Mazhira climbed out of her den into the earlier morning light and looked around. She was suppose to be heading home, but once again she was delayed. Thjs time she was delayed by a new friend. Without words, without her brother, without her mother Hira had made a friend. She was excited and she wondered where he was. She smiled stretching and looking around, before taking up a silent trot to find her bright friend whose name she did not even know yet.
Scanning the horizon she looked for her friend hoping he was awake.
DayDreamer427 (10:42:19 PM): Kal was still asleep under a tree near the females den. He was so lazy always loaffing around, he was sleeping with his belly up and his tongue hanging out. He didnt sleep with her, he actually was growing rather fond of her This has been a strange experience for him. He has never felt so attached to anyone.
Kal was starting to enjoy life with this strange lioness, she was so interesting. He was almost being to like her...
Kaori_luv (10:50:58 PM): Hira spotted her friend under the tree and trotted over. She gave a silent laugh at the way he slept and then gave him a poke. She was looking down at him with a smile waiting for him to wake up. She wanted to teach him some signs today, some of her signs. Good morning and Hira and smile. She hoped he would understand her, she was so excited for the day.
DayDreamer427 (11:07:56 PM): Kal groaned groggily when the female poke him trying to brush away her paw. He slowly let out a yawn before rolling onto his belly. “Good morning” He said still wishing he was asleep. Kal was never used to waking up early normally he would wake up whenever he woke up but now he had a friend. He slowly sat up and stretched his legs and looked at the black female he now knew as a friend. “Did you sleep well?” He smiled genuinely at the female.
Kaori_luv (12:54:05 AM): Mazhira smiled bright at the male when he said good morning and when he asked if she slept well she nodded. Yes she slept very well. She pointed to him indicating she wanted to ask him the same, giving him a questioning glance.
She moved back a little so he could have more space and waited for him answer.
DayDreamer427 (1:00:02 AM): Kal smiled, "I've had worse nigths." He was actually starting to understand the females notions. She was so beautiful he was happy that she was the first face he saw. "Anything special were doing today?" He gave a smile and sat infront of the female. He was beginning to wonder who this femae was, and why was he falling for her.
Kaori_luv (1:37:35 AM): Hira grinned to see he was understanding her
more and more. It made her happy, so of course were he asked she nodded quickly. Her grin was wide as she stood, lifting her paw and point from her to him, then out to the world. She was trying to say she was going to show him the world, her world. Not that he was unable to communicate with him, but she wanted to make it easier. And more so, she needed two news signs. She did not know his name and she needed a sign that meant friend.
DayDreamer427 (1:51:59 AM): He looked at the female gestures, even though he was starting to understand the female not everything made sense. Kal shook his head he didnt understand what she was trying to convey.
On some level she was kind of amusing, it was sort of a game or at least thats what he tried to make it. "What about us?" He sometimes, much like now, would only understand bits and pieces of what she was tryng to say. But at least it was better then not understanding anything.
No matter the fact he just enjoyed her company, and she was beautiful.Being around her made him happy... something he has never been able to find before.
Kaori_luv (1:59:03 AM): Hira gave a silent chuckle when it seemed he only half understood her. With anyone else outside her family she would still be frustrated and trying to talk, but with her friend she was calm, happy and had mostly forgotten to even tried. She did not really need to and it was nice to know he wasn't going to force the issue.
She got up and motioned for him to follow, she did not go far just out from under the tree forgetting the sun in the moment and gave the ground a pat and walked back, two quick pats and she trotted, three and she ran. It was simply enough.
Now she pointed to him and gave the ground two quick pats to see if he understood what she was trying to say. It he understood she was trying to teach him.
DayDreamer427 (2:09:08 AM): At first Kal started to chuckle. He didnt know what she was doing, but when she pointed to him and sort of understood. She was trying to communicate. He nodded and he trotted a few feet then came back.
He gave her a big smile understanding she was trying to show him how she communicates.
Kaori_luv (2:16:22 AM): Hira was amazed and proud and happy, all at once, he understood. He understood her and it hadnt taken much. It was sort of like with her her mother, it didn't take much. Oh she was happy, so she gave a big smile. Then she remembered that it was like the first time she taught her brother a word, when she wanted him to smile.
She went right up to her friend letting her smile fall away first, then she raised her paw to her maw quickly and smile, then repeated the guesture on Kal. She was saying smile, not that was wasn't smiling already, but she hoped he would get it.
DayDreamer427 (2:31:57 AM): He felt so accomplished when he saw her smile becauethen he knew he got it right. One point for Kal.
Kal tilted his head at her next gesture, he didnt undertand what she was doing. Why was she frowning, did he not get it right after all? He shook his head. He was trying to understand her because well this female fascinated him."One more time." He said, he really wanted to understand her language and he wasnt going to give up, not until he knew what she was telling him.
Kaori_luv (2:36:01 AM): Hira nodded, smile wasn't the easiest sign to understand, though the sign was really asking. Asking him to smile for her. She raised her paw to her mouth and smile then put her paw to his mouth. Smile for me, she said in her own silent language. It was like asking him to come into her world.
If he got it, she would show him her name which was all together complicated and wouldnt make much sense, but she wanted him to know it.
DayDreamer427 (2:42:10 AM): Ohhhh, he understood now. He didnt understand before because they were already smiling. When she put her paw on her maw then he smiled and nooded. "It means smile right?" He just want to make sure he was interperating the right message she was trying to convey.
However he felt his heart beat a little faster when she touched him. Something inside made him happy.
Kaori_luv (2:50:40 AM): Hira nodded and gave a bright smile. It meant smile. Just two tries and he got it. Now she stepped back a littler and pointed herself, before raising the paw into the air moving it from east to west and the dotting the sky. She was saying her name was Mazhira. Her name meant bright and shining so she used her sights for day and stars for her name.
She repeated the sign a few times before pointing to him and moving her paw in a cresent shape. It was her sign for him because he reminded her of moonlight. It was funny how she was dark like night, but he was bright like the moon and they seemed to go nicely.
DayDreamer427 (2:58:13 AM): Kal stared blankly at the female. Okay now she had offically lost him. He tried to follow her movements. What was she doing? "Sun?" He took a guess about what she was trying to say.
When she pointed at him he noticed she made a symbol of the moon. "Moon?" He still didnt understand what she was say. "Im sorry i dont think i understand." He tried but right now he was at a brick wall.
Kaori_luv (3:02:43 AM): Hira smiled, it seemed she had managed to confuse him now and she did not want to confuse him further so she decide to call it quits. She nodded slightly to say her partially understood, but brushed up against him lightly, affectionately, to reroute his attentions. That was enough for the morning.
She turned and grinned at him before looking down to the ground staring at her paw. She gave him time to look then tapped the ground three times quick. Run, she said, in her language before taking off herself.
DayDreamer427 (3:07:10 AM): Kal felt his heart jump for a moment when she brushed him. He felt like a cub again, so carefree. He couldnt remember a time he felt like that. He had the urge to give her a small lick against her cheek but his better judgement told him no.
He smiled when she tapped her paw, he knew what that meant so it was no surprise when she ran off and he wasn't far behind. Maybe...just maybe he would stay awhile after all.
