Kiera's eyes were closed, as she traveled under the warm sunlight. She paid no attention to the area around her, as she knew where she was going by heart. Long grass brushed the front of her knees, and she knew that she was getting close. A light breeze stirred the brush around her, causing the mare to open her eyes.
The space ahead of her was growing familiar, as she took a left to find a thin dirt pathway headed up closer to the hills. She followed it calmly, in no hurry to the destination. Eventually she came across the enterance of a home that she had seen a few times before. Her heart lept as she approached, stepping out of the longer grass. Would he be home right now? She wondered to herself, golden eyes taking in the view of the deserted front. "Balraj?" She called out as a question, hoping that the stallion would answer.
It was foolish of her to come unannounced, but she found herself missing his company over time. She didn't get far before turning around to return to his side. What they had together was uncomplicated. Companionship in the closest aspect, yet she didn't find herself expecting much more from him. Just his presents alone was enough to keep her satisfied and happy.
She could remember the first time they had met, her belly pregnant with the foals of a violent Kalona male. Balraj hadn't judged her for what she had done, or even that she had the blood of the devilish breed running through her own veins. He was patient and kind to her, and had even invited her back. Kiera believe that he was one of the only reasons she stayed sane throughout the whole ordeal.
