As a born and raised Democrat, I do not believe the Republican party will. It's one of the main ways they keep so many people in their party. So many people want to hear how they're so devoted to God and that "God is on their side and America's side." However, in this country, church and state are supposed to be completely separate, which means people shouldn't be judging these politicians by their religious beliefs or their level of belief for that matter (especially if they are Christian). They SHOULD be focusing on their leadership, their truthfulness, their stance on certain issues/debates, and what they plan to do to help this country.

Probably not, seeing as the Republican party is largely based on "traditional" morality, which is virtually entirely based on Christian doctrine.
Of course, if the public wises up and realizes that a country shouldn't be run according to a single religion when that very country guarantees religious freedom, the Republicans would be forced to change or risk being erased from the political system altogether. However, considering the importance of Christianity among constituents, that's not likely to happen anytime soon.

They won't. Asking them to forsake religion would be like poking an angry bull with a fork in the back. Expect angry results when someone does that.

It'd be fun to watch though........ It's much more hilarious to see liberal-progressives fail epically, like what President Barack Obama's doing whenever he makes a policy. biggrin
