Character Name: Cedar Type: Pokemon Species: Ninetails Gender: Male Height: Around 5'7" Age: 18 Hair Color: Straight pale blonde hair usually worn with half of it up. Eye Color: Amber or Crimson Skin Color: Lightly tan Other: Has two paw print tattoos on each hip like these as well as a nose piercing like this. Nature: ~ Ability: Flash Fire ~ Will activate when hit by a damaging Fire-type move. Once activated, Fire-type moves will deal 1.5 times damage. Immunity to Fire-type attacks and Fire-type Hidden Power is in effect for the duration of this ability. Skill Set: ☆ Ember ☆ Will-O-Wisp ☆ Quick Attack ☆ Fire Blast
Personality: ★Curiosity ~ Like a feline, this Pokemon is infamous for his curiosity! It was this curious nature that led him to the human town and the strong yearn to be like the humans. He tends to get bored easily if there is nothing interesting and is not too hooked on being routine about things. This is part of what makes his curiosity such a big part of his nature and tends to kick it into overdrive easily. And yes, this trait has gotten him into sticky situations before in the form of sticking his nose where it shouldn't be. He has somehow managed to not gain any scars or bite marks from all the times he got too curious about what this Pokemon was doing, that human was cooking, what would happen if he tried walking in that house.
★Enthusiasm ~ Definitely not lacking in this trait. He is easily excitable and practically vibrates with glee when you tell him he's done a good job. Never seems to run out of steam when he is excited about some new thing he has discovered or that has been shown to him. Picture the little kid being taken to the candy store. That is the sort of enthusiastic levels this Ninetails will reach. His enthusiasm also fuels his determination to do well in battles or mastering a new move. He doesn't specifically seek out approval, but will never turn up his nose when receiving it.
★Adaptability ~ Always wanting to seek some sort excitement in life, deviating from an endless routine, he has become very adaptable to change. This is mostly due to the fact he seeks out this change himself. He'll move from location to location with no trouble, feeling like he is at home almost anywhere. Even gaining a human form hasn't put any restraints on this trait. If anything, it has made it more apparent in the Ninetails. He picks up fairly quickly on what to do and how to act like the humans do. At least when his curiosity isn't itching for a good bit of adventure.
★Doesn't think before acting ~ If it sounds interesting, he'll jump right on in and not think on what he's actually doing. He should try jumping from that rooftop? Sounds fun! Does it occur to him that he might break a bone or two? Not until after the fact. He's too enthusiastic in regards to not thinking before acting. This also applies to speaking without thinking. He'll say the first thing that comes to mind without stopping to consider if it is rude, might come out wrong, be taken the wrong way. He is slowly starting to learn to use his brain a little more, but not much.
★Persistent ~ "If at first you don't succeed; try and try again." Pretty much fits this Pokemon like a motto. He doesn't take failure as a sign that he should give up. It just means he needs to try again. Maybe try a little harder. This is especially seen when battling. A lost battle is not seen as a loss, but as a reason to have a rematch. This is also very apparent when he is trying to learn or working exceptionally hard to understand something. He will relentlessly go back to and keep at it until it starts to make semi-sense.
Strengths: Has a strong will to learn the ways of humans. Not afraid of change. Eager to try something new. Relentless curiosity. Weaknesses: Doesn't know when to quit most of the time. Can get too curious. Like an annoying hyper little kid.

History: He was always roaming, looking for some sort of adventure. Or just something more interesting than usual daily life. Y'know, something that deviated from the routine of wake up, try not to get captured, find food, try not to get captured, find more food. It just got so boring doing the same thing every day. His curious and adventurous side finally got the better of him.
Never having been a Pokemon wanting a trainer, he was curious as to why those that did have trainers seemed to like them or did what they were asked to do. The times that he battled those Pokemon and evaded capture after capture only built up his curiosity until finally, the Ninetails decided to go discover this answer. And the only obvious answer as to how to achieve finding this was to venture to the human's town where trainers lived and get caught. So he started to prowl around the closest town. And that was when he fell in love with the humans way of life. They had so many new and exciting things that he'd never seen before! He watched from the shadows for several days, seeing that day to day life differed from the Pokemons. He loved it. There were so many things that piqued his curiosity at what they did, how you used them, what was their importance? He wanted to know! Wanted to try them. He wanted to be like the humans!
It was on one of those cool nights while he slept curled up among some crates, that he had an interesting dream. That night, Musharna came to him in a human form. He told of how it was that he came to have such a form and offered the Ninetails a chance to obtain his own human form. It was more than the Ninetails could even have asked for! To be like the humans?! He accepted right away with a promise to learn how to be on equal terms with the humans. But more than that, he wanted to learn their ways out of the excitement and new wonders it would open up for him!

Okiedokie - I would first like to say, concept why I rather like this curious little pup. Admittedly, I think I might want to smack him upside the head a few times to tell him to 'wise up' and 'behave' but I suspect that's the intention behind his design!
However, I do have a number of quick questions, a little piece of advice and a few errors to point out. I promise that none of them are major! If I'm entirely honest, I rather enjoyed reading about Cedar and can't really think of much I would change about him.
1. He is incredibly determined, bordering on relentless. Would this include or exclude situations that almost certainly guarantee the consequences would be fatal? I ask this question because at the moment, there is a risk of him coming across as an individual who could get himself killed depending on who he encountered. In these cases, it's important to know whether or not he knows any limits, or alternatively if you would be open to the idea of him ending up with minor to serious injuries during roleplay.
Minor errors? Just one, "Peeked" in his history should actually be "Piqued" - the two words have different definitions and the one you're aiming for is to have his levels of curiosity increased.
Finally, the piece of advice I mentioned in the beginning paragraphs. While his history is adorable, there are times when it reads in an awkward fashion. I would encourage you to read it out loud and consider rewording little bits here and there to make it sound better. At present, when I read the history there are words that don't need to be there, or they occasionally appear in the wrong order. If you reread the history verbally, even if it's under your breath, you should be able to spot and correct them.
This last piece of advice is very particular and I understand that sometimes, people elect to write things in a deliberate fashion, if this is the case then you can disregard the remark!

Thank you so very much for critiquing my quest <3 And yes, he is intended to make you want to smack him around, but I am glad you enjoyed reading over it ^^
1. I actually have to admit I didn't think on it going that far. I will have to think that one over a little and see if I feel that fits his personality or not. There was the intention of him being able to piss someone off enough to receive minor or serious injuries. But I'm not one hundred percent sure he would be that relentless where the consequences would be fatal. I will rethink this one and see if I can make it a little more clear on how far his determination and relentlessness would go. Thank you for bringing this up!
2. That would be one of those 'MY BAD' and total oops moments there. I didn't even catch that while typing it out. Thanks for pointing it out! This has been fixed <33
3. I will definitely reread it aloud and keep your advice in mind. At the moment (without rereading it slowly and paying a lot of attention) I'm not sure if I can say it was deliberate or not |D It also might not have helped that when I wrote it the first time, it was later in the evening. I will do my best to try and make it much more clear in areas/word it correctly though!
Thank you again for the crit! It is very much appreciated :3

I was playing devil's advocate with my first question and was genuinely interested in what your answer would be. I know a lot of characters are persistent but happen to have their limits, I just wanted to know how far he'd go! If you're waiting to RP him to find out then that's perfectly acceptable. *Grins*
He sounds good though, I wish you luck in getting him and hopefully the staff will give you the go ahead soon once they've gone over his concept themselves!
