly realized what he was letting go and who he was unleashing his worries on. Vlad frowned, his shoulders sank and his tone and eyes instantly became apologetic. Now he felt like a real a*****e. Here he was telling this girl all about his problems. She didn't need to know this s**t... why did she care and honestly this was s**t he needed to deal with on his own! His heart sank into his stomach. "Im sorry...." Vlad shook his head. "I.. i didn't mean to... rant like that. I ... " Vlad sighed and sat back in his chair. He ran a hand through his hair. "Now that i seem like a crazy person to you... um.. " Vlad said searching for something to change the topic to. "So.. dancing.. when did you start that?" Vlad asked, it wasn't much of a conversation saver....

Xian merely chuckled at Shinju's statement. "I could understand what you mean. Sometimes working alone can drive a person nuts." He admitted with a nod. High school often displayed people having to do all the work themselves; Xian had been in the bad part of the high school stick. He had been the one to make all the lab reports, format their projects and everything else. Sometimes, he'd sworn to kick the bucket in their faces to spite them but never really got to. Why die over projects? That was just high school. High School. The real world was somehow different from it.
Shinju had formally introduce herself at that point, and Xian could only do the same. "I'm..." He debated over it for a moment, unsure if he should give her his nickname or simply just his first name. "...Xian." He finally said after a while, giving her a timid smile. After this, he eventually went around the place, refilling coffee cups and doing all his work. Of course, being clumsy some of the coffee would just splosh out of the pot once in a while due to his rather bad hand-eye coordination. H sighed eventually before resorting to merely placing the coffee pot back down on the counter and getting a mop to mop up his spills before anyone decided to just slip! and cause trouble. No, that would be too much of a hassle.

"...Xian," Shinju repeated, glancing over her new coworker's face, cementing the name into her memory. She had learned the hard way that it was good to remember someone's name from the get-go, not rely on nametags to get the job done. Lots of awkwardness the first few days of working at the coffee shop. She leaned against the counter and stared at him for a moment. He was quiet. That would take some getting used to. She did better with outgoing, talkative types. Less work for her to do, conversation-wise.
She was a little impressed that he was taking care of everything so well, even though she did raise the occasional eyebrow as he spilled coffee every once in a while. He was new, it was to be expected. "Here, it's faster," she handed him a folded cloth. Mopping took too much time and effort, so unless it was a big spill, no point in whipping it out everytime. "It'll help if you slow down a bit. They've already paid us, they can wait a few extra seconds," she joked. Maybe it was a little too early to be kidding like that, he must have been nervous. "I take it you just moved to town?" she quickly changed the subject. "Don't worry, you can take it slow." These were just NPC customers, afterall, the punching bags of Nirvani Island. They had been trampled by elephants and abused by many of the mayor's other shenanigans, they could deal with some slow service.

_____________Her lips curved to form a frown when he snapped back at her words of wisdom. Like she had told him, she wasn't the person to talk to about what an upcoming parent should do in a situation. Aniela would have no idea what to do. He then continued on how he wanted to be at the child's birth and be in the son or daughter's life. The way he talked about wanting to have the child and wanted to be there for the mother sounded so romantic and loving. Her frown disappeared, already forgotten why she was in the first place. She was enjoying listening to a father speak words from his heart. The problem was, he didn't want commitment. He was concerned about the life the child was being brought in and if he would make a good father. Something most new daddies all go through. It's always in movie, that's how she knows. She was in a dream world thinking about what it would be like to have a beautiful baby girl in her arms, without manipulating her body. Like adoption.
Since Vlad was the man with her and talking, she imagined him standing behind her and overlooking her shoulder at the child in her arms, then smiling up at him and having the perfect mom and dad kiss. The dreamworld popped when he said something about rumors and that he would never do something to a child. What? Do what to a child? He said that whatever it was, wasn't true so it would be better off that she never knew. Then he changed the subject to someone named Conor and Keith about burning his shop down and having kids. Vlad certainly had been through rough times then. He stopped and looked like he melted into the seat or was trying to sink back into his shell like a turtle. She became concerned now what was wrong with him and why he suddenly grew quiet. He apologized to her. Aniela blinked a bit confused as to why he was saying sorry for ranting about his problems.
She watched him run his fingers through his hair and for a moment she wondered what that felt like. Such long beautiful dark hair. She broke contact from him and continued sipping on her drink. He then assumed that she thought he was crazy. The dancer smiled and set her cup down on the table.
"You're not. . that crazy. There is just a lot of stress built up in you." She then proceeded to answer his next question. "I started dancing as a young child. Just out of toddler years. My father and mother always loved to watch my performances and hooked me up with the best shows. I never gave it up because I love the way it feels to ballet. . Graceful movements and jumping energetically. Spinning and spinning while at the same time, you control how fast you go. Its like. . life essence translated into movement."
She smiled after finishing what she said and looked away from Vlad again to fantasize about him. This time they were dancing on stage together. He was her partner in black while she wore white. Two opposite forces combining to make something beautiful and mesmerizing. Her cheeks started to grow pink when she realized what she was doing. Aniela grabbed her cup and stood up from the chair. She walked up to Vladimir and used her fingertips to lightly lift his chin to look at her.
"You're going to be the best father for the child. . and a loving husband."
After making her last statement, she bent down to kiss his cheek like she had at the ruins. Sweet and light to the touch. Standing up again, she dropped her hand from his chin and stepped back.
"I'm going to head home. Thank you for coming. I feel much better now."
