Don't PM the artist unless they specifically tell you to or say it's okay.
Don't complain about how long it takes to be drawn, Usually it's worth the wait. Besides! The artists DO have lives offline y'know >_>;;
Read the rules and guidelines the artist provides in their thread. Usually they tell you how they want you to make your request, so don't be lazy and shoot yourself in the foot.
Provide the artist with a reference(s) if they agree to draw you.
Don't just post in an artist's thread asking for art and then leave... that's rude! >;( Stay! Chat! <3

Either the trade gets started and the artist confirms it, then the sender lets it sit 'til the piece is finished... ((This shows that the user has the gold to pay, and the artist finishes the work before the trade is completed. Show's good faith on both sides and makes sure that nobody gets ripped off.))

The Purchasee doesn't get a 'clean' picture until they send the trade. If this option is selected, Artists should 'Watermark' their work. ((Ex. plaster 'SAMPLE' across the image so it can't be saved and used until payed for.))
Also, Don't cancel your request unless the artist is sure it's okay and they haven't started on the order yet.

Don't change your prices in the middle of a commission, you can't expect someone to pay more after they've already ordered.
If you're going to be gone for a while, please keep your staus posted, so people don't think you died and are wondering how many centuries will pass before you return >_<;;
TRY not to close down you shop if you've taken on orders. Take a break? Okies, but let your customers know... If you're going to close your thread, please finish what you've already taken on first.
