Love stories had slipped away. It was hard to get alone time now that he was supposed to be babysitting... Ok... that was the wrong way to look at that. He huffed. Maybe the correct way was...it was hard to get away from training.
Carefully Love walked to the border of the land he and Carnivore had claimed. He glanced back just to make sure that he wasn't being followed by the boy. And now... he ran. Straight into the hell herd's land. He hit the stream and drank deeply... enjoying his alone time.

With a sigh of contempt, the mare spat out the mouthful of grass onto the ground, gnashing her teeth together to try to get rid of the bitter taste. Stupid grass. Stupid gas. Stupid world. She couldn't even eat without being plagued by the horrors of Hell, couldn't even breathe without toxic gas corroding her airways countless times over.
She hated this place. In Hell at least she had known why she was there. There was a reason to her punishment, and the punishments were clear. But why was she given a second chance if only to come to this god-forsaken place, a place she had long cast away from her memory? The sweet air, the fresh taste of grass, the calming water. All was here. Yet she could enjoy none of it.
Snorting, she turned around. Today the mare was in one of her... calmer moods. Insanity hung at the back of her mind like a dark cloud, but it did not turn into the relentless storm it could become. At least not yet. For now, her rational mind had some claim over her body.
And then she saw him. Lurking about by her herd's river. She peeled back her lips over her teeth in a snarl. "You!" She hissed, already moving towards him, her hooves glowing gently against the ground with an odd fluorescence. "You are trespassing." But her rationale held her back, stopped her from screaming a deathly noise and charging at the stranger.

Love looked up from his quiet daydreaming. He shook his head to clear it. He looked down at the water and sighed. He was so tired recently... He really needed to get more sleep. Stupid little colt kept bothering him to teach him more. At least when Carnivore was in control.
He looked over his shoulder at the mare as she approached him. She had a strange look about her... She was...coming at him and talking about trespassing. he sighed. Well it was true what she said. But he couldn't bring himself to care.
"So? Are you border patrol?" He knew he could take the mare if it came to a fight. He was after all, a war horse. "I won't stay long... im just enjoying the cool water and the lovely scent floating in the breeze... It doesn't seem to reach my home."

The stallion's attitude towards her seemed almost... arrogant. Pressing her ears back flat against her skull, the mare glared at him scornfully. "I do as my alpha commands." In truth, she wasn't on any patrol. The Hell herd seemed almost sloppy in that respect. Then again, their blood-crazed ways scared most others away.
Already she could feel the stirrings of irritation, pulling like strings against the clouds of madness that threatened to overwhelm her mind at any moment. But the blood lust was not yet awoken. "You will leave now. You may be stronger physically, but my toxins will leave you weak for days." Almost on cue, green smoke began to curl it's way through the air around her nostrils.
"Besides, the air is tainted and the water bitter." Resentment filled her voice, lacing it with poison.

Love stories when it came to mares was usually very romantic... however something rubbed him the wrong way about this mare. Since hanging out with Carnivore he had heard horrible things about this herd.
He flicked his tail. "I am sorry to disappoint you... but i am simply getting a drink of freshwater." He glaanced over his shoulder and frowned. "You can feel free to take a sip of water while you wait for me to be finished. "
Love who was very much the romantic.... didn't feel his heart skip a beat as she moved and the air in his lungs was fine. He sighed. Maybe he was loosing his head.

No, no, no! The gray haze was slowly settling over her brain, spreading its creeping tendrils into all her thoughts. Madness would have its hold again soon. Yet Poison Ivy resisted. Damn this place to Hell! Even her mind, the one thing she had managed to conserve somewhat in that wretched place, was no longer her own.
"You will leave now!" Her voice was louder, laced with power. The mare was not as strong physically as this stallion, but she was by no means weak either. Not to mention she was fast and lithe, and her poisons killed others slowly. Yet the sweet taste of blood already played over her lips. Her teeth gnashed together, the wistfully memory toying with her senses. But no... there was no blood! Get a grip. No blood. No blood for you! Her mind screamed back at the madness, yet the frenzy was thickening.
"I do not enjoy your waters!" A strange gleam filled her eyes, a gleam that had naught to do with the strange bioluminescence that graced her hooves and eyes. "Leave!"

With an indigent flick of his tail he stamped his front hoof to the ground. The effort left a hoof print embedded in the soft soil. "Fine" Rearing he turned and started walking toward the border. He didn't fight women... and that meant he did what they asked...demanded. With a flick of his ears and then his tai he was galloping back over his border.
