Chobi He had only been with Amrita moments before but for some reason now he missed that hard headed undead ghoul. Charlie always liked being around Amrita but now this was different. It felt like he was disappointed that the two had to split up. Oh Charlie was a love sick puppy dog even if he was not yet aware of it. The demon had never looked at ghouls like that before. Amrita was his favorite though. And that was why he was now standing in front of a certain grumpy puppys door and staring at it with a glint of determination in his squinty eyes. BANG BANG BANG BANG "HEY OPEN UP MAC! SOMETHINGS AFTER ME AND I NEED TO TALK TO YOU!!" BANG BANG BANG BANG "SERIOUSLY BRO OPEN UP THIS IS WAY IMPORTANT!" Subtlety, not something Charlie could probably even say much less probably heard of before. Enoh Mac had been sleeping when Charlie started pounding on his door. The Reaper peeked out from under his blankets, instantly irritated that someone dared to wake him while he was napping. HOW DARE THAT PERSON. He was all set to completely ignore the interrupting force - quickly acknowledged as Charlie - when his conscience got the better of him. It would probably be like the boy who cried human, but in light of recent events Mac knew he would never forgive himself for not answering the door should something ACTUALLY be wrong. "I'M COMING." He yelled flatly, irritated as he tended to be. Siiiigh he was looking forward to a nice long nap, too! Getting to his feet and mussing his hair he stalked over towards the door, pulling it open and leaning against it. Irritated and sleepy expression, bedhead and dressed in a sleeveless white shirt and plain black pants. Black eyed sleepily glared at the young demon, and upon peeking into the hallway, he leaned back with a sigh. "We've been through this Charlie, that's just your shadow." Chobi Charlie wasn't frightened by the image of Mac standing in the door way glaring at him. Nope, that seemed to be the reapers normal reaction when he was bothered abruptly. Though the reminder that it was just his shadow following him and not some secret agents gave him a sigh of relief and a chill of the spine all in one feeling. "Seriously, Just my.. shadow?" Charlie looked behind him almost forgetting the real reason he'd come in the first place. "No no no! Thats not why Im here right now!" The demon crossed his arms and looked around his shoulders. "Theres a magic user following me and I'm cursed. I need your help...." Enoh "Yes, just your shadow." Mac confirmed, about to close the door when the answer was refused. Curiousity piqued and he did take back his half-hearted attempt to close the door. That wasn't why he was here, really? Huh. This was actually starting to sound like a real problem, not a half-baked Charlie adventure! His irritation was definitely melting away, and when it came to his friend suspecting he was cursed...well this was something to look into. "Whaaaat? What do you mean you're 'cursed'?" Opening the door a little wider, he grabbed Charlie's arm and helped (read: pulled) him inside. Against his better judgement he leaned out to look up and down the hallway again; there was nobody there. Of course there wasn't. The door closed and the once-napping Reaper leaned back against it. "I swear to Jack, Charlie. If this is a lie I'm going to..." He trailed off, not sure what he would do. Maybe tie the straight jacket like it should be? It'd be a start.

