Hug-bell was walking along the sidewalk trying to be sneaky as she moved. She felt something near by and she wasn't sure what it was. She didn't want to run into Wolfy again but this didn't seem like a negaverse officer.

The first thing that poked around the corner of the building she'd taken shelter behind was the bear ears of her hoodie, then the star dangling and finally butter yellow eyes were watching an older man. With a shield, she seemed confused as she watched him.

The Page of Camelot was sore and battered. He had a bruised face and the arm behind his shield was broken, though the cast seemed to have disappeared. It was mostly hidden, anyway, but he was sure if an enemy managed to hit it things would go poorly and fast. His whole body ached, bruises discoloring the skin under his knightly clothes, mostly on his back and side. Two cracked ribs were still burning under his skin, though it had been a day since he had been to the hospital.

That fight with Zircon could have killed him. He had gotten himself thrown down a flight of stairs, and was only lucky that he hadn't cracked his skull open. Or she hadn't finished the job.

He did not blame his decisions in the fight, the conversation they had. Rather, he blamed his inability to hold his ground. His own physical weakness and inexperience. He needed to get better at what he was doing.

So. He was in this alley. Hoping to be alone. Fighting with himself.

He had seen training montages in many films, but real life did not work like they did. No time lapse to help him skip over the difficulty of actually training. No thematic music spurring him on. He was tired and he'd only been out a half hour if he was generous. But he was injured.

He felt a spark in the back of his mind and looked over his shoulder. He saw the hood and his eyebrows lifted. A youma? No. Felt like a senshi. He relaxed when he saw the innocent eyes staring up at him, and offered her a thin smile.

"Hello."

Hug-bell stayed where she was for a moment still watching him as he noticed her and then said hello. "Hi..." She replied back before noticing he looked pretty hurt, finally stepping out into full view she was looking at him.

"What are you?" The child questioned as she walked around him a second pausing curiously to stare at his shield, "You don't feel like a senshi or a negaverse officer." She informed him, unaware if he knew this or not.

Obviously this was new to the child and made her curious, she was looking up at him. "Also what were you doing?" The little one seemed to have many questions for Camelot, not to mention the fact he was hurt but she'd probably address that soon enough too.

The Knight was getting fairly used to people asking him what he was, rather than who, and he smiled at her when she asked.

"My name is Camelot," he said, instead of just explaining the what. He offered her his hand to shake. It was always easier to be less awkward around kids, in a way. Still, he had to wonder how such young people were becoming senshi. He had seen them before, in that dream world, and it had bothered him deeply to see such a broad range of ages fighting.

All too young, as far as he was concerned.

"I'm a Knight. A Page, I guess. I'm like you, but... a little different," a general and vague thing to say, but he didn't think she would really call him out on his less than specific answer. Anyway, he didn't know too much about himself, either, though he was learning more and more.

Particularly following that fight with Zircon.

"I was trying to... ah... do a bit of training. Practice," he looked a little embarrassed that she had spotted him. "What are you doing out here on your own? Are you patrolling alone?" He didn't sound like he liked the idea, his tone very much like one a father would use on a child making the wrong decision.

Hug-bell smiled, "I'm Chibi Super Hug-bell." She giggled, "Nice to meet you Camelot." However her eyes grew wide in curiosity. "A knight? Like from the story books?"

She was still looking at him, "You don't have a sword." She seemed a bit disappointed but that was soon forgotten. "Oh, that's a hard thing to do by yourself." She said with a small frown, "Have you watched power rangers? They might can help." She smiled with a small twist. "I've been trying to learn how they do their moves. It's harder than it looks."

She paused, there it went again. "Yes... sorta... I was looking for bullies." She answered placing her hands behind her back. "I sorta heard about a bunch of senshi being super mean to the negaverse and I've been wanting to chat with them. Even though I've been told it's dangerous someone needs to explain to them that torturing and starving the negaverse officers aren't something they should be doing." She paused, "I'm being careful though! I don't want to run into Wolframite again while he's upset."

The child gave a distinct nod she knew how horrible the Negaverse could be when they wanted to. "See the bullies sorta got Wolframite thinking we're all the same and to prove him we're not I want to talk to the others and hope they understand they're being bullies." She smiled brightly.

"Can I help you train?" She asked suddenly hoping the older man wouldn't scold her too much.

