The promise of a visit to her home star must have been inticing to Niflhel, because it wasn't more than a week or so before the idea had popped up again, and instead of meeting up to patrol the two had met just outside Crystal Academy. She was practically buried in a large fur lined cloak when she greeted him. It looked old.. but quite regal, the clasp that would have held it closed long ago broken and lost, leaving the front to fall open when she didn't forcibly hold it shut herself.
Her hands had grasped his own, her eyes shutting as she tried to focus. "Don't let go.. just focus on me" She had insisted.. though she'd never brought anyone to her world before. Did they need to focus? Or was it all about her own touch? Her mind focused on the star Polaris and on Azzo. The thought of showing it to him, of sharing her special place with him.
Would he think it was lovely? Or would the cold death of it all turn him off completely?
Her eyes opened slowly as the bitter chill of wind kissed her cheeks. Her fingers instinctively squeezing to make sure Niflhel was still there. He was.
Just Polaris and Niflhel hundreds and thousands of miles away from any other living pressence. A world of snow, ice, and metal stretching vastly around them in every direction. If he'd had any doubts before it was now very obvious.. this star was more than just a ball of gas.(( Description of world, kinda))

Azzo had brought a long a fur lined bomber jacket. Just in case mainly, it was labeled with the Crowley name, something that looked like it was from WWII. It had taken a while for Azzo to be convinced it was wearable passed down from Crowley to Crowley, but occasionally he did wear it on the coldest winter days. It had the matching scarf to go with it, he just wasn't sure about taking it with him, despite the fact it was warm and had no moth holes eaten into from the fact it was actually worn and cared for closely.
He could mentally hear grams chiding him about going out into the snow ever since Aurora had mentioned it. When he reached the campus he had only then let himself become Niflhel, placing the Jacket and Scarf on. Watching as the poet shirt sleeves fell out of the coat giving it an odd look. "I should invest in a trench coat..." He muttered thinking how it would look more fitting. Though as long as he didn't leave the bomber jacket behind he could always take it off, if the cold didn't cut through his uniform too bad.
He did as he was told when Aurora said not to let go and to focus on her. It didn't take much, for even though her coat was regal and looked warm, he still worried about her getting cold in that uniform. When the deathly cold whipped past his face, Niflhel gave a small shiver, it was colder than expected. Opening his eyes to a winter wasteland. "Wow...." He was still unsure that they were on a star. Holding on to Polaris' hands like if he were to let go it'd break the strange reality and they'd be back at the crystal campus. "This... its.... impossible..." He whispered as he looked around keeping one hand on Polaris'. He knew better, he knew that by now, if there were monsters and talking cats and magical girls that nothing was impossible. Yet, somehow he was still in doubt.

It wasn't surprising to see he'd come prepared, and she'd regarded the silly mixture of his page outfit with the leather jacket with a bit of a smirk. She didn't seem to mind when his hand didn't leave hers, perhaps also uncertain he wouldn't suddenly be sucked away when it happened.
"I know... An entire world." She spoke with a bit of awe in her voice. In truth Polaris didn't even know how large her star was, having found herself easily entertained within the field and forest she always appeared and the large city nearby. Were there more scattered cities elsewhere? Other strange landmarks? It was something she'd have to look into some other time. For now she more excited to show him.
"It's hard to believe that there were people and whole civiliazations on all the stars out here. And that.. that something so powerful could have destroyed them."
"I've looked and looked, and even though there is evidence that people were here once, noone has been here for a long time."
Her eyes left the landscape looking to him instead, trying to see what she could read from his features. It was probably a lot to take in. She'd had the advantage of being alone when she first came and having hours to just wander about and take it all in.

Niflhel listened as Polaris talked the breeze seemed to carry the words she spoke away after he heard them, but nothing really came back. "It's... almost eerie." He admitted trying to get a glimpse of everything, he was busy looking every which way he could.
"Have you explored the buildings or are they too shambled to walk inside?" He wanted to know more, see what sort of technology they had once had on the planet, if there were any stages or if it was all work and no play.
"There's so much room," He added, "There's cities but they left forests and things." It was also cold, he frowned. "Maybe we should see if there's a place we can go and build a fire." He offered to her, "I wonder there are books..."
There was so much to do and take in he couldn't help his thoughts were all over the place. "Or maybe someplace that would be good to train in. This would be ideal for training, no negas, no youmas. Just those that you take with you. It's a lot safer." His mind had seemed to eventually gone to training, something that wasn't going to be uncommon for him since he was still a page, despite her being an eternal he figured they both could still use the training.

