Age: 20 turns
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straighter than you
Craft: N/A- Weyrbrat born and raised
Rank: Weyrling
Physical Description: R'yn has a small, lithe form. He could easily be mistaken for a female, if it weren't for the muscles he so proudly makes visible through thin clothing. He is scarcely 5'1; and he stands up to his inches. All of them; because when you don't have many to spare, you need every inch to prove your worth. He is slender and has delicate facial features on a sharply shaped face. His hair is a curly mass of black-brown, and like most Pernese, he is tan. Freckles adorn his nose and cheeks. His silvery blue eyes stand out in his tanned face, making them appear larger than they are. Generally the color's hidden in slits of amusement.
Personality: R'yn wants you to know that you are flawed. In far more ways than he is. This bronzerider believes he is perfection personified; Pern's gift to women, to be exact, and nothing any dimglow says is going to change his opinion. Everything on Pern was put there for his use; and naturally, everything he does is perfect. This overzealous, confident boy believes he knows the answer to everything.
Generally, he does. Even if it's the wrong answer to the question at hand, at least he has an answer. He wouldn't believe it if someone tried correcting him; R'yn takes great pleasure in correcting those around him. He loves poking holes in people's logic. He loves to tease. He has a vaguely cold sense of humor and enjoys seeing other people make mistakes so he can point them out several weeks later in front of others.
R'yn isn't very good when it comes to emotional attachments. He tends to close himself off, unless he can continually speak on his favorite subject; himself. How wonderful he is, how brave, how intelligent. If he finds someone who can admire him for all the things he admires about himself, perhaps a relationship would work out. Briefly. Until he became bored with hearing the same compliments. This boy does not understand love in its entirety. Flirting? He knows how to do that, he considers himself to be quite good at it.
This young bronze rider loves to be in the spotlight. If Gereth is ever around when a gold rises, he'll encourage his dragon to fly her. Along with his great love for his beautiful bronze, this over confident rider believes he would become a Weyrleader worth Harper songs. Maybe just encourage Gereth when Calith's about to rise.
R'yn loves to argue. He loves to taunt people into doing things he knows they shouldn't be doing. He enjoys the thrill of getting others into trouble. If he thinks you're too involved romantically, he'll tease. If he thinks someone's becoming emotionally weak, he'll point it out.
Beneath this seemingly cold cover, R'yn's a sweet young man, if a bit vain and cowardly. R'yn is young, and he knows that. He will sometimes use his youth to his advantage--but it is more likely to be against him. As Weyrleader, he will need guidance.
History: R'yn always had a need to be told he was special, that he was unique. As a weyrbrat, these compliments were scarce. He was one of many, even when it came to his milk mother, who had her own son to watch over. She doted over the two of them equally--but there was definitely an air of favoritism once her son Impressed a brown. G'rit was three turns older than R'yn, and they often fought for attention.
A half turn later, tragedy struck. R'yn's foster brother G'rit had attempted to impress both his younger foster brother and his fellow weyrlings. Instead, his dragon's wings were strained, and in doing so, they plummeted to the ground--but never hit it. Makith had taken them between never to return. At the time, R'yn had been only ten turns old; not yet old enough to stand. He vowed to make it up to his foster brother. He would be the best dragonrider Pern had ever seen. He would be the dragonrider he felt G'rit would have been.
His vanity was born by his constant need to reassure himself, because after his foster brother died, his foster mother tried to break all ties with him. He did so, quite willingly. He followed his own judgment; which still has a tendency to get him into trouble and into arguments.
Other/Talents: Arguing- R'yn has a talent for arguing, even if he doesn't believe in the point he's making. He'll argue just for the sake of arguing.
Memory- R'yn has an excellent memory, and he often puts it to use when teasing others. Did you drop something a month ago? Do something embarrassing in front of R'yn? He's certain to mention it in the months to come.
Singing - R'yn can sing, but you'll probably won't be able to catch him doing so.

Arika Susena
Name: Gereth
Color: Bronze
Final Size: 37 dragonfeet
Impresse Name: Rhiyn
Personality: Gereth can be really serious. He is not the type of dragon to tease or joke, either with his rider or with other dragons. He takes his responsibilities seriously and does not approve of slacking off or wasting time.
Gereth is a natural leader and will often take charge in situations. As a Weyrling this will show itself mostly by him being bossy but as he matures it will develop into an important skill.
When it comes time to fight Thread, this bronze will do exceptionally well. In fact, if he can whip his rider into shape they could very well be wingseconds or perhaps even wingleaders.
Unlike his rider, Gereth will not be a ladies dragon. He will not be a frequent flyer, instead choosing to wait for a mate that he could fully commit himself to. Rhiyn better get used to it because he will not rise until he has done so.
To his rider he is intensely loyal; he will never allow him to be sad or hurt and will always back him. Though he may be a little disapproving of his antics and silliness at times.
Mind Voice: His voice is a low rumble, calm and controlled. It rumbles through the mind, almost like a shake. He rarely gets angry but when he does it is though his mind will shake his rider apart.
