That title's vague enough that it brought some other ideas to mind, but I'll save those for another time. sweatdrop

This came up thanks to another thread I made recently; the discussion brought up the similarities of 100% Reflection, and 100% Deflection, and 100% Armor, and even arbitrarily large Dodge boosts - they all do the same thing. Unless, of course, something else cared about the difference...

This is another possibilities for the G'hi system. As always, there's a chance that any of these effects could work as Passive Rings, buffs, or even as Pets bonuses, but for now I'm assuming they're G'hi-based. Frankly, G'hi could use the support. gonk

Essentially, they're simply 'passive' abilities that activate on a particular event; for instance, your character heals a bit whenever he dodges. Or, he gets a temporary Accuracy boost when he Deflects an attack (parry-and-counter style). Even something as simple as dealing extra damage on Reflected attacks would make the user actually care which type of defense they were invoking. I know we've talked about 'Armor spikes' abilities before (which deal damage to the attacker when you're hit), which would encourage players to focus on Armor, rather than Deflection or Dodge.

What other possible triggered effects could we have? A 'snore' trigger that uses an AoE attack when you're put to Sleep? A 'defender' trigger that grants you Rage when your allies are dealt damage? I'm sure there are plenty more I'll never think up; how about you?

By the nature of Ghi, these abilities have to be flexible enough in their effect to accomodate the rise and fall of the player's Ghi energy.

Down to business.

Rage management could be an option. Some boosts that give raged attacks some kind of benefit. Or possibly the Ghi bonus slightly reduces the amount of rage consumed by such attacks. (So your guage is slightly more full after the attack. Probably not an instant RR2, but at least closer than without the boost)

Ghi-related armor? Even if it's only 5% for the major boost...

... I thought I could think of more when I started this but I'm currently out of ideas.

If the G'hi Luck abilities are large enough to scale, I think any abilities we can come up with are. whee Anyhow, as long as there is any number involved, that number can scale based on G'hi pretty easily. 3nodding

I like the idea of Rage triggers, and that holds at least a few possibilities on its own; then again, my style of play is rather Rage-centric, so I'd be liable to come up with a disproportionately large number of Rage-matters triggers. sweatdrop

There's always something gataka's mentioned; having Kneeling trigger Crowd Control resistance (for the record, when I say "resist" I simply mean "re-attempt your Willpower save"), the effectiveness of which scales with current G'hi (I suspect that most 'resist' effects - as from the 'Cleanse' ring, or my 'Machete/Pillow Fight' Rings - will offer either a bonus or penalty to your Willpower for that one check, increasing or decreasing the probability of success)...