Chobi Charlie bit his lip when he was pulled into Macs room suddenly. Mac was taking him seriously this time thank goodness! The demon was really concerned for his safety after all and only Mac could help. At least in Charlies mind. "Y-yeah cursed..." His tone lowered into something more seriously and grim then normal. Charlie put a little more emphasis on the word cursed especially. "Cursed.." The demon repeated. "I went over to Amritas to go play and give her a flower but ... but..... I couldn't talk right and my mouth felt like cotton and I was really warm and my heart beat went so fast that it almost EXPLODED out my chest. Some one jinxed me when I m around Amrita," Charlie flailed up at Mac, his arms going in random directions. He may have knocked random things off the reapers desk. May have. Enoh Mac wasn't taking him completely serious, but...it was a start at least, which was good. Charlie did seem concerned though, especially to someone who knew him well. It was enough to make him concerned, at least a little bit. There was still a good chance this was all nonsense, though! "Okay, yes, cursed, keep going." Mac urged as patiently as a recently woken up person could, arms folding across his chest as the young Demon's performance began. The flailing did it's job and papers went flying off of his desk, swept aside by long sleeves, and he even watched with an air of disinterest as an unopened package from his parents was knocked to the ground. Oops. "..." Mac knew what was going on the second he heard 'really warm'. Not talking right and cotton-mouthed could still be clear symptoms of 'Charlie', but the warmth was new. Suddenly everything made sense, and his frown faded into a thin smile that progressively got wider. Amrita...that was that little ghoul with the backwards limbs, right? He was pretty sure that was her. Oh. Oh this was going to be so much fun. "Is it just with Amrita?" He questioned, trying to sound serious. Chobi Charlie nodded at Mac paying no mind to the things he knocked off the desk. Knocking things off desks and breaking things tended to happen around the demon a little to often. "Y-yeah just with her. When shes far away I feel really.... bad... too. Not all the time but I uhhhh... And she said she liked the flower and I wanted to give her more too and then the warm feeling... I don't know." The demon grabbed his head as if he was trying to keep it from falling off. "I feel cursed. Its stupid. Amritas my friend. Why all of a sudden is it weird to be around her? You think someones jealous?" Another boil maybe? That thought made the demon a little angry. Another boil maybe cursed him so that HE could be friends with the ghoul instead of Charlie. Ugh that thought made the demon want to smash things. Enoh Losing items on desks was akin to an occupational hazard when friends with Charlie. Mac didn't mind, in fact he was probably never going to open that package anyway! Not a huge loss in his mind. The Reaper nodded sagely as Charlie continued on, his hand curled in front of his mouth to try and hide his grin AND make him look like he was seriously thinking. Doctor Mac was super srs about naming the ailment his friend had! Super, super srs. "I don't think anyone's jealous, you definitely don't have to worry about that." At least that was true; there were a lot nicer looking ghouls on campus and the one Charlie seemed to have picked was...a bit of a nervous person. They were opposites, perhaps that was why it worked. "I think I know what's wrong." The 'Doctor' moved forward, unwrapping his arms to lay both hands against Charlie's shoulders. "Charlie. You've got something very serious." Mac did his best to keep a straight face, but it was hard. So, SO hard. " Attraction."

Chobi "A-attraction? Is that a serious curse?" The demon gasped. Was his life in danger? Mac was being super serious right now and Charlie felt the beginning of his doom. The demon wrapped his hands around his throat and coughed. "I think it gave me a cough!! I feel my life fading! IM FADING MAC!!!" The demon coughed some more and wilted down to his knees. "Dying.. Im dying...." Charlie flopped on his chest arms spread eagle. "....dead... Mac.. Im dead..." Only, Charlie had really died before. This feeling was nothing like the time he'd died. Still, Charlie laid there and even let his tongue hang out for effect. Enoh " Very serious." Mac stressed again, releasing Charlie's shoulders as he started to have an 'episode'. "Hang in there, Charlie~" He tried to sound concerned, but he was too busy trying to not laugh as he watched his friend 'die'. This was totally different from last time and he knew of course that Charlie wasn't going to actually die from this, but it was too amusing to stop it from happening. Still, Mac folded his arms behind his head and tapped the 'dead' Charlie with his foot. "Whelp, since you're dead you can't be special friends with Amrita anymore~" He said nonchalantly, accompanied by a heavy sigh. "What a shame what a shame, some other boil'll probably snatch her right up~" Only probably not, anyone who wasn't Charlie would probably look like a ***** or something. Chobi Charlie lifted his head immediately when Mac mentioned another boil snatching his Amrita up. Oh helllllll no. Charlie rose from his 'death' for the second time. "WHOOOOOOOOOO DO YOU THINK WOULD TRY TO SNATCH HER UP! I'LL KILL HIM!" Charlie was very excitable usually so the elevated voice wasn't something surprising especially from him. Charlie was already in the process of rolling up his straight jacket sleeves. Oooohh he'd give any other boil a fight who tried to be special friends with his special friend. "SERIOUSLY MAC! LETS GO GET THIS GUY!" Only there was no other boil. It was just Charlie and only Charlie. Never not Charlie. Enoh "Whoawhoa WHOA!" Mac should have expected this from Charlie, but somehow...he did not. Black eyes wide and hands in front of him, he tried to yell over the demon. "CALM DOWN, CHARLIE. I didn't--I DIDN'T SAY ANYONE WAS!" He hollered, reaching out to grab Charlie's elbows before something bad happened. "YOU'RE ALIVE NOW! Nothing's going to happen, you're not going to die and we don't have to go get anyone." He spoke quickly, in a panic to try and get Charlie to calm the jack down. "Bloody Mary, poor Amrita." He cursed under his breath; the poor ghoul was in for it, especially if she felt the same. "Alright? Calm down."

