I was meditating last night.

Simply because I had a lot on my mind and I couldn't sleep at all.

I don't meditate much, But when I am meditating I count from 1 to 50 or 100 while I am breathing slowly. So I get focussed on my breathing and not on my thoughts.

Thing is, sometimes while meditating I get in this kind of strange state where it feels like you are falling down, (still with the eyes closed of course). It makes me feel small.

After a while as I went deeper and deeper into the meditation I got this really weird feeling like my whole body was spinning super fast. It freaked me out and I opened my eyes, realizing I had been gone for 30 minutes.

Afterwards I felt really sensitive, and I remember during the meditating my body started to feel a little bit odd. A sort of tingly feeling, I don't know how else to explain it. Not to mention weird images but that just can be my imagination. And afterwards I felt só tired.

Anyway, that feeling really freaked me out, I tried to google it but it doesn't give me any information about it. Or I am just searching wrong.

Sometimes about opening up your chakra's things like that.

Is it just a state of meditation? I believe it is, but it makes me feel really uncomfortable.

Other than the images it sounds like you have equilibrium problems. Some people, when they close their eyes for prolonged periods of time, in the upright position, they basically black out. It can cause you to become nauseous, dizzy.

Taking it from the view of meditation...it's not normal nor should it be happening. If it's causing you to feel uncomfortable, you need to stop.

Equilibrium problems? I wasn't aware of that.

Never knew it could cause problems by closing the eyes for prolonged periods of time.

I never blacked out tho.

Not quite blacking out, but losing track of fairly significant amounts of time.

I worked with one girl who would stumble, even fall if she didn't catch herself in time, just by closing her eyes for much more than a blink. didn't cause any problems while she was lying down though.

Well, thing is, if I go to sleep and close my eyes I have no problem with it, no matter how long I have my eyes closed.

But when I am meditating it's different and I got that spinning feeling.

It cooould be related to sleep deprivation, if you'd been awake for quite a while. I know I have weird spinny problems if I try to meditate while really tired. The other things you mention are sort of more interesting, but the actual thing you asked about, not sure. Make a note of it and see what you come across in the future.

That falling down thing, like vertigo? could be related to the setting in of trance states.

Now this tingly feeling, question, did it feel like you were filled with gold sparks or light?

They were more short images that barely ever cross my mind. But maybe If I do write them down, who knows. (:

That tingly feeling, well, with gold or light, I don't know. I guess that is a big word. I felt it really strong on my fingertips and my toes/feet and on my arms. I'm not sure how to explain it.

It was more like that tingly feeling you get while doing something with energy or reiki.
