|- The Ace -|
Name: Basilisk
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Species: Snivy
Guild: Roaring Thunder
Rank: Novice
Moveset: Giga Drain | Leaf Blade | Grass knot | Hidden Power (Ice) | Glare | Iron Tail
Ability: Overgrow
Personality: Cunning and smart, he is one who would rather take you down with his mind than his muscle. He prefers to do things himself, with occasional help from Ren. He's a smarta** sometimes, and even very sarcastic. He would best be described as being like a deck of cards - you'll never know what you'll get. Sometimes you'll get the worst out of the deck, and sometimes you'll get all aces.
Bio: Ever since he was born he had been on his own. He was the only one in his nest, or at least the only one who survived. He found egg shells everywhere, and he could only come to two conclusions- Either they hatched before him, or they were eaten. This was not his parents doing, he could tell, but probably another snakes. Later on he found the bladed tail of a Seviper cut off and abandoned on the ground, and a piece of a red fang. A Seviper is nothing without its weapons, as it cannot hunt for food without them, and by his colors and the closeness to the nest he could tell these were his mothers. She had either died of starvation or from that very same fight. He had also found a deceased Serperior, claw marks all over his body. He had concluded this was not one, but multiple culprits. He had figured it out- a band of Zangoose had done it. He held a hatred for them from that day, even going so far as trying to hunt them down and making them pay for what they did.
He did lots of snooping, he found it was a roaming band of Zangoose that came and left like a passing wind. He made it his goal to find them and exact his revenge on them ever since then. He had no more home, no more family, no friends or possessions. If he died along the way, who would miss him? Would it really matter to anybody, if anything it was a favor to bring him back to his family. He packed nothing, actually making a box for the eggshells and the blade and fangs and burying them near his nest. Same thing for the deceased Serperior, which he had to build a really big box for...all worth it to him.
He left, making a vow to never turn back, only go forwards. He had become extremely lonely, his only company was a deck of cards he made out of dry wood he had found once. He made his own games, he played popular and non popular ones, and he found that the only way to free himself, if only for a few moments, were the cards. He couldn't take a vacation, as much as he wished to he had a personal task to fulfill. His distractions became his vacations, and a short break was a whole day on the beach for him. He could feel that with every passing day he was getting closer, Snivy were known for their speed and he was trying to use all of it. Then there came the day he met Ren
He was walking through a dead forest, hoping to make it out to the other side quickly, when she came. She had come up behind him, only her eyes were visible. She snickered as she passed through him, making his body go cold as she did so. It wasn't really the most pleasant feeling, that of something going through you. She let out a loud scream, one that could scare anyone who heard it and saw only the gleaming eyes from which it came. Basilisk, however, was not amused. Instead, he made the ghost show itself, and he made a deal with it. They would play a game of cards, if he won, she had to join him in his travels, and if she won then she could take his soul from him. She agreed, she herself quite the card shark, thinking it would be an easy win.
She was completely off. Basilisk won, it was a hard round but nothing that he couldn't get. True to her word, the Misdreavus began to follow him. She didn't like it at first, but after two years of being together she learned to live with it. She was always curious why he had asked her to go with him, even if she dragged him down, but he never answered that question. He only told her to move forwards, move faster, because they were almost there.
He had considered it for awhile, and after careful thought he decided to start a rescue team with her. He wanted to prevent what happened to him from happening to anyone else, and maybe this way he could find those fiends who made him this way. Ren had no say in it, since even if she disagreed she still had to follow him wherever he went. Thus, team trickster was born
Appearance: The usually bright green parts of a Snivy are now dark gray, the underside of his tail all dark red. There is a purple band right at the tip of his tail, right before the leaf sprouts, which he thinks means he got some of his coloring from his mother. His yellow and cream parts remain the same, and the sides of his tail leaf are somewhat sharper than usual.
