Every time she met a Kalona, every time they would turn her away because she was a lesser, Zillah snorted rearing and ramming her forehooves against a tree. The tree was old and solid but still buckled against the force of her hooves shaking leaves free. They all looked down at her never even giving her a chance to prove herself; she wasn't shy or weak like most of her kind like her mother, ugh. Her family was pathetic she long ago left them and disowned them weak and loving, she was hard and cold loving all things that most would fear. Curse this simple blood of hers, she felt trapped, trapped in the body of the wrong soquili...
Zillah's four hooves slid back to the forest floor, taking a deep breath she glanced around there was no one, the forest grew silent after the sound of her hooves on the, with a snort Zillah moved forward again frustrated and angry. How would she EVER be able to prove her lineage stronger than Antirrs’ if she couldn't even find a temporary partner that wouldn't continue to look down on her for her putrid blood? One way or another she would have her revenge against that stallion that embarrassed her.
Oh how miserable she was at this moment.

Chloros' eyes snapped open at a large cracking sound. Reflexes as quick as ever, the Kalona jumped up and pushed himself against the cliff face he had been dosing against, ready to defend himself against an unseen aggressor. A quiet but wicked chuckle taunted him from the shadows of the trees. The kalona snarled at the sound, but let himself relax. Olive green eyes peered out at him, amusement dancing within. "A wee bit jumpy, no?" "If is was you that woke me up, Iodos, I will...." But there were no threats to offer. Iodos was the spirit of a bat Chloros had once snacked on. The creature had taken a liking to him prior to death, and had taken to following him around. "Wasn't me, no no." The bat replied from his upside-down perch. "Well, go find out what it was." Chloros sighed, annoyed that he his nap had been disturbed. "I don't want to be surprised by some hungry Skinwalker." Iodos flew off, his translucent body flying through the very tree trunks themselves. Chloros busied himself by stretching his wings. If Iodos came back squeaking a warning, he wanted to be ready to fly off as fast as possible. But Iodos didn't come back in a frantic hurry. The bat flitted around Chloros' head before hanging himself from a branch."Can't see very well in the daylight, but it was brown. Smaller than you too. Maybe a deer." Accepting the bat's poor daylight vision (it was generally superb once night fell) rather than rebuking him for it, Chloros nodded. The deer had probably been testing his horns on some defenseless tree. The kalona snorted. Young bucks were careless and brash. They often made easy prey. At the thought of a fresh meal, his stomach growled. "A deer, you say? I could do with an early dinner. Lead me, will you?" The bat silently took off, Chloros quietly trotting behind him. He was careful to avoid the dead leaves littering the ground, and kept his wings tucked in close to his body so as to prevent them from brushing up against any stray branches. Iodos stopped and attached himself to a tree, signaling that they had reached the prey's destination. Chloros smirked at him and peaked through the trees, trying to spot the deer. But what his eyes locked on was not a deer, but rather a brown coloured mare. A feral grin made its way up the kalona's mouth. This was far better than any deer to snack on. Chloros shook out his mane and slowly stepped out into the clearing, making as much noise as possible in order to prevent the mare from being spooked by his sudden appearance. His eyes softened, his mouth turned upwards in a warm smile. It was game on. "Afternoon, my dear." He purred. "What brings you into these parts of the woods all alone?"

Zillah heard the approaching soquili long before so being rather unsurprised once a stallion stepped into view Zillah tensed upon realizing it was a Kalona, he was wearing a kind smile and showing only soft eyes. Zillah prepared for a fight. no doubt the fact she was just a mare he figured she would be an easy snack, "Is that always how you address a prospective meal?" she laughed coldly voice dripping with sarcasm, his intention known to her. Kalona saw her instantly as a quick meal, thinking she was unable to defend herself just because she was smaller than them. "I am not some simple mare whom you can lull into feeling safe only to tear them apart once you get close." she growled before continuing.
"I'll tell you this Kalona, I'm in a foul mood, don't try to be sweet, I know your kind..." Zillah took a bold step forward; there wasn't a trace of fear emanating from her but a deadly aura. "If you must know before we fight and I defeat you like others of your kind, I was hunting for someone of your blood,” she paused “ however you seem like the others... foolish and underestimating of the prey you have chosen." here they go again. Zillah was so tired of this, he would be like the others and she was right angry about it. She wouldn't try and convince this one she would just kill him.