"The buildings have held up pretty well." She'd taken the hint and was beginning to walk towards the city in the distance, the wind only seeming to help push them along faster.
"I've been into a handful of them. They do have books.. though they aren't in a language I can make anything out of... and they're a bit fragile" She'd had a book basically desinegrate under her fingers before. It'd made her feel incredibly guilty and more cautious about touching anything and everything. "I think that the people here did a lot of studying though actually. There are so many books. And a huge observatory. Like scientists or something."
Her fingers grasped the front of her cloak, closing herself into the silk and fur and banishing the cold from the delicate skin hiding underneath as he spoke of the cold. "The buildings are kind of a mess.. like someone invaded them looking for things. We can go in them though to atleast block the wind."
Training was a good suggestion, and she knew a pretty good place for it too. The wide courtyard that had once been a garden often drew Polaris again and again.
"Do you know how to start a fire without a lighter and stuff?" She asked thoughtfully, looking at all the ice covered tree branches and bark as they made their way through the forest.

He nodded, "You'd think they wouldn't've." He followed her as they walked, looking at the landscape grow into buildings as they walked. He hummed softly trying to see if there would be an echo.
"Hm... I wonder if we could translate them." He seemed curious if they could keep them from falling apart long enough maybe they could preserve the information, and learn in the process.
He seemed to ponder, "I wonder who ruined them." They were moving at a decent pace through the snow lined waste land. He shrugged, "Sort of, if not..." He paused digging through a pocket, "I have matches." He produced a book of matches showing it to her with a grin. "Gramps always said if you went camping to be prepared.

"It's worth a try. The more information we have the better" She agreed. She had been too afraid to take a book out.. but she'd not yet considered bringing things in. They could always study the books here.. or replicate the text on paper to take home and study. She didn't have any paper today.. but they could always just look at it and then see if they noticed any similarities in languages on earth after the fact.
As he spoke of the ruin, she could feel the sorrow of the star pulsing inside of her, drawing forth a soft sigh. He couldn't feel it of course, but it was talking to her in a silence that she had no way of dechipering just yet. The star was as full of sadness and regret as it was snow. One day.. maybe one day it would sing again.
She laughed a little as he pulled out the matches, musing softly. "Always the boy scout" It was one of the things she really liked about Azzo. Helpful, prepared, honorable.

He nodded pondering, "I wonder if cellphones would work, if we had those phones that do the scans, we could scan it and take it home to try to figure out what they say." He seemed to be thinking as they walked, wondering what they were going to get their selves into as he followed her.
Two sets of shoe prints left in the snow as the walked. "If we figure out the language and start deciphering there's no telling how much history we could learn. Maybe they have a base somewhere with documents on what happened to destroy all the life." He was looking around for something that looked like it might have been a diplomatic headquarters.
His honey brown eyes were sweeping the area as they walked. "Yes, well you never know what you have or don't have to work with. Better to be prepared than not." He smiled softly.

"Senshi phones work here. It's how you send yourself back home. I don't know about regular phones though..." Her phone didn't have that kind of a technology because Aurora had always been fairly technology inept and oblivious. "I don't know if the cold would effect them after awhile"
"It is a very good idea though! The cats might know if there was someplace like that. Or maybe Kurma.. though he kind of talks in riddles." If only Astraea were still around. Polaris hadn't seen the cat that had originally awoke her in ages. Had something happened to her? That was an unsettling thought.. Astraea had seemed one of the best links to the past they had.
The city was growing ever closer and larger as they walked, large towers spiraling above their heads as they began their descent down the pathway. The city seemed fairly circular, a center courtyard in the middle with buildings arranged around it. Paths lead alongside to smaller buildings further back, but the largest and most prestigest of the buildings set along the edges.
Pausing, she looked to him curiously, wondering which building he would choose.

Niflhel nodded, "You at least get phones." He said with a wrinkle of his nose, "As far as I'm aware we have nothing to communicate with others."
He pondered, "We should try it sometime." He offered with a nod as he looked around pausing when she did to look at the buildings. "I wonder if ********* would know anything." He paused looking at her funny when she mentioned Kurma. "Who? So what he's just a riddle guy?"
It seemed she was waiting on him to pick a place, he closed his eyes for a second before spinning and pointing in a direction and peeking. Good it was towards a building. "That way."
He said finally with a firm nod and started walking, sure she'd keep up with him. As much snow that fell here he was surprised the place wasn't buried in it. The crunching sound it made as they walked, "So any idea what this building is?" He asked curiously.

