Moricorm – Das Tor
&
Daithi – Das Tor
She'd grown quite a bit. From a young cub into a stunning young leopardess. Her white paws pressed against soft earth, as she wandered away from her pride's borders, curiously. It had been so long since she'd been outside the borders. Gods, she could barely remember it....it had been in her Cubhood. Long ago, in the times that only tainted her mind as nightmares. Something within her longed to see it. She had to figure this out for herself, find out her path. Her crimson eyes studied the skies, and her pale blue spots lit up with the rays of sunset. How strange was this outside world?
Being a Neumare with her cubs nearly grown gave Moricorm the freedom to wander again...wander away from the edges of the pride. Which made her heart soar. She'd felt so stifled, so...UGH. She HATED Drathir. Hated him for killing her father. Hated him for taking the place that should have been her or Kasdeya's! Sparda's bloodline had no BUSINESS on Morifaer's throne! She snorted. Well...soon, she would be leaving. She would take those who believed the same as her, and leave until the Morifaer side of the pride was under the rule of someone SHE approved of! She growled and struck out at a tree, a puny thing that barely had any resemblance to those in the jungles that were part of the pridal lands. She needed something proper to take her anger out on...
Her ears perked up as another scent caught her nose. Well now...it seemed her prayers might have been answered. She smiled darkly and started towards the new scent.
Her nose turned up into the air as a new scent met her. What was that.....Wait....that was a Demon Scent, wasn't it? Her fur bristled a bit, and she felt herself become a bit nervous....Oh god. She hadn't been ready to face a demon YET! She was only an adolescent leopardess! Not even old enough to.....Gods....And Nuru wasn't here with her either! It terrified her. "Hello~?" She sang, her voice soft, crimson eyes nervous. Oh gods above, protect her....This was going to be careful work. She'd have to run.
Moricorm spotted the crimson leopardess in the dark. Well now! That coat looked familiar...yes! She'd gravely injured a leopardess with a similar coat! And killed the lioness traveling with her. Well now...was she going to get to destroy this one too? She stalked forward, silent despite the bells adorning her. It wasn't until she was closer that she moved so the bells would ring in that eerie way she loved. "Now what do we have here~?"
Oh gods......Looking at the lioness as her bells rang, her eyes widened. This.....This was that damnable figure that haunted her very nightmares. She'd thought it a figment....nothing more......but....it was a memory, wasn't it? Of her mother. Backing up, slowly, she looked at the femme, her eyes narrowing darkly, ".....Kimya'mwimbaji~" She sang, holding her chest up high, "Mmoja mpaka Halisisha in training~" Her voice raised in a soft song, something she was used to. She wanted her Shetani'msasi...her Nuru....here with her...but no....he wasn't here.....! Gods above.... "Who are you~."
A...OH! PERFECT! Not only could she cause some pain...it'd deal a blow to the Mwako'bi'Giza! Ri's smile grew, her eyes growing colder. "Such a pretty name for a lowly creature. I'm Moricorm...and I injured your mother near to death. A shame she got away...I could have gifted you the chance to add to my power. So...is she still alive? Or did she die, like I intended?" No sense in hiding it...the child recognized her.
Her fur bristled on her back, and a snarl ripped its way from her throat. She wouldn't allow Moricorm to bait her, but she wouldn't let it slide either, ".....Mother died~ So did Nuru's~" Her eyes saddened, "My Nuru and I~" She whispered. The thoughts of her Nuru made her realize what she was fighting for. Why she would protect her family from anything, ".....You....killed my mother~?"
Oh good. And if she died where the Mwako were...then Ri gave those fools another lesson. And then the leopardess said something about 'her Nuru'. If Nuru was the lioness' cub...than...Oh no. THAT would not be allowed! "Yes, yes I did." She felt Coactum coming to the forefront, the want to take care of the possibility of leopons NOW rising. "And Nuru...he's a lion?"
Her fur bristled, and her fangs bared, growling, ".....Yes. Nuru is~" Gods....she wanted to kill this female! How could she have killed Kimya's mother! And Nuru's too..." Her crimson eyes narrowed darkly, and she shook her pelt out. " ....."
Ri sneered at the leopardess. "Wrong answer." And she leaped for the other feline, obviously intent on ending the younger female's life. "I won't let you bring more of those THINGS into existence!"
"I will do what I wish!~" She sang, her fur still fluffed as Ri lunged at her. Falling to the ground, she rolled to the side, her training as a Mmoja taught her to fight a little.
"Not if you're dead!" She landed and turned, fangs bared. "And I will make sure you die by MY claws!" She darted forward again, bells chiming with her moves. She was small...but she was deadly from a lifetime of fighting creatures bigger than her.
Each chime of the bells had KImya's eyes training straight on the lioness. Darting to the side, using her speed to her advantage, she charged at the female's side, snarling.
Ri stopped, bracing herself to 'catch' the other's charge...and then use the close proximity and leverage to get the other female on her back. She would NOT loose to a lesser feline! Especially one that wanted to bring those ABOMINATIONS like Mabaka'damu and Uhuru into the world!
Yowling, she was rolled onto her back, but managed to get onto her paws, and brace herself for any attack that Ri might throw her way. Before the other pounced, she took in a deep breath, and let out a loud, singing YOWL. These were her pride's borders, after all, "Will not lose!"
Ri laughed. She laughed at Kimya's cry. "You will loose, and you will die! I will make an example out of you!" She darted forward, lashing out with one paw, sharp claws out of their sheaths.
The paw struck across her face, the scratches gouging across the side of her right eye. Yowling again, she lunged, jumping high, and aiming to secure her teeth wherever she could reach on Moricorm's body....
Ri's small victory was short-lived as she felt the other's teeth sink into her back. It might have been her neck, had she not moved. She growled and rolled, trying to get the other female under her weight.
Yowling loudly again, she was pinned under Ri's weight, being younger and still smaller. The Leopardess was built for Speed, not strength. "HELP~!"
Ri grinned darkly, shifting so she could put her claws to the leopardess' throat. "I told you that you'd die by my claws." That was as far as she got. A rather large red bulk showed up, using his weight to throw Ri off of Kimya. Ri didn't recognize the red and black and white male, though by the anger in his eyes, he was definitely a member of the Mwako.
"I heard you cry out earlier, Kimya." Daithi had always been one of the quickest lions in the pride since his birth.
Kimya looked up at Daithi, with tired, releived eyes, one nigh on blinded by the blood dripping into it, "Daithi~" She sang, glaring at Ri, "Thank you. Be gone, Demon~" She hissed, "I will be the one to kill YOU."
Ri struggled to catch her breath after having the wind knocked from her, looking between the two demon-hunters. Growling, she knew she wouldn't win this time. "You can dream. But one day, my claws will find your throat, and you will regret any thoughts of your lion." Before anything else could be done, she fled, Daithi's attempt to pursue her blocked by a shriek, pink and pearl talons, and white feathers marked with blood red. The little bird that blocked Daithi's way took to the skies again...and Ri had vanished into the grasses, her bells silent.
Daithi looked to Kimya. "Lets get you looked at by the Mfuma..."
Kimya nodded, suddenly stumbling a bit, leaning against Daithi, "...." Her eye slightly closed, she gazed at him with her one currently good eye, "Don't tell....Nuru..." Her words were weak, and unsteady paws betrayed her strong resolve of only a moment before, "Please.....Don't tell~"
Daithi nodded. "I won't tell." He smiled slightly. "We can take you to Farlest. I'm sure she'll keep quiet too."
