Manelesi liked watering holes for a lot of reasons. The first one, of course, is that they were full of water. Water was good for many things, like cleaning up and drinking. The second thing he liked about watering holes was that they were reflective, perfect for admiring his oh-so-handsome physique. He had nice lines, nice tone . . . a handsome fellow, all around.
The third, and perhaps most important thing he liked about watering holes was that everyone eventually came there. Including the ladies. Like this fine pink one walking up now.
"Well, hel-lo, lovely."
Never let it be said that Manelesi wasted a minute.

Her head dropped just a little at the words that touched her ears, a half laugh slipped out before she lifted her gaze to the cheetah, who was handsome she supposed, though she most likely didnt think he was as handsome as he thought it was.
"Hello." Her words her to the point, she wasted no engery in something that wasn't vital. Not anymore, she felt no reaso to. She made her way towards the water, careful to keep an eye on any crocs or other predators that might be looking for a snack.

Manelesi sat quietly for a minute or two, apparently waiting for the lioness to say more. Not a talker? That was ok, he could talk for both of them.
"It's awfully hot today, isn't it? Everyone's coming out to the water hole for refreshment. It's nice to see the savannah filled with such beauty as yourself, otherwise dominated by dull grass and foul smelling giraffes. But you are like a perfect sunset, a jewel of beauty preserved for the admiration of all. Might I ask your name?"