Chloros' instinctual reaction was to snarl at her words. He was the one to toy, not the one to be toyed with. But he swallowed the snarl best he could, letting only the faintest twitch of his lip escape his restraint. So the mare had seen through his act. No matter. His sheer size and strength could overpower her anyways. He also had the advantage of wings. Hovering in the air, he could easily knock her cold with his sharp cloven hooves. The only other Soquili he feared were his fellow Kalonas and Skinwalkers. Those knights were sometimes a problem, due to the fact that their armour often protected them from his blows. But even they weren't much more than a nuisance. Besides, others had seen through his charade before and they had met the same fate. While he was slightly surprise that she had caught him so quickly, it was nothing he couldn't recover from. His muscles tensed, and Chloros readied himself to leap in the middle of her speech. More often than not, Soquili were off their guard while talking. Talking was a social habit, and usually distracted the talker from the events at hand to some degree. But the mare's last words caught his attention. She had been hunting Kalona? An had she just called him foolish. His eyes narrowed and he lifted himself up to full height. Chloros let him wings unfurl a tiny bit, adding to the size of his body and giving the illusion that he was bigger. "You dare insult me, mare? You dare disrespect ones more powerful than yourself?" He snarled. "Whatever Kalonas you have defeated must have been weak indeed, an they have fed an ego that is too large for that little body of yours. It is you who are the foolish one, mare, and I should feast on your pitiful little brain for being so." Chloros stamped his hooves a few times to relieve himself of the anticipation of a fight. His wings settled back into their placec against his body, an he lowered his head slightly to better meet her gaze. "However, what you have said interests me so. I am a stallion of opportunity and intellect, not some bloodthirsty monster." By definition, Chloros was a bloodthirsty monster, but not in the way many others perceive. He did kill simply to kill. And while he wanted to tear this mare's head off for her words, he restrained himself. "You say you have been looking for a Kalona?" Chloros began to slowly circle the mare, unsure if she was hunting them for blood or for a service. "May I ask why? It is not everyday that members of your kind actively seek out Kalonas." He was genuinely interested in this turn of events, and was eager to find out if he could benefit from them.

He was angry, good so was she "I offer disrespect since I see none coming from you," Zillah continued “you assume, I am weak and foolish like most of my kind both of which I am not.” She simply explained still knowing a Kalona would never respect one of her blood, perhaps someone with wings or horns but she had none but her own strength which she trained always. She said no more and let him rant, perhaps they were but they still died, and that left Zillah contented.
A nibble? He was curious why she was hunting his kind this one wasn't shooting her down completely he seemed more intelligent than the others. Despite her anger at the others she must keep a level head perhaps this one would help her if she played her cards right. Zillah stayed on her guard keeping a wary eye on the stallion as he circled and moving with him, not allowing her back to be exposed if he couldn't tell already she was a seasoned warrior.
An ever so slight smirk crept across her muzzle "Then I shall tell you why I actively seek your kind, I bare a grudge," that was all it was a grudge against a stallion she'd love to kill. But she must explain else the Kalona might get the wrong idea "Not to you or your kind but a stallion of normal ancestry." She paused before allowing a little of inner anger to taint her voice “He wronged me, and I will see to it him and his brood erased from this land,” Zillah continued following the Kalona's movements.
"Put simply I wish my children to hold the blood of your race, despite my attempts to prove myself worthy all seems to have fallen on deaf ears... Will you be different?" The question hung in the air as she waited for his response and depending on it, things may end badly for one or both of them.

Chloros could only blink. He quickly worked the situation out in his head, trying to be sure he knew exactly what the mare was asking. So a stallion had wronged her. Interesting indeed, but Chloros didn't feel like prying. Nor did it really matter to him. Never before had he needed an excuse for destruction and chaos. he wouldn't need one now either. Her passion for revenge was obvious, and he could see that it quite possibly fueled her very existence. Or at least, fed into a much darker being lurking inside. She was not like other mares he had met before. That is, plain mares. So the girl wanted revenge. And she wanted it through children? A very twisted idea indeed. Twisted and intriguing. The thought of corrupting the most innocent of creatures to become mere killing machines was thrilling. Normally, Chloros couldn't play all that much with foals due to their parents and protective herds. But with his own...there would be nothing to stop him. This was turning out to be a very good day for him. But was this mare worthy enough? She was dark, and it appeared she did not hold many of the romantic misconceptions that others of her gender did. It seemed that the mare had the heart of a true Kalona, but without the dangerous horns and brute strength. Excellent. While he preferred dealing with meek and gullible mares, it might be fun to switch the game up every once and a while. And this did look like it would turn out to be quite a fun game. But games had to have rules, guidelines, and boundaries. He would need to know more before he started playing. Chloros stopped his circling and smirked at the mare. "Well, don't you seem to be...different from the others. You may call me Chloros. I'll bit on your little hook, if just for a little while. " The Kalona wanted it to be clear that he hadn't agreed yet. The proverbial ball was in his court right now, and he didn't want it getting out. "I give you children of my Kalona blood, and you use them to get your sweet revenge. But tell me, mare, what do I profit from this bargain? What are my benefits?"

Zillah gave a light snort At least on the outside she didn't look that much different, and it frustrated her to no end, but he was still talking and although he hadn't agreed he wanted something more, that was understandable. "Depends everyone wants something different.” Once again he had an advantage, she had to do whatever it took to make things work and it seemed work she would do.
"Well then Chloros, I am Zillah." She then thought about for a few moments of what she could offer. “I could hunt for you, say some pretty little soquili or other beast might find its way to you alive or dead depending on your preference.” she paused “Unless that is, there is something more you desire?” Zillah had no qualms about killing if it got her what she needed, besides all those who are weak should die or be eaten.
A thought came to her “A chance to corrupt innocents, would that not be a benefit?” she asked keeping her eye on the stallion “your Brood would cause all sorts of chaos once my revenge is complete.” Another pause “Then again perhaps you could educate one such as myself to what your true enjoyment is?” This may give her an edge to where she could find another benefit for the stallion so she would be able to persuade him more so if this wasn’t enough already.
