Azzo had stopped in at one of his favorite haunts to get food. It was dark and the shop was one of those few that stayed open late at night, despite the trouble caused at night. He'd picked up a box of sweets, mostly cookies, some cinnamon rolls and cup cakes (they were piled high with frosting and sprinkles).
He was walking out cappuccino in hand humming as he strolled down the street. He'd get a safe distance away and change so he could patrol like he was getting into a habit of doing.

Zia was just coming back from an unpleasant experience, hoping to grab onto some kind of employment again by finally sucking up and groveling to her boss and after a few hours of negotiation she was an odd combination of humbled, humiliated, and proudly triumphant all at once. She'd had to grovel a little, Zirconia might've helped out with the 'assertive' part of calling him out on his BS and actually proving she wasn't the meek little waif she'd originally come across as. And ultimately, the outlook was good, not just for avoiding her father's wrath on the subject, but for her to actually start working again.
But this sneaking around her dad to get to his friend all for a job and the hours of arguing about it lead to a late night drive home and a craving for a caffeine fix.
Heading down towards a little place she knew would be open this late, she thought she caught a glimpse of someone familiar and stopped just short of the shop, looking back to double check. "Azzo!" She called out after she'd confirmed her suspicion and was in the process of getting out of the parked Sedan. "Hi!"

Azzo turned around, "huh?" He paused seeing Zia. "Oh hey!" He chuckled moving back to her, he'd actually been wanting to run into her since his chat with ********* heard from a cat you were down in the dumps." He said when he got closer not wanting to yell. "So I've been wondering ever since how thing's are going."
He gave a grin before going back to being serious. "Want some coffe or something? I'd just left but I can fork out some cash so you can get something and we can talk." He offered with a smile.

"...********* was a weird tone, like a movie caricature from an action flick swearing vengeance. Between the two personalities, Zia's thankfulness and appreciation for ********* and Zirconia's irrational dislike, it was a sort of confusing, but platonic love-hate feeling that was brought to the surface every time she thought of the round little guardian.
"I can get something, thanks for the offer, though," Zia said, trying to smile as pleasantly as possible after her Zirconian slip. After grabbing a cappuccino and a pastry filled with dark chocolate, she was happy to step back out and lean on her car. "You want a ride to wherever you're going?" She asked, figuring it might be at least polite. "Or we could walk for a while."

"Yes, but she wouldn't say why." He added, to make sure she knew, "Figured I could ask you myself when I ran back into you." He smiled softly. Waiting for her while standing near her car. He wasn't about to lean on it.
He nodded, "Anytime." He added when she said she could get something. It was habit more or less to offer to buy others food. It didn't take her that long, which was the good thing about it being night time. Hardly anyone was out. "Oh, I was going to walk around the block, stretch my legs." He told her with a shrug, "It's not like I'm going to run into any Youma or Nega-agents." He joked trying to hold a serious face.

"I could only be so vague. It's not my place to break Ares' veil of secrecy," Zia shrugged, lifting the cappuccino to her lips.
She nodded at the stretching legs bit, but stood up to cease her leaning. "Let's walk for a bit then. But don't jinx it," She snorted, trying to sound playful on the whole youma and nega agents bit, but she wasn't powered up and that always brought about some uneasiness about the dulled radar she'd come to rely on as far as avoiding hostiles.

Azzo's head tilted, "Oh? How is Ares?" He asked curiously, "Better yet how are all of you doing?" Hoping she didn't mind the question but he was sorta worried about them, "Its been a while since I've seen any of you I started to get a bit worried."
He nodded and chuckled, "If I jinx it I can handle it." He said with a 'tough guy' grin. "After all what's a monster hunter if he can't handle monsters?" He gave a shrug still, "Besides some of the nega-officers I've meet lately haven't appeared to be in a 'kill the civilian' mood." He hummed soft for a second before looking back at Zia.

"Hmm..." Zia just seemed to fall into silent thought at the question. It probably wouldn't be wise to talk about the Blood Moon Court and the schism that they were currently suffering, mostly due to Ares' ambitions. Saying it was 'classified' would just bring about more questions.
"They're fine. Functioning," She answered curtly and turned her attention to the subject of negaversers.
"Surprising. I haven't run in to too many, though," She shrugged. The benefit of a cat's radar was being able to avoid officers, though, Zirconia's ego still sent them towards youma ever since her first encounter had her... surviving. Still, after Operation Rota, she couldn't see the Negaverse being especially charitable.
"Mmmhm," His tough guy grin was met with unamused eye rolling, like he'd just told a dumb joke.

Azzo frowned slightly when the answered curtly, "Well what about you?" He asked looking at her sideways, wondering if she was okay since she only answered they were functioning.
His head tilted, "There's a few decent ones, I think they just ended up on the wrong side." He offered to her, when she said surprising, "Scheelite's been sorta odd for a super villain to start with. He doesn't fit the type really, I'm not sure how he got mixed up in it."
He smiled, "Well lets find a youma and I'll prove it to you." He saw her unamused eye roll. He could show it wasn't completely a dumb joke, though he didn't want to just out and out say he was a knight either, thinking it'd still be more interesting to 'save' the day.