Chobi No one was after Amrita? No one? Charlie gave a sigh of relief and instantly his tune changed from angry gonna murder mode to sup dude mode. "Really? thats good. I didn't want to die again that sucked bro." The chilling memory of all those kids looking down almost soulless on that island was enough to make Charlie shutter. He didnt want to think of dying right now that was boring AND depressing. Yeah, no. He wanted to think about this curse. "Well .. if nothings going to happen then who ever cast this curse is pretty stupid," Charlie stuck his tongue out to emphasis his disgust. Enoh "It did, welcome back to the world of the living." Well, mostly living. Especially in the case of one little undead ghoul. Black eyes spaced out to see what Charlie was seeing; the children in the fog, all those souls just STARING, waiting for something. Whatever it was, he was lucky and glad that he wasn't one of them. Shaking his head to get the image out, Mac turned his attention to the matter at hand - namely this crush that his friend seemed to have developed. "I didn't say nothing was going to happen, I said nobody's going to go after her." Mac corrected, though he definitely did say those words exactly. "And nobody put a curse on you. I can promise you that. It just means you like her more than just a friend." A lot more than just a friend, if Charlie wasn't exaggerating. Chobi "Whats this 'more then just friends' you speak of," Charlie was relieved but there was no time to take a sigh of relief until he got the full story. The demon truly was lost as one could probably tell by the disgruntled look Charlie had firmly planted on his face. "Not cursed?" And then it hit him. NOT CURSED!? "T-then... Amrita got sent on a wild goose chase," The demon looked thoughtful. Enoh "...Uhhh." Well damn, Mac didn't know how to explain this to Charlie. He thought about how to word it, he thought hard, and in the end he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. Explaining this to Charlie was like explaining it to his sister...a conversation he left up to his Aunt. ...Actually! "OH. Like...my Aunt and Uncle. They're friends, but they're in love. NOT THAT YOU'RE IN LOVE dear jack I can't picture you in love, just...you like her. A lot more than you like your other friends. She's special to you? You know, you probably want to be with her, like, to be her boilfriend." He didn't have anything personally to compare it to. Then it became his turn to pause. "...Where'd you send Amrita...?" There was a hesitation in his voice, like he was two seconds away from calling the Boogeymen. Mostly because if anything were to happen to the ghoul, Lizzy would likely kill him. Chobi "Like your aunt and uncle? But me and Amrita aren't lame bro," Charlie crossed his arms and lifted a brow at the reaper. Charlie was the king of cool in his mind and was totally not Macs aunt. Gross. "Oh ... Amrita went over to Lizzies I think ... Ummm.. yeah. " Charlie nodded. "But she'll feel silly when I tell her I just like her." Charlie gave his friend a smile. "You don't think Amrita will be mad at me will you? Its not creepy to tell her something like that. That we might be turning into your aunt or uncle...?" That thought was enough to give Charlie the shivers. He could feel cold spiders climbing through his skin thinking about becoming Macs aunt or uncle. Nothing was wrong with them really but they weren't Charlie cool. Enoh Mac frowned. Rather, Epic frowned. "They're not lame!" He insisted, feeling the almost instant urge to jump to their defense. They raised him, how dare Charlie say things like---augh. Well, Charlie was of a different speed, but still. Not cool Charlie. Not. Cool. Luckily he mostly got over it in lieu of the other news. "...You told Amrita to go to Lizzy? Why?" That seemed...a little odd, admittedly. Why would Charlie send her for help when he was clearly doing all the important stuff? Siiigh, Charlie. Oop, there went to reference to his Aunt and Uncle again! The frown returned, as pouty as ever. "You're not turning into them, don't tell her that." He chastised with an irritated click of his tongue. "Tell her you like her, and hope she likes you back in the same way you like her." Otherwise, that'd be awkward. Something he forgot to mention to the young Demon, of course. "I don't think she'll be mad? Surprised maybe, but not mad." Chobi "Tell her I like her?" Charlie looked up at the reaper feeling a little small. Was it that easy? Of course Charlie trusted Mac with his very life so of course he would listen to him. But some how for one of the few times in the history of ever the pink haired demon felt nervous. There were bats in his stomach and not the yummy good tasty kind. The kind that were still alive and trying to burst from his belly button. One time in his youth the demon HAD swallowed a live baby bat and it had lived in his tummy for a good two days before finally dying. It had been an ill fated dare and was not one of Charlies founder memories. How the bat had survived two days in there was beyond him. "I-I guess.. I should ... ummmm..... Whats a good way to tell her? Should I promise her lots of alcohol like mom liked?"

