If practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect, then why practice?
If one has to become a monster in order to stop a monster, is it worth it?
If you try to fail, and suceed, then which one have you done?
If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?
If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?
What is the difference between being alive and truly living?
Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton?
Why do religions that support love cause so many wars?
Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing?
Why do we pursue knowledge, yet fear thought?
Exactly what word IS the bird?

Quote: If practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect, then why practice? In order to get closer to perfection. Quote: If one has to become a monster in order to stop a monster, is it worth it? Depends if you become as bad or worse than the monster you were trying to stop. Quote: If you try to fail, and suceed, then which one have you done? You have succeeded in the goal you were trying to accomplish. Quote: If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? Cause we are human and have freedom of choice. Quote: If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? I wouldn't live my life differently. Quote: What is the difference between being alive and truly living? Truly living is a subjective term. There is no real answer to this question. Quote: Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? Well, I'm a worried near-genius so. Some days, I would have preferred to be a simpleton. Others, I prefer having the amount of intellect that I actually do. Quote: Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? Cause its not the religions that are causing these wars. Every case of war brought on by religion. Has been brought on by someones twisting of the words of the faithful. This can be proven beyond reasonable doubt if you look at history. Quote: Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? I would prefer more work than I actually have. So, I would actually have more to do. Quote: Why do we pursue knowledge, yet fear thought? We don't, just some people do. Quote: Exactly what word IS the bird? The word is the bird is the word. All of these questions are complex. If you try to apply complex thought to them. They are much simpler to answer. If you apply simple thought to them.

1) To get as perfect as one can be 2) No. It is proven even in large scales that being nice is the way to go. Look at wars for example. Both sides become monsters and conflict still goes on. Yet with Gandhi, he got India's independence back through civil disobedience. He never promoted violence. 3) Succeed. If failure is what one wants and they attain it than the goal is a success 4) We are human and have different ways of looking at things 5) Regret is something I do not like. So I try to live life in a way that I will not regret as much. Why would I change that? 6) Being alive is the state of living. Truly living is living in a way where you have little or no regrets. In other words, living the way you want to. 7) Worried genius. Knowing the world and how it works is better than being oblivious to it. Trusting everyone is dangerous. Ignorance is not bliss. It is an illusion. cool Because people twist the teachings of a religion into something terrible. No war can be truly connected to religion. 9) More work you actually enjoy doing is not work at all. It is a passion. 10) Fear thought? Those who do that are simple-minded 11) The bird is not a word. It is an animal.
lol that was fun

Quote: If practice makes perfect, and nobody's perfect, then why practice? It's more symbolic, of course attaining perfection is impossible, but that's no reason not to try to get close Quote: If one has to become a monster in order to stop a monster, is it worth it? Don't see why not, unless of course the process is irreversible Quote: If you try to fail, and suceed, then which one have you done? Succeed Quote: If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? The two are seperate, not really much of a question. Like asking, "If the sky is blue, why are cows black and white?" Quote: If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently? Personally? Not much differently I think Quote: What is the difference between being alive and truly living? It's relative. Personally, I'd define truly living as being self-aware, and doing things that bring you joy. Quote: Would you rather be a worried genius or a joyful simpleton? The former, complacency is simply not something to which I subscribe. Quote: Why do religions that support love cause so many wars? Love is relative. Some could define murder as an act of compassion, freeing them from the evils of this world. Others see love as most do, that I don't know how to describe well, caring for someone despite their faults, putting their interests over your own, etc. Quote: Would you rather have less work to do, or more work you actually enjoy doing? If you enjoy doing it, is it really work? Quote: Why do we pursue knowledge, yet fear thought? Personally I believe that one some level, humanity is aware of it's incredible ignorance and self-righteousness. Knowledge is power, and we resort to juvenile tactics, "if you have the most power, you're right". Quote: Exactly what word IS the bird? Bird, Derp

1. I answer this question with a question: If Chuck Norris sees this and takes the second statement as an offense, you would want to practice to make sure you at least put up a fight, no?
2. Well, it depends. For those of you who are VOCALOID fans, you've probably seen the work 'Servant of Evil'. It says, 'If it's to protect you, I would gladly become evil' (or something to that effect). If it's something important to you, yes. I would merit that a good cause. But, then again, each to their own opinion.
3. You succeed because you were trying to fail, and you did, in fact, fail. I would know, I do a bunch of philosophy junk.
4. Because what fun would it be to have the perfect life? None. That's why I think like a scientist, I abhor perfection.
5. I would probably have become a marine biologist by now because when the average lifespan of a person was about 40 years was around the early 1900s.
6. Being alive is boring. It's full of Mondays and Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons. But once in a while, there are Saturdays. Those Saturdays are when we are truly living. Got it memorized?
7. I would rather be a worried genius. Do you want to know why? If I was a genius, I would be able to have a much bigger vocabulary. Not to mention, I like actually being able to listen to what's going on around me, not having it go in one ear and out the other.
8. Because they misunderstand our definitions of murder. They take their religion to the extreme, and by doing so, break the very fragile bindings of our society. So, in other words, the extremists commit bloody murder.
9. If I enjoy it, it ain’t work (Wow…I think that’s the first time I’ve ever used that highly inaccurate contraction before. Well, there’s a first time for everything)
10. As Robert Downey Jr. once said in his role as Tony Stark, "My old man once had a philosophy, 'Peace means having a bigger stick than the other guy'". I don't agree with that. Peace means everyone agreeing with the guy next to him. Or girl. Whatever. Those who fear thought are probably the ones in government control, believe it or not, and they believe that those who speak up against "If you have the most power you're right" mindset they have should be jailed. Out of their line of sight. It's annoying to think about it, but it's probably true. And I think I'm not the only one standing here saying 'Hey, anyone want to throw a government revolt?'.

A list of more questions:
1. What comes first, the chicken or the egg? 2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? 3. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? 4. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? 5. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? 6. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? 7. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? 8. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? 9. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? 10. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose? 11. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right?

These aren't exactly deep questions. They're just old adages being picked apart using other old adages. If there's any lesson to be learned from this thread, it's that people say things that don't really mean anything.

Quote: 1. What comes first, the chicken or the egg? Eggs were around millions of years before chickens. The end, I hate this stupid question Quote: 2. Which is worse, failing or never trying? You can blame someone for never trying, not for failing, it also brings closure. Quote: 3. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing? Doing either exclusively is either overly-utopian, or pathetic. Some things are simply beyond one's powers, only a mix of the two can be possible. Quote: 4. You’re having lunch with three people you respect and admire. They all start criticizing a close friend of yours, not knowing she is your friend. The criticism is distasteful and unjustified. What do you do? Ignore them, their opinions are their own. If they ask me to share mine, I gladly will, and if it comes to them criticizing my views, I'd have to ask myself why they're my friends to begin with. Quote: 5. If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? "Subtlety is overrated" Quote: 6. Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster? No Quote: 7. What’s something you know you do differently than most people? Walk. I do it silently it seems, which people have pointed out often when I inadvertently sneak up on them. I also apparently do this half-sliding sort of walk, don't erally know how to describe it any better than that. Quote: 8. If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why? Russia, because it is awesome Quote: 9. Is is possible to know the truth without challenging it first? Yes Quote: 10. If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose? Everything else. And everything done so far that goes towards achieving that goal. Quote: 11. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? It's relative, personally I say at all time, but unfortunately that's much harder in practice.
