It wasn't really the part of town that one expected to see a young, untrained reaper in. There was a bar on the corner, one with cardboard in the window because they hadn't gotten it fixed from the last barfight. There was a skeleton selling his--her--well, it's wares in the alley. And there was a crowd.
Okay, there was usually a crowd. Often they were having minipet fights on the curbside, or smokin' joints, or getting into fights. But this time something was different. Music came from the middle of the crowd. Cheering came FROM the crowd, and oddest of all, the sound of coins clinking together wasn't from someone being mugged. It was from the boil's open guitar case, where silver seeds were being tossed.
Roch glanced down to make sure no one was stealing more than necessary, or stealing the case, which would suck. He had one foot discreetly placed on the strap just to make sure that didn't happen. He really should have tried harder to find Lizzy after the ORP was over, but he'd had a rough time. He would give it back tomorrow, he swore.

It wasn't a part of town that you would see a well-dressed Demoness in either, but there she was, walking down the streets of a shady part of town. A part of town she had been raised far away from... She got worried about Roch after reading his groanspring message and decided to track him down, maybe offer to help. She took a cab-carriage down and, to make finding him easier, decided to walk the rest of the way.
While searching, she shot anyone who dared to throw her a dirty look a glare (that she had picked up from her mother, really) that screamed 'I dare you to do it'. The fact that mugging a demon in broad... Uh, nightlight is practically suicide helped too, of course.
Still, it was lucky she was even alive by the time she found the crowd around someone playing a guitar; being short did not help her check it if was Roch or some other random guitar playing person, and she had to squeeze her way to the front of the crowd, mentally weeping whenever she brushed past someone who smelt like he/she/it hadn't bathed for weeks.
Or months, for that matter.
"Roch!" She grinned happily, however, when she saw that it was indeed the reaper boil with a funky hairstyle.

The guitar strings yelped in surprise as Roch looked up at the call. "Lizzy?" he asked incredulously. "What are you doing here? It's dangerous for a pretty ghoul all alone!"
Which was probably the most retarded statement ever for several reasons, but he didn't seem to realize it. He pulled her guitar off and started to get all the silver seeds out of the case so he could put it away, much to the irritation of his crowd. "Sorry, guys, I need to give her back her guitar," he said.
He didn't seem to notice the greedy looks on a few faces as he pocketed the seeds and packed the guitar away. "I really shoulda found you first," he admitted as he stood and turned back to her.

She couldn't help giggling at his reaction, and she did not miss the sort of compliment from him, causing her to go a pale shade of pink. At least her face matches her hair now, sort of.
"And it's dangerous for you too, but you're here too!" Invalid argument, probably, since he's a boil and probably more capable at looking about himself, "And there's no need to pack up so fast! I've never really heard you play before, since I was ushered off to play a game when you started playing in school~" She moved forward, grabbing her guitar by the neck and tugging it towards herself.
"Why don't you show me your guitar?" She blinked, smiling as her face lit up at the thought.

He blinked, feeling utterly stupid as he reached down and took the tag he'd been wearing all day off. "Oh, right, I ah, forgot I didn't need this outside of the school," he said, lamely. Greeeeat, Roch. What a way to impress someone! He tossed it to the side, then lifted a hand, fisting it in the air.
The air seemed to twist around his fist as his FEAR took form. Soon a dangerous looking red and silver guitar was held by the neck in the clenched fist, and he slipped the strap over his neck. "Ahhh, Desiree," he said, patting it. "Man I've missed you!"
The people in the crowd started laughing, much to his embarrassment. "That's your scythe?" one called to him. "What are you going to do, play the humans to death?"

"Indeed~" She giggled again; despite Roch's punkish, tough outward appearance, he's still a boil inside! And he's not a grumpy reaper, which... Made Lizzy rather happy actually. She had never seen a reaper summon their weapon before - sure, she had seen Mac's weapon on the first day they met, but it was already there. Thus, seeing Roch summon his weapon was quite the 'performance' for her, and by the end of it, she was close to... Uh, for lack of a better word, sparkling, a wide smile on her face as she held her own guitar by the neck, resting the base on her foot.
"I think it's awesome," She nodded, beaming at Roch as she ignored the comments from the crowd, "A unique scythe for a unique reaper! Desiree? That's its name? Won't you play something?"

