I've heard that Downpour is being delayed...well who cares, SH 3 and SH 2 are being rereleased in HD! It didn't say what systems as of yet but, this could give me the chance to play the second one and to beat the third one, especially if the tune up is on the 360 and Ps3, if that's the case, it will have achievements and trophies to go with it maybe? Lets hope it won't have to be bought on the Marketplace and the Playstation Network. This means I can gross out mah peeps more often!

That ... vaguely confuses me. HD ? Does that mean I get to watch Polygon errors in even sharper resolution now? :'D
(I'm just saying because, they pretty much never update the graphics in these kinds of games when they re-release them. So, what's the point of re-releasing them with a higher resolution. It seems silly and is most likely a way to squeeze more money out of poor little Fuyu.)

Well when I played Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, the Butcher Bay storyline that was originally on xbox is part of the game and is obviously tuned up. I don't think that they want the rep of rereleasing the games with outdated graphics. It's hard to tell, however there still is the reason of getting it if you don't have a ps2 anymore and want to be able to play those two games. -3-

I have a copy of the first game for PSone, the PC version of SH2, and a copy of SH4 (i rented sh3, i didn't like it very much). So, I guess, they're probably not really shooting for me. X3

X3Well you won't understand a lot of the third one if you haven't beaten the first one. Personally, I liked what I saw/ heard of it. The Room was too rushed for me, SH2 sounds like fun, and I completely beaten the first one aside from upgrading the Hyper Blaster. I only have the Downloadable Silent Hill 1 from the Playstation Network, Ironically I used to have SH3 for the PS2, I didn't get that into it and stopped playing it, I still do want to play it again though.

Teehee! I used to do speed runs through the first game! I think my fastest time might be four or five hours to beat the whole thing (I'm sure you can do it three, though). As for the second game, it is my faaaaaaaaavorite! I believe that it is pretty much the perfect Silent Hill game and portrays the town perfectly, from an outsider's point of view. I also really loved the fourth game, I loved the fact that they were approaching the town as a complete outsider again. I didn't think the game was short at all, especially compared to the first one and even the second one! Since none of the other games ever really took place outside of Silent Hill, I thought it was an amazing concept to see how the town could grow and infect other places.
As for the third one, maybe I'm just a purist, but I thought it was really ... annoying. I liked the fact that there was a female protagonist and that she wasn't a squealing idiot. I hated the fact that they killed Harry within the first couple hours of the game. Then, I loved the fact that they were going to explain about the cult that existed in the town further (because the first game only ever talked about Dahlia and the Doctor). But, with the sister and the gods and whatever, it just kind of got confusing.
And, I could rant about all the games, because I've attempted all of them, but this post is already huge. > . <

I admit, it has its flaws and chinks. They should have at least allowed Cheryl to react with Harry more before they decided to kill him off. I admit, how they decided to do that was stupid, however it's not as if the game isn't still fun. The main reason I like 1 and 3 better then 2 and 4 is because well, two was good, probably an awesome different Silent Hill, it made too much of a gap between what happened though. Same for 4, it sort of felt like a spin-off, neither are bad games though. xD
