There was a dark young lioness stuck in what seemed like a hole. She cried out, but no one seemed to hear. The poor lioness was terrified. She couldn't help but wonder what she would do if she was stuck there and no one realizing it. It kept getting darker and darker until there was no light at all. The only sound that could be heard was the wind scrapping sand against the rocks. It wasn't long until even the sound disappeared. The sand began to cave in on her.
Ak-kila woke up with a cry. She looked around. Everything was all right. She was safe inside her den, not barred deep under the sand. It took her a moment to calm herself down. She had never had a dream that felt so real. Looking around, she noticed her brothers and sister were done. She was a little glad they weren't around to hear her cry.
She decided that she needed to go on a walk, in hopes of getting rid of the frightening dream. Her steps were some what hurriedly. The temple walls seem to close in on her as she walked. She hoped that she was just imagining it. At last she was outside. She couldn't believe how much she loved the open air, even the smell comforted her. The sun was close to setting and most of the lions were heading back in. She knew she wasn't going to be out for to long, just long enough for her to calm down.
After a moment she decided to go on a little walk. The cool breeze was relaxing on her fur. It was much more enjoyable than the heat of the day.
