This is a PRP between Saluki (Seruta) and Daniella (Kira_of_the_Flame) Saluki trotted calmly down a twisted path towards a nearby meadow. He used to frequent the meadow often when they first arrived on this side of the waters, but lately the field missed the painted Unicorn's presence. He had been spending much of his time moping about his parting with Alejandra, but the two of them just couldn't be, as much as he hated saying it...
Thankfully - to the rest of his loved ones delight - Saluki's human finally broke through to reason with the broken hearted stallion and encouraged him to trot around for a while. Explore. Meet new Soqs. SOMETHING! to keep his mind off of the would haves and had beens.
He suddenly felt the urge to break into a blissful run and went along with this feelings, letting the wind guide him in his journey into the large meadow. He blocked out all other senses. Just focusing on the pounding of his hooves against the warm earth and the wind through his mane.
Just what the doctor ordered. He nickered softly to himself, pleased with how good just letting go felt - even if it was just temporary. He knew he'd be dreaming of her again tonight, but for the moment there was him. Just him and only him with the wind and the earth.
He broke through the treeline and began to slow into a canter, then trot... until he managed to find himself walking. He wasn't really paying much attention to where he was going, only that his body seemed to carry him there as if by instinct.

Daniella wandered through a sparce forest, mostly at a brisk walk or a slow trot. She had become a nomad and has traveled through much of the country since her adolecence, taking in experiences and meeting new people. Sure she missed her adoptive family but they had thier own lives and it was time that she found her own.
She broke out into a smooth canter as soon as she cleared the trees. The sun on her coat felt wonderful and the breeze was strong enough to blow her bangs from her eyes. The joy of freedom hit her blood and she started going at a full gallop, well until she saw another Soquili on the other side of the meadow. She halted quickly and eyed the golden stallion.

Saluki was still off in his own little world. The distant thrum of hoof beats hadn't even deterred him from his own thoughts.
He inhaled deeply to the heavy rush of wind that pushed against him, sending his mane and tail billowing behind him. He stood tall and posed proudly against it, closing his eyes briefly to enjoy the feel of it through his fur and along his back for a change. He usually had a blanket draped across it where ever he went, but today he allowed his human to have it so it could be cleaned. Plus it was supposed to be a nice and sunny day. No point in wearing it in the warm weather.
He soon brought his thoughts back to the now and took a slow look at his surroundings. Peaceful... just as he left it -- What's this?
He finally caught sight of the painted beauty not too far away. He focused his ears and muzzle towards her, sniffing the air curiously before turning to walk slowly in her direction. He knew there were many Soquili that traveled in this area, but he had yet to meet very many of them. This one was also not wearing a pelt as a neck warmer... so his nerves were a little more settled at that fact. The last thing he needed at the moment was another confrontation and fight for life. The fresh scars on his neck were all he wanted from the evils of the world so far, and he was pretty sure he didn't want to collect anymore than that...
Once within range of a casual conversation - but still retaining some distance - he stopped and looked her over, bowing his head softly to show he had some manners about him. "Hello..." he started, tail flicking in his idle curiosity.
It was as good a start as any.

She watched the golden paint as he walked over to her cautiously, even from where she was she could see the shine of scars on his neck where he likely encountered a skin-walker or kalona. Poor guy, well at least he doesn't look likes he's been cursed by the thing. In fact hes rather handsome. Once he was in conversation distance, though not close enough for her to n** at him, he stopped and said hello.
Daniella bowed her head back to him before saying, "Hello, Im Daniella. Im sorry if Im trespassing on your herds land. I assure you Im mearly a nomad." she gave him a smile. "Its nice to see another paint, seems lately we are far and in between." she nickered as a giggle snuck out of her.

Saluki smiled softly. She was a gentle soul. Her first responses proved that and he relaxed further. His tail flicked softly as he lifted his head to briefly look her over.
"You aren't trespassing." he spoke calmly. "This is just where I used to come and run about. It had been a while though." he turned his head a bit to look around. "I'm just glad to see its unchanged."
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Daniella. My name is Saluki." He bowed his head softly in another greeting - just keeping up with his manners.
He then looked her over again, smiling softly at her signature paint markings. He chuckled softly and nodded. "I guess that depends on where you look." He didn't mean to come across as rude, so there was some sincerity about the way he talked. "My... herd, I guess you'd call it, has a couple of paints. Though I wouldn't literally call it a herd. We all kind of... wander about as we please." He chuckled a bit at that thought.
"Would you care to walk with me?" he started with a bit of a turn in the other direction. "There's a stream on the other side of this meadow. My apologies, but my throat's a bit parched from my recent run."

Noticing his gentle easy smile she began to relax a bit more and allowed herself to walk over to the stallion. She smiled as he introduced himself, "Hello Saluki, its nice to meet you."
"Really you have more paints in your herd? I don't know very many. You're the first one I've met in quite awhile." she told him as she looked his marking over.
"Sure we can take a walk, no harm in that." she grinned "and a cool drink of water is just want I need." she walked next to the stallion Saluki as they made their way to the stream. As they walked she looked around at her surroundings, a natural reflex for her from being on her own. This place is beautiful, no wonder he likes it here. "I can see why you like this place, it is quite beautiful." she told him. they reached the stream and she took a long drink coming up with a refreshing, "Ahhhh much better"

"It's always been beautiful. A wonderful place to come and relax... to help one forget..." The last bit seemed almost a whisper and his distant gaze suggested that he might have intended to keep it within his thoughts instead of verbally speaking it to where anyone could hear.
He chuckled to her comments as they walked and drank just a bit once they reached the stream before continuing the conversation.
"I would offer you to a visit with my family... though I'd be a bit weary introducing you to at least one of my sons. He's..." He paused a bit with a chuckle. "Well, he likes the ladies. We'll leave it at that for now."
"And my 'niece' will probably want to know anything and everything about you. And... probably ask you the embarrassing questions too." he chuckled at the thought then sighed. "Perhaps when I get to know you better I can introduce you to the other paints I know."
He drank more from the water then shook his head. "So what about you? Are you from around here?" he started and looked around a bit. "I can't say that I've seen you around these parts."

"Seems like this handsome stallion has a past he would rather forget." Daniella thought to herself as she watched him gaze out into the distance.
"Ladies man huh, I've met those before." she laughed good naturedly as she listened to him talk about his family. "You seem to have your hands full, no wonder you've escaped out to this place." she smiled at him.
Taking a drink she listened to him ask her a question. "Well yes and no, I'm a child of the wild, I live everywhere and go where I please. A wanderer of sorts. I lived with a family of a friend while I was a filly but now that Im able to take care of myself, Im exploring." she looked at Saluki, "I haven't passed through these parts before, plus if you every saw me anywhere else, I hardly stay long. I've never had a reason to." Daniella honestly told him.

Saluki shrugged slightly. "My kids are grown. Well... One of them has grown in only appearances, at least. One of my sons lives with his mother. My daughter comes and goes as she pleases, much like my other son. Though he tends to enjoy hanging around my human and annoying her to no end." He chuckled at the thought. "They are the only other paints I know, of course. But this place is good to get away from it all, that's true."
He turned and moved to lay under a nearby tree as he listened to her speak of her travels. "You seem to have had quite an eventful life, Daniella!" he smiled. "Is there anything you seek in particular? Or are you just traveling about for mere curiosity?"