"I wonder how many of you there are..." It was a thought spoken aloud whistfully as he spoke. She'd never seen one before him, how many actually dotted the streets of Destiny City.
"That's the impression I got from him atleast. But we only met once, in a large group." She regarded as she looked from building to building. She'd been through most of the larger ones, the ones with more exciting decor catching her attention.
"He could float though.. that was quite weird." As she paused in front of the building beside Azzo, she looked it over curious. It wasn't one she'd been in before, so it would be a nice mystery for the both of them.
"Afraid not, I haven't been in this one yet." Shifting the weight of her cloak around again, she made her way towards the door. Pushing open the large door it groaned loudly, echoing eeirely through the silence.
The interior was different then what she'd seen before. Everything was similarly disheveled, furniture strewn and broken. The machinery and technology was indeed the same. But this one was different too. Cozier perhaps.. more liveable.
While before she'd explored a school.. and an observatory.. and offices.. this was most certainly someone's home. She paused at the threshold.. as if afraid to go in. But in the end she stepped forward in the entryway, her eyes circling the room curiously.

Niflhel paused, "Two that I know that. Probably more, Camelot seems to speak about more." He said as he placed his hands behind his head, "Actually, Zirconia called me a Mutant, I think she knows of a few..."
He gave a shrug, and shook his head, "Sounds like he is weird." He glanced around as they walked pausing, "Wait he can float?" This gave Niflhel a perplexed look, "In space right?" Obviously you'd have to float in Space.... you couldn't float on earth.
He perked up when she said she hadn't been in this one, "Oh?" He followed and looked as it seemed this happened to be a living place when she opened the door. "It's pretty nice." He said as she paused at the threshold, at least for what he could see. Letting her observe first since it was her planet.

So many... and so many unfamilar names. One day she'd just have to tag along with him for the sheer purpose of meeting some of his numerous aquaintances.
"No no. On earth" She insisted as she cleared a bit of a path through the room, pushing aside a chair here, her fingers trailing on a half broken table there. "Well both really. He was floating on earth.. and then when he took us all to space we all floated. I got to see earth. But I don't think I have the power to show you that."
Though she'd been less excited about exploring then he'd originally had, she couldn't help be feel a sudden pull. Something just a little bit more then the normal curiousity that had pulled her through other buildings. She peeked through an open archway into what was unmistakenably a kitchen. She didn't linger long, her eyes turning mildly to the staircase that lead up into the ceiling.
"I haven't seen a majority of the places yet really.. I tend to get distracted whenever I come. And it's not like you can come everyday. There is some kind of energy or something.. You have to rebuild it before you come again" She'd only been unsuccesful in one try, but it had been enough to teach her that lesson.
Tenatively she tested the stairs, and when they didn't give out she continued upstairs. Whether or not he followed was up to him. She was... looking for something?
That was kind of what it felt like.

Niflhel looked at her, "On... earth. I don't think Newton would be happy to hear that. Didn't he make those laws of gravity?"
Niflhel seemed to ponder, "I think I'm okay not seeing earth from space." He chuckled slightly as he plundered through a few drawers here and there, "You should really explore more, there's no tellings what you'll find. Heck we could probably find more matches, or a lamp or heating source that we don't have to use wood and matches for..."
There was a pause, in which he heard her walking somewhere else, "Ah good to know at least, Any idea how long it takes?" He asked curiously as he looked at one of the windows, he looked around to ask her something but she had already disappeared. "Polaris?"
He moved following her footsteps and finding a staircase, moving up them he caught up to her, but remained quite.

"Well.. I would say discovered more so than made" It was a symantics argument, but it was one of the few things she could really tease and joke about. Polaris was nothing if not a stick in the mud at times. Smart humor though.. that was up her alley.. even though most the time other didn't think it was that funny.
"Hmmm?" She regarded his suggestion with a soft look back. If she hadn't been feeling so weird.. so drawn she probably would have stopped in the room and began to rummage like he did. It was just strange touching someone else's stuff.. digging through someone's grave almost.
At the top of the stairs a hallway streched with a handful of rooms on either side. The room she picked seemed arbitrary to her, but she waited until she heard his footsteps to step into her, her voice trailing behind her. "I'm.. actually not certain on the exact time. It tried once just a couple days after I'd been before and it didn't work. But I don't seem to have any problem coming every couple of weeks."
"You lose time on the other side too.. so it's not very smart to spend too much time here. Plus you get hungry.. and cold.."
The room looked rather familar to some of the other buildings she'd been in.. a small personal study in comparison to the larger ones she'd seen before. Faded pictures dotted the walls, maps of stars and planets lay streched across the wide table. A shelf of books took over a large portion of one of the walls and a set of glass doors lead to a balcony, a few cracks allowed cold air to rush in.
Her hands ran across the books, eyeing the unfamilar symbols that lie where the titles should have. After touching what seemed like twenty or thirty books her fingers finally stopped, pulling out a thick book that she began to page through.
The words were completely foreign.. though she could make out some mathmatical symbols here and there. But she continued to page threw the large tome nonetheless.