"Chibi Super..." Camelot repeated, having not heard a name like that before. But he nodded his head and smiled. She seemed just as innocent as Ainsley did, and her question about him being a knight from a story book reminded him of her. And pretty much everyone else, really, because many people made that association.

He chuckled.

"You could say that," he said, with a nod, "though I'm more like you. Not a senshi, but close enough. Ah... no... no sword. Just a shield." He showed her the sad, old looking shield, smoothing his hand over it with a certain kind of affection. Though it often broke and he thought it useless when he most needed a weapon, it had still begun his adventure, and he treasured it for that.

"Bullies? Hmm," he said, frowning at her words. He shook his head, though, not following. Even so, there was an important piece of information. "You're alone. Out doing something that sounds reasonably dangerous..."

Shouldn't kids, even kid senshi, have chaperons?

"Oh, if you'd like to help me. I'm not sure what I'm doing, to be honest. Just hoping to uhm... have a spark of genius and figure this whole... fighting... thing out..." He looked embarrassed.

Hug-bell nodded, "I think, I'm a Chibi 'cause I'm so young. The older ones don't have Chibi tacked onto their name." She tried to explain hoping she was right.

"Oh, awesome." She tilted her head, "Maybe because you still have to train before you can use a real sword?" She wasn't sure but it seemed like to her, a reasonable explanation.

She nodded, "Yes, Bullies." She smiled, "They're just senshi that are being super mean to the Negaverse. I can ********* if I need help." She tried to reassure him.

The child giggled at him. "Don't worry I can help!" She took his hand, "Lets go find a youma. They're easier to train on. Maybe we'll be lucky and find a scrawny little one."

The Page of Earth nodded his head. He knew, at least, that the older senshi weren't called Chibi. It made sense, now that he was hearing the official title for the first time, that it applied to younger senshi. Still, he would have liked it better if there were no Chibi senshi. Hell, even the 'normal' ones were too young for his liking.

He smiled, though, his expression warm.

Though he had a kid, he had never been able to raise a child. He only met his son by the time the boy was a teenager. An angry teenager. Tony wasn't good with kids in his own opinion, and had very few experiences with them. But he tried his best, and he did find he liked their company. Even now, though he was a Knight dealing with a Chibi Senshi, he felt the protective paternal pull that directed him to make sure she wasn't going to get herself hurt.

"You want to go find a youma? Don't you think that might be a little dangerous?" he asked cautiously. He let her take his hand, though, watching her with a smile meant to placate and not condescend. "What if we're not lucky and find a large one? It's never too good an idea to go out looking for trouble without a purpose. Training is very important, but it should be balanced without putting yourself in unnecessary danger."

He said it, but he knew he had already done the same thing at the start of his career as Camelot. He went out youma hunting not just to save lives, but to practice and get to know his abilities. But he had learned some lessons the hard way in that, and now that he was already battered and sore he saw the sense in fighting when it was necessary, and conserving himself when he could. If he was weakened by a fight that he had sought out for fun or training, then he might suffer for it when he needed to protect someone.

And he wasn't sure he could risk that.

Hug-bell seemed to look at Tony curiously and her head tilted as she held his hand looking around for which direction to go. "Well... just because they're big doesn't mean they're strong." She said thinking, "It's not dangerous if you know how to fight them. Plus..." She paused pulling Barnaby from subspace. "I have him."

She smiled looking up at Camelot, "He's a very good catcher. He grows really big to catch things." She nodded as she looked around. "But if you're not comfortable finding a youma..." She paused, wait no she couldn't offer Barnaby as a training aid he'd just shrink when he's hit. She frowned, "Well I'd offer Barnaby but he shrinks when he's hit so that's no good for training."

Of course Camelot was older which meant once again 'listen to adults'. Hug-bell let go of his hand and found a place to sit, "I wanna help you train though." She said with a frown, "I just don't know how if you're worried we'll run into a really strong youma."

The knight smiled and shook his head. He wondered how a young girl could be, in her way, braver than he was. Maybe he felt he understood too much. It was both wise and experienced, but also inhibiting. Kids weren't lumbered with that. They barely had inhibitions, when it came down to it. He had seen younger kids walking reading in the library just get up and spin in a circle, just because they wanted to. He had voices telling him not to do that.