"I've been... fine, I guess," She mumbled, looking down at the styrofoam to-go cup. She wasn't about to dump her whole moral dilemmas and all that crazy on him. It was unfair enough to do it to Chris and she was used to dumping inordinate amounts of crazy on his shoulders over the years.
"I.. haven't met Scheelite," She mumbled. She hadn't exactly 'met' anyone, except Painite. She knew of plenty of them but there was a difference between meeting and 'overseeing/covering up their captivity'.
"Ha. Ah ha ha," It was a stilted, sarcastic laugh followed by finishing off her pastry. "Let's not. I don't think I have enough energy to save your butt tonight," She teased.

Azzo looked at her skeptically eyes narrowed, "Uh-huh..." He shrugged, "If you say so."
He paused, "Scheelite's pretty cool, he gets a little over excited about stuff that glows. I think he'd play fetch with a glow stick if you threw it." Azzo shook his head chuckling, "In some ways he seems like a little kid, but he's probably as old as any of the other teens running around in uniforms."
Azzo frowned, "Actually I think you'd like him. Once you get past the fact he's a nega-agent of course."
He lofted a brow having plucked out half of a cookie and finishing it, "You really have a lot of faith don't you?" He asked looking a little hurt. "I've been taking kick boxing lessons, I'm not totally defenseless anymore. I don't have to be thrown through mirrors to be saved anymore at least." He still thought that was one of the weirdest things besides a talking cat.
He took a moment when she wasn't looking to shift, placing his hands behind the back of his head. She'd probably notice his power signal first. "Besides, I totally don't think you understand that I can at least hold my own. Maybe not destroy a youma without a few extra tools... but still." There was a distinct jingling noise coming from his side. She startled him when they first met, it was only fair to give her a start now too.

There was that mutant signature again, but definitely not Chris's. Zee whirled around to see Nifhel standing there and reacted by throwing the (mostly) empty to-go cup into the pavement.
"Oh are you ******** kidding me?" She snarled, quite definitely channeling pure Zirconia right now, looking like a child ready to stamp her foot. "Was there some epidemic that altered everyone's DNA that I don't know abo--" She stopped mid sentence and glared, narrowing her eyes as she stared for a long moment before invading Azzo's personal space, getting close and coming just a microscopic distance away from the symbol of Saturn on his collar.
"That's a symbol of Cronus," She stated, very sure of it. "Why are you wearing that?" She sounded almost insulted, like he didn't have the right. Even if he was a mutant... not-human... thingy, he was definitely not allowed to remind her of her lost baby Cronus, intentionally or not.

Azzo blinked as she totally went off. Well maybe this wasn't the pay back he'd wanted he almost flinched when she got into his personal space looking at her eyes. "Epidemic?" He looked a little confused, "What do you mean?"
Obviously he only knew two knights existed, only him and Camelot. "Maybe because here it's the symbol of Saturn?" He bit the inside of his lower lip as she seemed insulted. "Come on Zee-... er Zirconia... er whoever you are at the moment... It's not like I asked for this to happen" He offered lamely he had a feeling it was more Zirconia than Zee.
"It just sorta hit me in the head." It had, indeed hit him in the head very literally. The soft glow from the broach illuminated her face and probably made it a little more scary.
A shadow paused looking around for the source of the sudden energy spark. It's tail flickered as it wiggled to life heading towards whatever was saying 'hey come get me'. Hoping to get the drop on an unsuspecting powered individual, there was a soft hiss. It wanted a midnight snack...

"...Saturn."
Cronus's equivalent.
Removing herself from his face she just sighed, shoulders slumping and looking a bit mournful at the dredged up memories she allowed thanks to jumping to conclusions and wishful thinking. Her initial reaction was that Azzo was a poser, using a symbol without permission, but in the back of her mind, just a little part, had jumped in glee that something from home had managed to get to the other side.
She so desperately wanted to see home again.
"Sorry," She muttered, but still keeping an air of suspicion about her as she glanced at the strange uniform and committed his odd signature to memory. "That still doesn't explain why you're a mutant," She huffed.
She was about to harp on that mutant-y thing more when she tuned in to a soft his and was railed by a faint signature, snapping around to look around and over her shoulder. "Do you feel that?"

Azzo nodded, tilting his head at her. "Well... I'm not sure either." He held up his chain, "This sorta showed up and smacked me in the head and when I touched it.... I.. uhh... mutantfied.... although now I feel like part of the xmen."
He blinked, when she asked if he felt that. Looking around he frowned. "I... can't track youma anymore..." He muttered not feeling anything so assuming that what it was... He was looking where she was.
The youma slithered along occasionally taking the time to smell out where it was headed. Picking up the pace it rounded the corner and hissed seeing Niflhel and a human. A midnight snack... how lovely for the youma.
