Lol I'm from Western Massachusettes and where I live we don't get much severe weather. Well surprise! A tornado swept through the city of Springfield which is next to where I live, and went right past my dad's office! So I'm huddled in the basement with two boys I babysit for watching this all unfold live on t.v. I call my sis and tell her to get all the pets and get in the basement.... so an hour later I finally get home and everyone including my dad are safley home..... well not even an hour later... we're packing up the dogs and cat and moving into the basement... another severe storm that may turn into a funnel is right over us. It thunders and pours So an hour passes things clear up... so my dad goes upstairs and starts cooking while we still stick around in the basement just in case.... 20 minutes later the news reports that another bad storm is heading over us in 30minutes so we race upstairs get my dad and go back to hiding... it's starts to thunder and pour again.. I go upstairs to get some food and look out the windows... the sky is a dark green like something from a horror movie.... the thunder rumbles and scared I run back to the basement (cuz i'm a chicken like that). We find out that many tornadoes have touched down all over western mass... talk about crazy ... one tornado is rare many tornadoes is like what the ******** were all going to die... so i just got up and listened to the news and western mass has an all clear for the bad weather as for boston area... good luck to them since the storms moved east.

Sorry for blabbing lol but I needed to post this. I'm sure you guys have more exciting stories to tell then mine XD but from western mass... thunderstorms and snow is about as good as it normaly gets

Wow! None of my stories are that interesting (or scary). Here in Southern California everyone gets freaked out when just a few sprinkles of rain fall for like...five minutes. So you can imagine how freaked everyone was when we got all that rain and snow this year.

The worst thing we have to fear here are earthquakes. I only live four miles from the San Andreas Fault and there have been some times when we've had some pretty interesting earth-shaking episodes, but luckily nothing too serious. One time a few years ago, we had a 5.4 earthquake that left a whole bunch of cracks in my wall in my room.

IT SNOWED !!! I live in southern ca but we didn't get anything, just alot of rain I heard. But when I was ten,I use to live in arvin(nice rural place to live in,very quiet) and the wind was blowing so hard,it was starting to take our neighbors wooden fence down. And whats worse is that I lived RIGHT next to a huge dirt field, near weirnly crt.I heard that you can get scarlet fever if you get some dust in your lungs.

Geese earthquakes are scary... I've only experienced one when I was ten and it was only a very minor one like not even a 2 on the charts lol. We have a very small line in massacchusettes but it's not like a giant overlap of earths crusts its more like a fracture in one of the crusts. The weather all over the U.S. has been crazy this year. We got over double the ammount of snow we normaly get in a year and not to mention the late start of spring.... I wonder what's going on with the Earth

Wow thats really scary.

I live in Arizona. We get...storms. No tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards(hahahahaha). Earthquakes are extremely rare and too minor to really worry about. You can't even tell there is an earthquake, that small. And thats only when there is a major earthquake somewhere else, like Mexico or California, and we get the aftershocks after they have already died down.

Our storms can get fairly bad, but not as bad as hurricanes. one year on my birthday, a large storm went through town. It knocked power out almost everywhere. My neighborhood got it bad; lightning hit power lines on a major roadway nearby, knocking down about 15 power poles and putting us without power for over 8 hours while they replaced them all. Another time when I was little, i was in my moms room watching tv with her and out the window we saw lightning hit one of the 3 palm trees in the backyard of a house behind us, surged through all three. It was scary and loud. Yet another time, lightning hit our back fence connecting to the neighbors house, a wooden fence, and let our dogs loose in the neighbors yard. I dont think we ever got that totally fixed(we moved).

Also, we have weird weather patterns. For example, when I was little, me and my older sis were playing in our backyard. She was on our swingset and i was standing by the door to our porch not 50 feet away. It was partly cloudy, yet where I was standing, it was raining enough to make my clothes wet, yet she was dry as a bone.
Last year our band had bad luck with the weird weather(I blame it on the fact we sucked. Not even God wanted to hear us, so He sent storms to shut us up). For example, we were warming up for a festival. When we got outside, we started stretching. It was partly cloudy, with threatening clouds in the far distance. We do 20 calf raises(up and down on your toes) then hold the last one for about 30 seconds. Right as we yelled "hold" a huge gust of wind blew through our stretching circle and knocked almost everyone off balance. It didn't stop blowing. It just blew harder and harder, at its height when we went to set up our warmup arc. It was so vicious that our sousas could barely put their instruments on. Our smallest sousa girl, about 5 feet tall and no more then 110 lbs, literally flew up into the air. Then our largest, a strong freshman wrestler who is about 6 feet tall and no less then 250 lbs, didn't go farther then 2 feet in about 10 minutes. It was hilarious. It was so bad that we all just gave up on standing at attention, because frankly it was like standing at attention while being blasted by rocket engines(that wind was hot too!) So we went inside into the auditorium. We went to get on the buses and had to use our hat boxes as umbrellas. It had suddenly started raining so hard that it was flooding the walkway between the buses and the band room(our fine arts hall is in a trench) We nearly had to rent a boat.

And its only snowed here like, twice in the past 17 years. Usually mid april-early may.

It was pretty funny. As funny as the mudpuddle of a football field and the tall sousa. He tried to jump over a huge mud puddle, cleared it, but slid into a smaller mud puddle on landing and ended up flying backwards into the big one.

Nah we're usually pretty boring. We just have stupid freshman and half our band is midget-sized. Seriously though, I'm the tallest person in our clari section right now at about 5'5". Oh and slip and slide tuba is related to one of our claris, the smallest girl in band who is under 5 ft. Like I said, he is about 6 ft. We aren't sure what happened in that gene poolXD

So the party last night was fun ^^ we played Man Hunt which is an extreme game of tag... I was running and i tripped over one of our trumpet players.... tore skin off my finger, skinned me knee and cracked a toe nail in half even though i was wearing shoes XD Game Over! lol after I got patched up we played poker, ate some junk food, ran around casting spells like we were wizards i of course said i was a dragon rider... so I had my dragon protecting me and I didn't need to run around. We then played Extreme hide and Seek called Whose the Rapist XD it was a fun night

i had just download this poem, when it hit. and as it passed i just kept reading it so i just want people know what kept me going, thanks heart

there something coming. can you feel it? the earth itself waits for you, beyond the watch the gods will offer you chances. i just want to be apart of it so badly my anticipation feel as if it will explode back into star dust. waking up is the easy part doing something different is something you have to force on yourself and the binds that hold you. it's hard, we are creatures of habit but that magics been stolen from us. we must have it back