Enoh "Yes." Mac repeated simply. He didn't understand where the problem was. If you liked a ghoul you told them, at least as far as he was concerned. It was a rare sight for Charlie to look so nervous, and the Reaper couldn't help but watch him squirm for a moment. It was interesting to him, very very interesting. He was aware of the baby bat dare - he may or may not have had a hand in it, even a little bit - but age made him wiser. A little bit, anyway. "...Charlie, whatever you do, don't base what you do or say to her on your Mom. For your sake." Mac gave a strained laugh, scratching the back of his neck before ruffling fingers through his bedheaded brown hair. But jeez, what should Charlie say to the ghoul? He thought about it, his head tilted, and finally he shrugged. "I don't know man, a simple 'Hey Amrita, I like you a lot' should work? Ask her on a date or something?" He shrugged; Mac liked to toy with the ghouls he had crushes on - Tess being a prime example - so he wasn't sure what someone as childishly innocent as Charlie should do. "Just...go with the flow? Be yourself and you'll be fi---actually." Holding up a hand in a general 'STOP' form, Mac shook his head. "Be a calmer version of yourself." Chobi Charlie nodded as he went on about what he should do and what he should not do. But then the demon raised a brow. "CALMER VERSION!? I AM CALM MAC! IM MORE CALM THEN ANYONE ON CAMPUS! I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT!!" Charlie flailed at the reaper and then paused. "O-oh... You mean not scream at her...." Charlie was still. Charlie was calm. Charlie was actually pondering a head of time to him self. "Alright lets go then," The demon nodded feeling ready for this. Enoh Mac saw it coming and took preventative action...by pressing his hands over his ears, and being totally obvious that he was doing it. When the screaming was over, he pat the shorter boil on the head between the horns. "Yeeeeah, ghouls generally don't like being screamed at." Mac nodded sagely. Thinking back to Tess of course, he felt it only right to add: "And laughed at." The calm that did come over Charlie was yet another rare sight, and the Reaper was honestly IMPRESSED that Charlie felt strongly enough to act so far out of his norm. "...Wait. Why am I going with you?" Chobi "I need a wing man DUH! You don't have any wings but you'll do." It was obvious that Charlie had no idea what the hell wing man actually meant. No. He'd seen it in some movies though, or heard the term before. Yeah. Some where? Charlie wasn't about to waste anymore of his precious time now that he had gotten to the bottom of the mystery. A fire was a lite in his chest and it was burning hot. Courage sparked every corner of the demons body. Strength. Determination. The demon was already on his way toward Macs door. "COME ON MAC!"

Enoh "But that's not---" Oh whatever. Dealing with a determined Charlie left you with one option; dealing with a determined Charlie. There was no such thing as running away and even if Mac pretended to go but didn't the young demon would no doubt turn around and collect him. He looked down at himself and then at his jacket and hat, all the way on the other side of the room. Grumbling to himself he left them there, instead grabbing his phone from the desk and putting on the nearest pair of shoes - apparently sandals - and ran after his best friend, barely managing to close his door behind him. He didn't lock it; he had a vicious army of permakits to protect his place. "Where are we even GOING, man? You're not gonna invade Lizzy's, are you?" Chobi Charlie didn't answer Mac. The demon had already set course for Lizzies dorm and was marchin a war path of love-er-like to win his undead roses heart. Charlie was determined.
