Rumors

"Aye, so there I was, minding me own damn business when- Eh? Now how do ye know what I'm going to talk about already?" Asks the weatherbeat man before you, one eye squinting against the drink thats already within him. You know he frequents this bar and have heard many a tale that he's told. "Alright alright, no need to get snippy. Here's one I just heard! Tis quite exciting I must say." He grins as more people begin to gather about, his newfound importance obviously going to his head.

"So, have ye heard tales of a new upstart captain recently? Apparently there be two lady pirates skipping around as you please on the high tide lately. And they are rather... Different. They whisper that there be magic afoot with them!" He grinned as he heard the gasps and the voices that rose at that little bit of information. He took a swig of his ale and shushed his audience gently. "Quiet down now. Aye, there be magic afoot. And here's another thing, they are looking for more crew right now. Now you didn't hear this from me, but I hear they are seeking an isle with mysterious treasure. Even I know not what be there. They have managed to keep very quiet about it." He nods and shrugs, a frown creasing his lips as he downs another gulp of ale.

"So, will any of ye be trying to join this crew? I hear the lady pirates are very er.. hehe." He blushes like an idiot and makes a curvy motion with his hands, receiving some whistles and cheers from the crowd. He chuckles and points towards the nearby board, the drink starting to really go to his head. "There be where the sign is if ye be interested."

New Laws

HEAR YE! HEAR YE! ALL CITIZENS OF THE GREAT ISLE OF BRITAIN READ!!

There be new laws and regulations that must be obeyed!

1. ShadowLadyRaven and Maya Freana are the new Constables on the block so they must be given the proper respect and authority.

2. No Godmodding! It won't be tolerated in the least.

3. PG-13 only. You want your porn, go enjoy it on your own. Don't bring it here. We don't need to see that.

4. Obey all other rules set down before such as the Gaia ToS and the other Guild Rules.

5. Please send all applications to our ShadowLadyRaven. And be sure to title it "Really Bad Eggs" so she knows what your talkin' about. A confused Constable is never a good thing.

6. No ** or anything for actions. We're all literate here, or so we hope. I know not everyone gets the schooling needed.

7. While on that note, please write at least 3-4 sentences. We know it can be hard to think of how to put things into words, but it's easier and better for everyone if you write a bit more most if not all of the time. Helps keeps things moving.

8. If, as an applicant, you know you may have other business to attend to, please please PLEASE let the Constables know!!! They get rather cross if things get left hanging without any sort of explanation.

9. If you are fighting someone, no auto-hits or auto anything. Especially on the dying/killing note. Make sure it's ok with the other person to kill their character.

10. Please only have 3 characters each. We do like variety here.

Name:  Lillian Sylvia Tethras

Gender: Female, obviously.

Appearance:  Aye, what do you want? Mind you, her clothes aren't always this appearance.
Weapons: I always have my trusty sword, and a few daggers handy if not hidden. You never know when s**t could hit the fan.
Personality: Initially, a complete goofball would be the best description. But in reality I'm quite intelligent, calm, and collected. I just have much more fun being silly! I mean honestly, who doesn't? Oh yes, don't piss me off unless you want to see some real ugliness. Trust me on this one. Oh! And don't mess with my crew, my friends, or me. It won't end well either.
Bio:   I'm honestly not quite sure to tell you the truth. I remember snippets here and there, but most is just.... blank. A family found me wandering the streets in a daze when I was younger and they took me in, God bless them. They were fisherman, and we lived by the ocean. I always did love the water. They raised me for a few more years until there was a nasty storm and I got washed away. Dunno what happened to them. A band of pirates found me, aaand they decided to keep me. Long story short, I ended up becoming Captain when the time came and a bunch more stuff happened aaaaand..... Here we are.
Other:   I don't suppose I really should talk about it, but I has magic. Not really sure how much or what the limits are, but I can do some things. But SHHH. I don't want to be burned or nothing.

Appearance: Piper
Weapons: A cutlass, two pistols and some other things.....
Personality: Piper is a free spirit. Nothing ever seems to trouble her. She is constantly curious and fascinated, though to everyone except the captain, it's hard to figure out why such a beautiful girl joined a pirate crew. Or at least that's what Piper hears all the time. She doesn't mind, so long as she isn't told what to do. Especially by her Captain. Then Piper is known to throw fits until the Captain brings her back in line, though just how is unknown.
Bio: Piper's past is unknown for the most part. At least to the crew. You see, Piper is actually a mermaid. When on land, their tails turn into legs. But when in water, their tails return. Mermaids have no control over this. Piper was living happily in the ocean until she was about 18. Around that age, she became curious of the world around her. Of course, mermaids don't live near populated areas. Then one day she was captured for her curiosity, and he extensive knowledge of the oceans. The captain who captured her struck a deal with their new prisoner. She would travel with them and see everything she was curious about, so long as she guided them. And if she kept that end of the deal, she would not be killed and her secret would remain safe...seeing as how mermaids are prize kills.

Name: Keely Haverson
Age: 24
Gender: female

Appearance: Keely (doesn't always dress quite like that)
Weapons: Sword, pair of pistols, a few dirks stashed here and there.
Personality: Kind, almost motherly to her crew, colder to outsiders. Generally non-violent, but don't tick her off or threaten her or her crew.
Bio: Keely's mother died when she was very little, leaving her to be raised by her father. He was a doctor in a small village, and life wasn't always easy for them, but he did the best he could. He taught Keely everything he could, and she loved learning about medicine and helping to care for their neighbors.

But after her father died a few years back, Keely found that, even though they had been willing to let her treat them before, now that she was a lone female doctor, almost no one was interested in coming to her anymore. So she left to try and find someplace more open and accepting, but just kept running into the same prejudices, making her rather jaded.

She eventually stumbled across a young lady pirate captain looking for a ship's doctor, and decided it was the best offer she'd had in a while...