Of course, there was a difference between what was acceptable for kids and adults, as well. If he span around, it'd be weird, not endearing and free spirited.

He walked with her, hoping they wouldn't run into a youma. He didn't want to risk it, really, even if she was very confident in her doll.

"That's a very cute bear," he said, surprised. He didn't know senshi had items for their magic. Maybe it was different for Chibi senshi. Then she started pouting at him and he frowned. He couldn't fight against pouting. He was a sucker and a push over.

"Well. Maybe we can find a small youma..."

Hug-bell looked around as they were walking, occasionally turning to walk backwards. "How long have you been a knight?" She asked curiously looking up at him, before turning around to walk properly.

"Thank you." She smiled softly giving Barnaby a squeeze, "He got beat up once, I'm surprised he came back."

Her pouting however stopped when he said they could maybe find a small one. "Oh! Okay~" she said in a sing-song way, smiling. "I'm sure we'll run into a nice and scrawny small one." She nodded happily.

Something was following them, watching cautiously as they walked along. It's eyes seemed to glow before a small hiss came from it's mouth. It looked a lot like a wolpertinger eventually hopping out behind the chibi senshi and the knight. Chittering angrily at them, seemed to have inky black scales instead of fur and rows of teeth.

"Uh. Not too long," Camelot admitted, smiling. "A week or two now, I suppose. The days have all been kind of blurring together since I... you know... suddenly found myself with chain mail and shield."

It was still strange to think about, how he had been living an almost normal, or as normal as it could get, life. Now he was doing these strange things, fighting with these powers, living the life of an actual knight. Different, maybe, than the books he read, but still.

He was Camelot. He was a knight. He just couldn't get over that.

"Ah, yes, I was surprised when my shield came back after the first time it got destroyed. I mean, it shattered in a fight, and I thought I had lost it my first or second time out. I was miserable, I'll be honest. I thought I had lasted a whole day as Camelot and ruined my chance."

He smiled thinly.

He paused, though, hearing her say they would run into a small youma and hearing the growl almost at the same time. He looked around, not spotting it until he turned at the sound of it behind them. He frowned at it, tilting his head to the side.

"It seems we found one."

Hug-bell grinned as she listened to Camelot, "Wow!" She seemed amazed, as she listened to him speak, wiggling, "Ahh well he's gotten minor cuts and things before and repaired. I just wasn't expecting him to come back after being shredded to the point of no normal repair."

She knew how hard it was to get her mother to fix a stuffed animal that was pretty well trash. "I've had plush toys thrown out because they ended up hurt bad enough mom couldn't fix it." She gave a nod.

She paused when she heard a chittering noise lofting a brow as she turned back to face the animal. "But... what is it?" She asked knowing obviously a youma but she'd never seen one so... so ugly. She noticed the rabbit ears and frowned.

The wolpertinger youma went charging at the pair as they stood there chittering angrily, the thing wasn't much taller than Istas' knee but it was still large for a rabbit type. Ears pinned back the monster seemed to want to ram it's antlers into the child's legs as it charged hopping forward.

Camelot smiled.

"I'm glad you got him back. It would be a shame to lose your cute little friend." He knew kids loved their stuffed animals. He couldn't blame them, really, because they were like little portable safety blankets. Ones that could change size and protect in a fight were probably even better.

Not that little kids should be getting into fights.

Like right now.

Instinctively, Camelot put himself in front of Hug-bell, watching the youma with keen, interested eyes. It was small, at least, which was what they had been hoping for. It was still capable of attacking, though, as it charged forward.

"Whoa!" He said, moving to stoop and shove his shield toward the charging youma, hoping to throw it off its course or, more likely and unhoped for, get its antlers stuck in his shield.

Hug-bell squeaked when the thing charged at her and then Camelot stood in. She jumped back slightly Barnaby in hand, taking a fighting pose she'd seen Sailor Iris use, she was ready to attack the little monster.

The shield deflected the monster easily enough antlers making a wooden clunk when contact was made. It distracted the monster shake it's head temporarily confused as to what it just hit.

Hug-bell saw the monster look confused and took her chance to run around Camelot and Jump on the youma's back aiming a heel towards the youma managing to kick it before having to tuck and roll away just having made the youma really mad, it was hissing at her she had Barnaby ready just in case. "You're turn!" She called at Camelot as she scrambled up.