"Um, yeah, sure, but--" Roch made a face at the guitar for some strange reason, then placed his hand on the stock, running it down the strings slowly. Where four had been, there were now six, and the blade on the stock was a bit shorter. "Sorry, she musta been mad at me, she came out bass." Which seemed to make sense to the boil, even if it didn't make sense logically.
"Now lemme check her tuning," Roch added, glancing at Lizzy. "Um, see... I don't... ah... actually have a tuner for her," he mentioned before he started tuning her by ear alone. The sound wasn't like most guitars. It was slightly whiny and charged and seemed to echo even after he stopped touching the strings.

Lizzy stared on, wide-eyed, as he proceeded to tune the guitar-weapon. She had heard that a reaper's weapon is very much a part of them, and she could see why people would say that, just by watching Roch and Desiree.
"What will you be playing then?" She grinned, feeling a shiver travel down her spine at the sound produced by the guitar.

"Um..." What the hell was he thinking? This was the time he was supposed to be picking up enough silver seeds to feed himself and get a place to crash for the night, and all this talk was getting the crowd restless! If they were restless, it would be way more dangerous than he could handle! Back home he had an entire gang at his back, making sure he wasn't killed. Here he had... a cute little pink haired demoness. Somehow that wasn't that reassuring. "How about Little Wing?" he asked, his hands on the strings. "But I don't got a drummer back up, so I'll have to wing it."

The cute little pink haired demon would like to believe that she is not as weak as she looks, but it is true that the only real battle experiences she had - aka on school field trips - involved her dying... If something were to happen here, she was sure her friends would not be happy with her... Especially since one of them already warned her about 'not dying again'.
Winging 'Little Wing'... That made Lizzy giggle, although she was already in a rather giggly mood to begin with.
"That was fantastic!" It seems like Roch might have found himself a new fan, "I've never heard that song before, but I like it!" She paused momentarily, slinging her own guitar strap over her shoulder, adjusting it so that it once again fit her frame.
"Do you know of the song Sway?" She smiled sheepishly, blushing a little, "Compared to what you played, it's rather childish, I suppose, but want to play together? You can choose to play the chords or melody~ Y-you can say no though!"

The crowd had come back, and Roch took the silver seeds (and a silver tooth, which he really doubted belonged to the guy giving it) and shoved them in his pockets. "Thanks guys," he said. "I'll be sure to come back--"
"You're the reaper boil from Croost, right?" the were with the baseball bat asked gruffly. "My cousin's name is Fang."
"Yeah? That's awesome! That means we're practically family," Roch said, reaching out and shaking the huge werewolf's hand. "But I gotta get Lizzy here back to school, she'll probably get in trouble for being out this late."
He grabbed for Lizzy's elbow, ignoring how she was all set up for a duet. "We should go," he said lowly. "Right now."

"Wha-" Lizzy found herself being tugged by Roch right after he shook the same of some... Werewolf guy, and was about to protest when she realized that the boil looked serious. That, coupled with his tone of voice, made her nod begrudging, hanging onto the neck of her guitar with a frown; she knew this street was a bad, bad idea!
"Alright..."

"Fang owes me a lot of money, boil!" the were said, far too close for comfort.
"I'll tell him the next time I see him, I swear!" Roch said, urging Lizzy to go faster.
"That silver you just picked up would make a pretty big dent in what he owes me," the wolf said evilly.
"Don't look back, don't let go, when I say 'go' run as fast as you can, understand?" Roch said quietly, right next to Lizzy's ear. "Damn Fang and his gambling addiction--"
"I want my money, boil!" the wolf growled.
"GO!" Roch bellowed, breaking into a run.

"YESSIR," She squeaked out at 'run' before following (as best she could) after Roch, her hand tightly around his; she wasn't really scared. Well, maybe a little, since the werewolf guy was rather scary in a bad way, but it was rather exciting too. SHE HAD ONLY SEEN THESE THINGS HAPPEN IN MOVIES! She had led a rather sheltered life, after all... This was a new experience for her.
"If we can get to the main street, I think the cab might still be there!" She panted; while morning jogs were helping with her stamina, she was still not the best runner. Besides, if they had to outrun a werewolf, they'll need horsepower. Literally.

"You brought a CAB?" he asked, almost yelping as he turned for Main Street. "To this part of town? Are you crazy--don't answer that," he said, speeding up. She wasn't very fast, was she? Then again, he doubted she was in this sort of situation nearly as often as he was.
"REAAAAPPPEEERRRR BOOOOIIIIILLL!!" the bellowed shook the world around them, and Roch, being Roch, wrapped an arm around Lizzy's waist.
"You don't mind if I carry you, do you?" he asked as he started speeding up more.
