Now, I am making a series of classes for people to choose for their characters. So far I have this for info:

~~~::: The Purpose :::~~~
With the removal of the Stat System balance must be restored in some other way. For this purpose, the Classes were born. Each of the Classes listed below are more like archetypes for your character: they explain your weaknesses, your strengths, and even come with nifty abilities and limits that further define what each Class gives you. While these here are only the beginning, general classes, each race will have a list of their own Sub-Classes that, while optional, give further positives and negatives, abilities and limitations to further define the type of character you are.
~~~::: The Rules :::~~~

  • Classes are [not] optional. Every character must have a Base Class.
  • Once chosen, the Base Class cannot be changed except through Mod approval. The only time a Mod can approve this is if the character has not yet been used in the Role Play.
  • No alterations can be made by the Member to the Class. If the class says you are physically weak, you will [not] be physically strong. If you are playing against what your Base Class and Sub-Class say, you will be banned instantly without trial, unless it was sheer lack of roleplaying ability that cause it.
  • Each character may only possess [1] Base Class or Sub-Class at any one time, unless a Sub-Class or Base Class allow for this.

Now, the classes are what I need discussing right now, the Base Classes. The Sub-classes will be written up later. Anyway! The basic breakdown of the classes are:

I. The Brawler - Basic fighter
II. The Sharpshooter - ranged user
III. The Warrior - weapon user
IV. The Technician - technique user, also a medic if you choose to do that.
V. The Beast - specializes in augmenting the body and using only the body to fight, also known as the Myrmidon. They deal damage, and take it. Kenpachi was this class.
VI. The Average - You are not the best, nor the worst, at anything. You will never excel in one area over another. Also known as the Jack-of-All-Trades, Master-of-None.

Now, What I need to know is if these work, if there are others that need to be added, ones that need to be changed, etc. Just the titles. More information will be written for them after we decide which ones to go with.

*pouts* Awe man... I was so happy I finally was in a bleach guild with a stat system... All I know, is that The Technician, should have poor resistance to physical fighting, but be somewhat be better defensively from techniques, If you know what I mean.

Hey. Tiger. The Stat system still exists for those who WANT to use it :3 I removed it though because there was so much resistance to it that it was killing the guild. You know I love my system dearly, and still intend to use it myself biggrin But For the masses who don't appreciate it's value
Heart Seeker... they will find themselves STILL restricted my this Class System biggrin

Nncha...what's the difference between the basic warrior and the beast class?

I have my own guesses, but since you wrote up a few of them, you'd know best, yes?

Basic warrior is able to utilize techniques and such, like Kidou or something. Whereas the Beast has only a few techniques that only, ONLY increase his natural body, such as making his body bigger.

Though the idea of just making it where the Beast cannot use any sort of technique and can only fightfightfightfightfight is another. AS I said, Kenpachi was a Beast. xD

What did YOU think the difference was?

That was about it. The "primary melee" but uses kido and stuff.

I mean, all you had to do to describe "the Beast" was put "Kenpachi". :p

Yeah. basic Brawlers are just those who enjoy fighting. Like, Ichigo is a Brawler.

. The Brawler - Ichigo, Renji
II. The Sharpshooter - Uryu
III. The Warrior - Byakuya, Soifong
IV. The Technician - Momo, Orihime
V. The Beast - Kenpachi
VI. The Average - erm...no one in Bleach

HEre's a question: how would you explain Soi Fong? or Yuroichi? What would YOU classify them as?

This is going to be tough to do. Considering that there's so many different races and factions in the world of bleach, not the mention the custom ones being added to this guild.

As far as this discussion goes, Six Basic Classes could work. At the same time, you could narrow it down to four, basic classes being the Melee, the Ranged, the Technical, and the Average.

Melee would then have an automatic three sub-classes, The Brawler, The Warrior, and the Beast.

Well, we're doing it where each of the races will have their own sub-classes to choose from, since each race is different. Hence Beast and Brawler are different.

The idea is like:

Beast:
~> hollow
~~~>The Savage ~ Able to attain a more beastlike appearance when fighting, much like reverting to a state somewhere between resurreccion and normal. Increases speed and strength exponentially
~> Human
~~~> Vigilante ~ The superhero

Etc. There will all be different for each race. It's complicated, but this way it's not so...cookie cutter, you know?

That's sounds better, anyway. It's hard to tell from the way the topic starter post reads.

I. The Brawler - Basic fighter who uses melee weapons
II. The Sharpshooter - ranged user
III. The Technician - technique user, also a medic if you choose to do so
IV. The Average - You are not the best, nor the worst, at anything. You will never excel in one area over another. Also known as the Jack-of-All-Trades, Master-of-None.

I guess you could do that...It makes more sense. Several "Common" sub-classes could be listed, like the Beast and Warrior, and then we can ALSO have ones for each specific race. How does that sound?

ANother thought! Should we allow something like the "attributes" that Shinobi Nations has found so...appealing? It would not be called "attributes", but I was just considering it.

ANother idea is that we allow up to 2 subclasses, and say that you gain 1 at C-rank, and another at A-rank.

Thoughts, comments, concerns?

I post too slow...

Anyway, each of the subclasses will have a requirement. You can't be a Beast and take a Technician's subclass, you know?

Could a beast-type character still have a kido-type zanpakuto with ranged attacks and all, care of the zanpakuto, but not actually use Kido or bakudu themselves, just the zanpakuto's abilities? Or would a beast be locked to a physical-type zanny?

Beast types are physical fighters only, no kidou types allowed. There will be a class for a fighter/kidou user as well.
